For the most part, everything went well with the rv rental. The only issue was the height measurement of the toy-hauler loading door. The website description/measurement was actually one inch higher than the actual door header height. One inch may not seem like a lot but it does matter if you are loading an off road vehicle. Friendly suggestion is to verify all measurements before paying a deposit, as I could not get a refund, even though the website measurement was incorrect.

I would like to share my great experience with Kyle with the RVShare leadership team.

This is our first time renting a travel trailer and I had questions after I booked the reservation. Kyle did an outstanding job patiently walking me through the answers to all my questions and details of the program in a way that was easy for me to understand.

Your decision to keep a direct phone number and ability to talk to a real person is a company differentiator. Keep that as part of your brand promise.

I will most likely rent again from RVShare as a result of my positive experience with Kyle. Hopefully when it's time we can work with Kyle again. Kyle is an ambassador of the RVShare brand.

I am not happy with how RV share handled our claim for the damage. They get a 1 Star. The claim was put in and I requested an itemized list of what was damaged and how I was charged for it. I was told that they only provide that to the owner. A little frustrating to be paying money for something without know what and why. The owner was nice enough to share the information with me. The summary only gave a price for parts and for labor, no detailed list on how they got that amount. Not a good system for openness about the money I am charged. I will look for other option for renting an RV rather than using RV share.

The RV and communication was good. Had a trailer driver side blowout on the return trip and found that the lug nut wrench was too flimsy to change a tire. Noted that 5 months earlier a renter had the same issue on the other side, not sure about the tires. The owners did mention the possibility of using a drill but did not have one to use. Luckily a Good Samaritan stopped to assist, otherwise we would have been there for a while awaiting assistance from roadside assistance.

I was able to pull the trailer with my 4runner, which is what I wanted. A little crowded my family of 5, but that is what I get for wanting to pull with my vehicle. The outside fridge and the freezer worked great. The inside fridge was not cool enough and I should have adjusted the setting but didn't. The AC worked well.

We were owners of an RV listed on RVshare. The first year was great, until a renter wrecked our RV and caused $18,000 in damage. Renters are required to purchase insurance through RVshare when they rent, which is supposed to give owners peace of mind. Our renters did purchase insurance, but it came with a $4,000 deductible. The renters then canceled their credit card and have been impossible to get ahold of.

RVshare told us it was up to us to collect the deductible from the renters, and they offered no help at all. We are now without our RV to rent for income or to use ourselves, and we are stuck dealing with the financial loss.

Based on our experience, we do not believe RVshare is a trustworthy business. Owners should be aware of the risks before listing their RV.

If you want, I can also rewrite it to sound more formal, more aggressive, or more like a short review.

Terrible policies. Rented an RV for Easter weekend months in advance and was contacted the day before to let me know that the RV had a mechanical issue and could not be rented. This isn’t RV Share’s fault but when they refunded me for the rental, they kept $25 for a non-refundable screening fee and refused to refund it.

The guy we rented the RV from was terrific, but the company itself is a joke. We paid $1000 for insurance and roadside assistance, and ended up needing roadside assistance. We called and asked for a tow to be dispatched at 7 pm. We were obviously talking to a call service in another country. We ended up had paying an extra $135 for the tow because it would be over 100 miles. The next morning we called twice to inquire about the ETA of the tow,and both times were told 45 minutes. We finally got the name of the towing company and called them ourselves and found out they had never been dispatched. The tow arrived in 30 minutes, the guy was able to get us started again and on our way. I doubt very much we will ever get reimbursed for the extra money we paid out. We will never use RV share again.

Booked an RV for delivery within the given radius for the area I searched for. Owner of RV said he was unable to bring the RV to the requested campground even though it was within the radius. The kicker is it auto booked the RV and charged my card so when I went to cancel the RV because of the owners fault they wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. I contacted RVshare and they did not care it was not my fault and would not give me back the fee. RVshare only cares about money and will not take care of customers that have an issue. Avoid at all cost, much better trust worthy companys out there.

RV Share made finding an RV that was in great shape, with a nice, responsible landlord/host to rent it from easy.
This was our first RV experience, we rented an RV to stay at the Sherwood Forest Faire campgrounds two nights, and it went very well. Jesse our host was organized and patient, and his RV was clean, well maintained, well stocked, and Jesse delivered/picked it up from the campgrounds for a fee.
And once I saw how much effort and time was involved for delivery and set up, I knew those fees were well worth it! I would use RV Share again, and I would rent again from Jesse in the future!

The camper itself was outstanding along with the owner. It’s the hidden fees that makes no sense to rent from RVshare. Disappointed that the fees were close to the rental amount.

She never gave up until we were fully helped, she did not get frustrated with our ignorance. Super experience!

As an owner of an RV who rented through RV share they are absolutely horrible when there is damage done to your unit and you need to get reimbursement! We had a renter total our RV in RV share has been battling us for almost a year now trying to give us $40,000 less than the RV is worth. We even were willing to meet in the middle of that 40,000, got a lawyer and they are still standing firm. Their customer service is horrible, they take forever to get back to you, and do not back the owners of the RV at all. They also sent us a 1099 for almost triple what they actually paid us which we have proof of and had to fight with them to get that corrected. If you own an RV and I thinking about renting it out use a different platform.!!!!!

RVShare as a van owner has proven to be a complete nightmare.

I had my camper van listed for 8 months - with zero interest - while outdoorsy and RVezy gave me consistent listings.

I finally had someone book through there and after my. An had been listed for 8 months with ZERO communication - it was after my van was booked that they sent me an email with a 7 day deadline to provide proof of a recall repair.

They have no clue how anything works. First - they only sent an email (I get 309 emails a day). They have my number to text.

Second - they gave me 7 days to provide proof of a repair. My van has been in the shop since DECEMBER 1st!! I’m still waiting on parts and approvals for the work.

They can’t even tell me SPECIFICALLY the work they are requiring proof of. When I pushed on that - then they wanted the list of maintenance items I was having them work on.

I’ve had them completely remove my RV from their site.

I recommend everyone do the same. They are scammers.

Oh yeah. They were hacked and I received dozens of emails of scammers. Took them for ever to plug the leak. Then their customer service folks all deny it.

I rented a stationary rv. The owner told me I would not have to pay the insurance fee. He was wrong. RVshare would not honor the owner's committment and I ended up cancelling and having to pay the $135.15 service fee anyway, since insurance through RVshare is MANDATORY under ANY circumstances.

Tried to reserve an RV through their website, but the process was misleading. After submitting my reservation, I was told it needed approval, then prompted to pay for additional insurance that wasn’t included in the original quote. By the time I called to ask about the unexpected charge, they said the reservation had been approved and it was “past 24 hours,” so canceling cost me a $65 fee—even though approval happened almost a full day after I booked, giving me no real chance to clarify anything. Canceled because I didn’t trust the hidden fees. Still fighting to get my $65 back.

Unlike my experience with Outdoorsy, RVshare answered the phone! Taylor answered my insurance and service fee questions but just as important, she listened. Thank you for the very generous discount code for my 30+ day rental.
