Excellent table, good quality and made to measure.

Just 3 problems...

1. The order took longer to arrive than estimated at ordering. Then the item didn't arrive on the agreed day, despite me waiting in all day. No communication from R&O at all so I phoned them only to be told the item wouldn't actually arrive that day. I was given no explanation. Just a very dismissive and not very convincing "all we can do is apologise". Clearly the items hadn't even been despatched, as I'd had no notification from the delivery company.

2. When the desks did finally arrive, both were giving off VERY strong chemical fumes, giving me and my partner headaches and nausea despite the items being in a closed off room. The toxic odour is still there, several days later, despite me leaving the windows wide open, in the middle of winter. I can only assume the items were packed as soon as they were touch dry and hadn't been given enough time for the excess stain to evaporate properly. Anyone who's ever stained wood knows this is going to cause problems.

3. The furniture itself looks good but is inherently unstable. The legs once attached are insufficiently braced so any weight placed sideways (such as someone leaning against the desk) risks the woodscrews (all thats holding the thing together) being pulled out and therefore irrevocably damaging the desk.

So, all in all, not great. I strongly regret not paying the bit extra to get a better quality item and better service.

Ordered a Buxton solid wood desk. Beautifully made and easy to put together. Looks and feels like a quality piece of furniture and a pleasure to sit at. Would recommend.

Dining table ordered mid October and arrived with us on 25 November. It is now up and looks absolutely spectacular!
The wood is amazing quality, with guide holes for the screws provided.
Chunky sturdy metal legs, complete the look. For what we have received the price is fantastic. We would totally recommend Rust and Oak.

After searching everywhere for something to sit above our hall radiator and make use of the awkward space under our stairs, we came across Rust and Oak — and we’re so glad we did. Their console table sizes offered were exactly what we needed, and the style was perfect for our home.

The product pages clearly explained the lead times, and ordering was quick and straightforward. Our console table even arrived a few days earlier than expected. We received tracking information promptly, and the courier was friendly and helpful on delivery.

The item was very well packaged and simple to assemble. I also contacted Rust and Oak with a small query, and their response was incredibly fast and helpful.

Overall, a fantastic experience and a beautifully made piece of furniture. Would highly recommend!

Great items and great service. We have now ordered two small shelves to go either side of our sofa, a large shelf to go above our TV and a lovely round table and 4 chairs.. just wish we had room for more!

This console table exceeded my expectations. I wanted something to finish my entrance hall of, and after speaking with Kristian I’m so glad I went for the 86cm legs and the walnut finish.

Great shelfs, great price, very happy

Excellent service stunning furniture, delivery company used was awful, I struggle to lift or carry only being able to use one side of my body and when I asked courier if they could take it upstairs for me they turned me down. So i had to wait until I had got a friend coming to help me carry them up

This was my second purchase from Rust and Oak, and they didn't disappoint. Having bought two console tables for my lounge, I ordered a third for the hall and it's fabulous. Quality is excellent nd customer service is second to none.

I ordered a bespoke hall console table in Tudor Oak from Rust and Oak - ordering was straightforward and the delivery proved to be rapid and made with care.
