Terrible experience with Andy and another salesman. They never came back with answers to any of my questions and just wanted me to come in and buy the car no questions asked I assume!

The whole process from walking into the sales room to walking out was Fantastic!! Lee was so professional and helpful. I will definitely recommend!! I bought a Mini Countryman today. And have previously bought cars from Riverside and have never had any problems whatsoever with them.

Worst experience ever , cars are not roadworthy, conditions of them a bad, absolute rust buckets underneath and they have no clue about the cars their selling. Avoid AVOID AVOID , read other trust pilots reviews not google !!!

Do not use this Company they make you reserve the car online and you have to pay a £250 deposit which is non refundable. They are now saying it wasn't compulsory but they made it very clear to me that they could not reserve the car I had to pay the £250 which they are now refusing to hand back. A bunch of bandits.

Sold me a car which had been bodged up and had numerous expensive faults costing £3900 within 3 months of purchase.
Warranty is not worth paper its written on. Will not pay out.
Owner Lee verbally abusive to the point of sounding manic on the phone screaming at me, has no customer service skills at all, just a money grabber!
I cannot believe a garage purchasing a vehicle doesn't check it over or read its service history before parting with cash to buy it in. Quite clear this car should not have been sold not roadworthy!
Clearly from reviews this is common practice from this garage.
Having to take legal action and report to motor ombudsman and trading standards.

I am currently helping my friend sue this company. Their 12 month warranty doesn't cover anything on the cars. This is a cowboy out fit beware!!!!!!

Please do not buy a car from these conmen, travelled 3 hours to collect my car.

Firstly when trying to leave the battery was dead, had to wait nearly 2 hours for a replacement to be fitted. Secondly during my 3 hour journey home the steering wheel was severely pulling to the right even though I had been informed this had been rectified as I pointed this out during the test drive. Thirdly the breaks had a horrendous judder at high speed 70mph, Fourth buttons began to fall out of the steering wheel to the cruise control followed by a rather loud banging from the rear.

As you can imagine having driven a 6 hour round trip to collect my £26K car I was upset to say the least, I contacted the owner Lee to express my concerns who responded by stating it was a used car what do I expect, I advised that I had spoken to my finance company for my part exchange and they would be willing to refund him the settlement figure paid to allow me to return the car and collect back my part exchange to which he said you can’t do that I own that car now and is going nowhere, very aggressive behaviour to say the least.

Following many uncomfortable conversations I managed to arrange for the repairs to be done, 6 days later I received my car back and am still experiencing brake judder, this is due to the fact he only replaced the pads to the front and not the rear, I of course contacted Lee again who advised he has no more money to spend on my car and I am just being fussy even though I had only purchased it less than 2 weeks before and was still in fact under warranty. His response was well the pads are running low on your part exchange, 1. This has nothing to do with my new car and nothing was noted when they fully inspected my car upon appraisal 2. This is not the case the car has previously had the gear box service done and a health check with Audi main dealer 2 months before who advised the pads where only 30% worn.

At this point with him refusing to carry out the repairs I asked him to clarify what exactly the warranty covers to which he reply’s I’m not getting into it I’m putting the phone down now !!!

What kind of company is this, in all honesty this company seems to be more of a front if you get what I mean as they have no idea when it comes to cars.

I have also now reported them to trading standards who I have shared all recordings of all phone calls and messages to back up and will not be letting this drop like so many others just keep reading the reviews.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CONMEN !!!!!

Warning if you’re looking at buying a car!!

We visited riverside car sales and were happy with the service we received at the start. We picked up our car on the 18th June and the customer service from Eddie was great. We brought the £300 service and MOT package with our car as we thought this seemed like a good deal.

On the Sunday we noticed a rattling sound coming from the left front side. I rang the garage on the Monday and they got us in at their service department for it to be looked at.

The service team told me the shock absorber was broken and needed replacing. I picked the car up the following day and noticed that the knocking was still there so I rang back and told them and again I was booked in.

I was told my car needed more work doing to it now and the work was done. I told the service team I had lost confidence in them due to it having an MOT with no advisories the Thursday before collection. I rang and spoke to somebody from the sales team and expressed my concern as they had the car 3 times and there were still issues therefore I wanted a refund on the service and warranty package. I was told he would have to speak to his director about this as it was a none refundable product.

