Quality of their jeans have gone down the toilet yet prices went right up after covid

I ordered a long wool blend navy double breasted coat only a few days ago online and it was delivered today..its absolutely fabulous and great quality. I am delighted with it.

Just had a terrible customer service experience, the incompetence is unfathomable both in store and cust services line. Save yourself time and stress and just order elsewhere, they will c0ck up your order. They are really quick to take money but unable to deal with a problem, cust services dept uninterested and absent of common sense, just robots, can't be human must be AI as couldn't understand basics

customer service is absent. they open a ticket and they close it without providing any help! they say that all costs are paid (ddp method). but the charged me AGAIN customs clearance! noone is answering to customer service! noone wants to help. they have default answers

Ich habe in zwei unterschiedliche Bestellungen jeweils zwei Kleider für einen bestimmten Anlass bestellt.

Eine der Lieferungen habe ich mit DHL retourniert. Diese ist seit dem 15.06.24 bereits laut Sendungsverfolgung bei River Island eingegangen. Die zweite Bestellung kam leider zu spät bei mir an (ich war bereits im Urlaub) und wurde an den DPD Pick Up Shop geliefert und von da auch wieder retourniert.

Ich habe mich an den Kundenservice gewendet, da bis heute immer noch keine Rückerstattung erfolgt ist.

Man wollte Sendungsnachweise haben und diese habe ich nun mehrmals dem Kundenservice zukommen lassen. In Form von Screenshots und auch die Sendungsverfolgungsnummer in einer E-Mail.

Auf meine letzte E-Mail, in welcher ich zwei Screenshots angehängt habe, einmal von der DHL Sendungsverfolgung und einmal von Rebound River Island, der Seite über welche man die Retoure anlegt, wurde mir nur geantwortet:

Thank you for you reply. I'm so sorry to learn that you have not received your refund for a return, this is not the usual standards.
I'm afraid that the email you provided us with is the Rebound confirmation, this is not a direct link to the tracking therefore it can not be used as valid proof of return. Could you please provide us with the email receipt that you would have received from DHL at the time of drop off?
As soon as we have this infomration, we will be happy to help you further. I look forward to hearing from you!

Ich habe bereits mehrere E-Mails erhalten, in welchen gesagt wird, dass es sich nicht um die "usual standards" handelt aber mir wird auch nicht geholfen sondern es kommt mir sogar mittlerweile so vor als würde man versuchen Zeit zu schinden oder mir meine Rückerstattung nicht zu zahlen.

Update:
Ich habe mittlerweile einen Konflikt auf PayPal mit Käuferschutz geöffnet. Hier wurde mir von RI mitgeteilt, dass man eine Rückerstattung am selben Tag terminiert hat, ich jedoch den Konflikt schließen muss damit ich mein Geld erhalte. Auf PayPal habe ich gelesen, dass man einen einmal geschlossenen Konflikt nicht mehr öffnen kann. Ich habe zu diesem Zeitpunkt den Einlieferungsbeleg bei PayPal hinterlegt, welcher der geforderte zweite Beweis meiner Retoure ist.
Anschließend habe ich eine E-Mail, welche meine Retoure bestätigt von River Island und auch von ReBound erhalten aber auch jetzt habe ich noch keine Rückerstattung erhalten.

Meine Artikel habe ich am 14. Juni retourniert. Die Bestätigung, dass meine Retoure eingegangen ist habe ich am 11. Juli erhalten. Heute ist der 16. Juli und ich habe noch immer keine Rückmeldung oder Rückerstattung erhalten.

Selbst nach dem weiteren geforderten Beweis, welcher hier in der Antwort von RI erwähnt wird, habe ich keine Rückerstattung erhalten.

Received a item stained/marked, paid for next day delivery as wanted the item for holiday, to receive it in a disgusting state, photos sent to river island customer service team as requested and then told to return and il get a refund, absolute joke that I then have to go to the hassle of going a return and waiting for money to be refunded back into my account which would be no issue should the item delivered have been fit to receieve, no help whatsoever at customer service, won’t buy from there online again they obviously send out others dirty returns without checking them would only recommend buying in store if you wish to buy anything

Terrible, lost my return, still charged me and asking me to jump through hoops to claim back. Everything provided apparently not enough, just a complete waste of time nd energy for a sub par product that ive returned and am still being charged for. Will never use RI or the rest of the group again genuinely shocked at how bad they've got over the past few years.

