Hi Heather, the fact that you felt peace of mind throughout the planning process is honestly the best compliment I could receive. Your itinerary moves from the Chobe riverfront in Botswana through to the Sabi Sands in South Africa, and that combination in late November, when the bush is lush and the summer light stretches well into the evening, is going to be something else entirely. The Sabi Sands in particular has a way of delivering wildlife encounters that feel almost impossibly close.

One thing worth knowing about the Amakhala region is that it sits in a malaria-free stretch of the Eastern Cape, which means you can relax completely and just soak in the Big Five sightings without a second thought. Mid-January out there brings long, warm summer days with the bush at its greenest and most alive.

Excellent service from start to finish! The team was responsive, professional and genuinely attentive throughout the entire planning process. They helped coordinate our private road transfer from Nairobi, our stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, game drives, park fees and the transfer to the airstrip for the next part of our trip. Every detail was clearly explained, and any changes or questions were handled quickly and efficiently. We were also offered complimentary travel insurance for the Safari.com portion of our trip, as well as complimentary eSIM data for both travellers, which was such a thoughtful and practical extra!