Fast forward to picking my car up on Friday night from the sales team, I was greeted by Rob and Shane.

Shane showed me a sheet with the work that had been done ( as I requested). I asked if this should not have been picked up on an MOT or as an advisory as previous cars I’ve had mot’d have had shock absorbers on here. Rob came over and asked me if I realised that an MOT was the most basic check on a car and didn’t mean a car was roadworthy or safe…. So I asked if that meant he didn’t care if his cars were road worthy or safe then. He was quite aggressive in his reply telling me how offensive I was and that I had already upset all of his service staff by saying I had lost my confidence in them. When I tried to respond he shouted ‘ did you say you’d lost confidence Yes or no’? He said this twice as I tried to respond but wouldn’t let me speak until I had said no. I said that actually I had lost confidence and I think that’s quite right following the issues. He told me a normal person wouldn’t say that and they’d ring back and say it wasn’t quite right…

I asked again for a refund on the service and MOT plan I had purchase. I was told this is not refundable. I said to be honest then I think I want to refund the whole thing as the experience hasn’t been great and I’m within my 14 days and actually because I’m a women you’re talking down to me.

Shane they responded saying I was so offensive for calling them sexist. Rob told me to get out of his car garage and that I was not allowed to return there.

I said if I’m not allowed to return then how am I supposed to use the service plan so I want refund and he just kept shouting get out and leave the courtesy car key in the car and don’t come back. I felt very intimidated as they started walking towards me shouting so I left.

The next day my father in law returned and miraculously I ended up being refunded the money. So clearly sexist and thought they could get away with ganging up on a pregnant women. Disgusting service!

These people are basically scammers... their warranty after purchase is a rip-off. Be careful with these people!
I bought a car from them, the engine broke before six months and the only solution is to force us to go to court, knowing how expensive it is, so that to the price of the car in bad conditions we have to add the repair and the costs of the trial. As I said... scammers, be very careful.

This is the thir car i have bought from riverside car sales the staff are always very welcoming, proffesional and any issue i have had with any cars, e.g. start motor on land rover evoque and a seal on a bmw z4 were all sorted straight away without any issues... just bought an M4 off lee and cant be happier... :-)

Absoulute joke of a company. Chased for 3 days to view the car automatics are hard to come by so set my heart on this one. Then my dad and partner went up to view the car .All seemed great till they pulled up with no log book , no bulbs in plate ,broken wing mirror ,broken glove box , no receipt of purchase, broken cigarette lighter , broken shock on driver side and engine management light had come on and it hadn't been cleaned as valeter hadn't turned up to work . I appreciate these things can go or blow as any time my dad must of hit a speed bump so hard it snapped glove box or hit a mirror aswell . Wasn't collected Friday. Was on Saturday by a guy who brought me a manual courtesy car ,ok easy mistake but it hasn't got no road tax ,mot on it and then reversed my car into the wall as he was on the phone to them . It's now Wednesday evening . I was told I would have my car back Tuesday morning then it changed to we will contact u . Iv rung again this morning 11 40 to be told its on a test drive and would ring me soon as back 4pm and I messaged to be told he wants to keep the car over night to see if it comes back on . Must think it's solar powered and come on in dark? . Unless it's being driven or started it's not going to ! But what do I know hey !! But good old johnny just blames business partner who I haven't even spoken to at all yet all these things are his fault apparently but his biggest concern is making sure it's right well it should of been done before sale and a broken wing mirror would of surely been a advisory on mot along with broken bulbs . Wouldn't be surprised now if more things go wrong with my review

i have dealt with Lee and the lads at riverside for the past 5 years, ive had more that 10 cars in that time and so have every member of my staff.
i honestly couldn't rate them high enough, a family ran business from people who truly care, i had a issue with a car once, nothing serous just a window wouldn't go up and down and without hesitation it was collected, fixed and returned.

its at the point where i dont by my cars from anywhere other than here now because i trust them that much.

My wife and I are very happy with the car

Bought a car in December, upon collection car was not MOT’d. 5 months later still waiting for them to settle finance on the part exchange despite staff telling me pretty much monthly it was about to be done, I’m effectively paying for 2 cars still. Part ex car sold by riverside so clearly they don’t do all their VOSA checks as would show as outstanding finance before they sold it.