We see good and reliable businesses go bust all the time, why are RI still around.

Bought this beautiful blouse picture is exact like the picture lovely detail and colours so nice. The sizing is perfect so pleased. I also bought this bag weave bucket bag lovely for summer must say it's the best buy I've made in ages

I have been a loyal customer of River island since I was fifteen. I am 50 now!
They have refused to issue me with a refund and now have my money and the items I returned to them. They received my return on the 16th April and I have still not had a refund. I emailed Christopher who I believe is the finance level 4 manager and he was so rude to me and dealt with my query with absolutely no compassion, regard or understanding. How do river island expect customers to return if this is how they treat you. It’s disgusting!
I have now taken it up with my credit card and they have issued me a refund and have made a complaint. I have been advised not to correspond with river island anymore as my credit card company will deal with it all from here on. (MBNA fantastic customer service)
Shame on you River Island. I loved your clothes but sadly I will not be shopping with you anymore after the way you have left me feeling. I am so upset.

Awful quality and overpriced. Nothing like it used to be. I'd say matalan or primark are better. Save your money and go elsewhere.

They wouldn't let me return even though my jeans came ripped. I explained to them its not my fault but nothing seems to get to them

I picked up my top today and was served by a very nice member of staff who was happy to chat while I was waiting ,i tried it on while I was there,and it fits perfectly,love it thank you River Island great experience in your Huddersfield store

Shocking customer service. I will never order again. I have an email to say I will receive a refund but that was a month ago. They are shocking! Customers services are really poor and just repeat themselves.

I actually visited river lane on opera Lane in cork city and I was assisted by such a fantastic girl who name kealcie she was downstairs in hand bags section I have to say the young girl was so fantastic her assistant was amazing. She had a fantastic manner about her .and she was so helpful she was .and she had my day.

I bought a pair of boots from River Island from their store in Exeter. I loved the boots and they felt great...for a week! After a week the whole of the sole then became detached from the rest of the boot. I was not offered a receipt upon purchase, but emailed River Island to explain there may be a product problem and that this was my first purchase from them and they had broken within a week of wearing them.
The customer service team were less than helpful and basically refused to take any responsibility for the product falling apart within 1 week. Needless to say I will not be purchasing anything from River Island again.

I purchased on line with river Island on 7/12/23 was told it takes 10/22days delivery it is now 15th Jan 2024still no delivery I was tracking all the way I emailed riverisland a few times asking for a refund then I was blocked I will never shop with them again I will stay with M. S. Next etc never had a problem you can't even phone any of stores same voice name they have no policy if anything goes wrong I would give them zero marks so becareful when shopping with them as you won't get a refund 🇮🇪

UPDATE: So over 20 emails now and still no refund. I had an email to say a refund would be issued within 48 hours but that was over a week ago and still nothing!!
I wouldn't even give their customer services 1 star.
I ordered online a purse for my daughters Christmas present they sent the wrong colour so I booked a collection with Royal mail to return it the next day.
The Royal Mail picked it up and sent me an email receipt stating time collected etc and all the collection codes.
I have now sent 9 emails with a copy of the email and I just get an email asking me for the receipt which is clearly attached to each email I have sent!
They also won't give me anyone I can complain to formally either they are a disgrace to be honest, I won't be buying from them again and I shall just keep sending the same information and see who gives up first.

Disgraceful, unhelpful, inefficient, horrible customer service. Refused price adjustment for mentally vulnerable customer shoving her carer T&C for faulty jumper. Has it not been for this vulnerable lady who wanted red jumper, I would never enter their store. Shame on their greed and disregard.

I do wish they'd stop pleading with me to buy stuff from them and tempting me with vouchers etc.
I ain't gonna get our business until you stop supporting genocidal regimes.
