RunThrough Trail events
I’ve had the pleasure of racing in 4 of the RunThrough trail events now and I must say they’re always such well run events in some stunning locations! The parking and routes are always very well sign posted/ flagged with amazing support on course.
The event village before and after is equally as great and a lot of options for drinks and food there. For those looking at trail races in stunning locations I couldn’t recommend their events enough!

Fantastic race organisation
I had a great time at the Ladybower 21K trail race by RunThrough. Everything was so well organised, from packet pick up to the course markings and marshals. I’ll definitely be back at another trails race by RunThrough soon!

Newark Half well organised event and nice flat course
I’ve ran Newark Half two years in a row and can say it is really well organised, there is always a good turnout and nice and flat. Love the support you get from the people and residents of Newark and surrounding villages. A great event by Runthrough. Look forward to 2027

Life threatening unprofessionalism
Never have I seen such disregard towards water and by doing so - to runners safety.
During the latest Dorney Lake Marathon the water stations were unmanned or short-staffed for nearly the entire race.
On my last loop, when I was already quite dehydrated, I picked up a cup just to find out it was empty.
There were so many people who stopped running or lay down dehydrated during the race. I never saw anything like this! And I ran more than a few races in my life.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we're really sorry to hear how you felt during the Dorney Lake Marathon. Runner safety is our top priority, and it's upsetting to read that you found an empty cup. If that happened, it would be a genuine mistake and we sincerely apologise.
We've spoken to our team on the day to understand what happened. Our water stations are staffed throughout the race and on marathon days we have 3 members of staff on each water station. However, we know that the top water station got VERY busy at times, but the team on the day did their best to manage this and it should've always been manned, even at times when it was a little busier than normal. On the marathon course, runners pass a water station 16 times, and our team at the station near the event village confirmed it was staffed for the whole race too.
We'd still really like to hear more about where on the course this happened so we can look into it properly and make sure it doesn't happen again. Please drop us a message at info@runthrough.co.uk and we'll get back to you personally.

The most unhelpful people I think I have ever come across!!
Nearly 5 weeks ago the Nottingham run was cancelled due to travellers moving on the site. As I had a training plan I asked for a refund for myself and a friend that I entered. Now fast forward 4 weeks when it was agreed I am still yet to see my refund.
People take 2/3 days to reply to me emails. I was told 10-14 days which it shouldn’t take to do a refund anyway, but that was 7th September they agreed my refund!
Honestly don’t think I’ll be going through these guys again if this is the poor service I’m receiving.
Can someone please just give me my refund!!

Prices
Great set up and lots of options of running but personally my opinion is prices are a little high for an event ,
I had an injury before an event which cost me close to 90 pounds and to defer to another event a lot less in price they still want money to defer , which is a bit harsh really, injuries or sickness should free defer really just my opinion.
Yes I know logistics costs and staff ect but work out how much is made per event on how many runners on it it’s some dish there

Media City. Another well organised event
Another well organised event, the best I’ve been to so far, a number of different races taking place, standard 5k, relay 5k and a 10k. It was clearly evident a lot of planning had been done to get us all informed and off at the correct time.
There were different registration points for each race making it easy to sign in and getting ready for start time.
The course was well laid out with the stewards giving additional direction on the course as well as encouraging all runners.
A great location for the event with easy access and plenty of parking. I am aware of alternative travel options but driving is the best for me.
Looking forward to another event soon.
