River Island Anmeldelser 

I placed an order 10/05 for store click and collect. Email received to state it had been dispatched yet it never seemed to make it to the store. Delivery status stuck on ‘dispatched!’ Two store visits later and the same feedback ‘order number not showing anything/no information.’ Told me to contact customer services…it’s then day 10! (20/05). Said they’d issue a refund which still hasn’t arrived in my bank account! Sent me a 20% voucher off my next order. Reordered this item 20/05 for next day delivery to my home address. This item has also not arrived! Email to stated it was dispatched 20/05. Evri app/tracking states that it’s waiting to be received. What on earth is going on with River Island. How can this happen and nobody be able to track where my items went to after the initial dispatch email? There must be some internal scam going on somewhere that should be investigated. I’ve paid twice for this item!! No outfit for my holiday tomorrow! Mega disappointment and frustration.

They don’t even deserve one star. I contacted the customer service team regarding my order, and I was informed that it had been delivered to the store. However, I never received any confirmation email indicating that my order was ready for collection. When I went to the store, they said there is no such an order. My order is lost! I called the customer service multiple times and they repeated the same incorrect information - that my order is in store. This back-and-forth, with no resolution and contradictory updates, has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

This is not the first time I have encountered such an issue with River Island. A previous order I placed also went missing without any resolution. Repeatedly having to visit the store and call customer service for orders that are ultimately lost is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the reliability of your service.

HAD A VISIT TO RIVER ISLAND TODAY, AFTER A VERY VERY DISSAPOINTING ENCOUNTER WITH NEXT !!
FOUND SEVERAL OUTFITS, FANTASTIC QUALITY, VERY MODERN NOT LIKE NEXT, GREAT SERVICE AND CUSTOMER CARE WOULD FULLY RECOMMEND.

Refund my money, I returned your items and you refused to refund my money why?

Be careful with this company as you can opt and pay £6 to get it delivered quicker but this is a con as it still takes 5 days,standard delivery 3-5 days waiting on delivery,,5 days wait if you pay extra to get it quicker ,,can anyone else make sense of this?????

Worst customer care ever. They cancelled bottoms of a bikini set only after shipping the top, they keep badgering me with proof of proof of proof of shipping the return (which I provided). The return tracking number clearly states delivery 15 days ago. I will definitely take this to Mastercard and they will sort this out.

Returned 4 items from an online order only to get a refund for 3. After no end of calls/chats/emails they have refused to refund me with the 4th item as I can't provide the proof of postage. I destroyed this once I got notification that the parcel had been delivered to them. I can provide proof of delivery but not postage.
They then had the cheek to knock off the return postage from my refund. But the issue is not whether the parcel has been delivered, they know it has it's the fact that they haven't given me a refund , so how is that relevant?
Customer Services is shocking and just reply with standard rehearsed responses, even when they are not relevant to the question.
They have just lost one regular customer, plus my two daughters

I have ordered 3d flower shirt for £59 online arrived very poor quality. Returned the product and they have deducted the postage from the refund £8,95 how disappointing especially when you pay extra for fast delivery and you don’t receive it next day!

Faulty shoes
I bought a lovely pair of wedged black shoes with a white sole for £42 from River Island. After 5 months I realised they leaked through the soles. The whole sole was pockmarked with a pattern of round holes. I rang river island and was told to return them to the store. I took them with the receipt to river island Swindon. The young manageress told me they had been 'worn too much' and when I pointed out there should have been a sign on then not to wear too much when I bought them, she said that I had trodden on a set of holes!!
Like a typical woman who loves her shoes, I stupidly bought the same pair in Eastbourne River island. I stopped wearing them before winter so as not to 'wear too much' but in March I wore them again to discover they also leak. They also have an identical pattern of holes on the sole. This second pair was now 8 months old but hardly worn.
I rang River island and was told to send photos and receipts. I did so and today they answered that the second pair were over 6 months old so they could do nothing. They ignored the 5 month old pair and the fact they have identical defective soles. Not good customer service.

Ordered a dress on the 7th of February meant to be here for the 11th still no sign, nightmare to get through only via email. Still waiting on a reply to where dress is!

The prices of clothes at River Island are quite expensive compared to the quality provided. I can get similar products at a more affordable price from other brands

For some reason plus size river island has been scaled-down only a few clothes naw in size 24 and 26 nothing special when I contacted them to say they never got back very disappointed with them as they only care and only catering for the very thin people seam to gave gone back to the old days they need to up their game gone down hill naw shop with other shops who are catering for the plus size same on you

Ordered a dress in size 18. When it arrived I thought it was a joke. The dress was so tiny it wouldnt of fit a child. Surely the person would of checked this at the other end? probably not because everything is stuffed into plastic bags with a size sticker on top. My jackets were 79 each both stuffed into plastic bags when you complain in the shop they pass the book. Gone are the days when items were sent with care and with a hanger. Clothes arent cheap from there either they make massive profits. All these reviews mean something and RI need to read them and act on it

DO NOT USE ONLINE!

They sent me used items, i then tried to return them due to this, sent pictures etc. they emailed me 3 months later claiming i cannot return these items due to them been worn, yes i know thats why i returned them.

Another 3 months later no reply and back to the start with a new customer service agent. They have these items and my money. I cannot get anywhere with them what so ever.

Please for your own sake use asos or go in store, do not send back online awful awful shop.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!
The lengths this company goes to scam people it's ridiculous. I never even thought that it went downhill so much. No customer service, no answers in the shop either. They took a jumper that bled from me, said they will send it back and someone will contact me. Over a month later, the shop doesn't have the jumper, customer service can't help and now they are not replying either. They practically stole 40 pounds from me. And in this economy, it is disgusting to do that to people.

My parcel was not received due to being left outside by Royal mail, I raised this straight away with River Island and was initially told a refund had been processed. Number of days later I received another email from River Island Customer resolution team who advised me that that I was not to receive a refund due to there being no reason why I should not have received the parcel, even though there was clear evidence the parcel being left outside and I haven’t requested a safe space. Made contact with River Island again and received another response from Alan at Customer resolution to say the case was closed and if I wanted to take the matter further, I could seek legal advice as there was no clear reason why I should not have received the parcel. I decided to contact Royal mail who advised me it was too late for me to raise a claim due to timing and no one had raised any query or claim against my tracking number; however they did provide me with a reference number and asked me to go back to River Island who actually could submit the claim on my behalf. I am now waiting for a response and a reference number from River Island who told me they had raised this query with Royal mail when in fact they hadn’t. Apologies for the grammar I am very disabled with my hands. Very disappointed with the resolution service and I will take this to small claims.

The store manager Rebecca has to be the nastiest and the most stuck up store manager I have ever seen. She’s deffo needs major training on how to greet and treat customers. She’s always got a horrible face on and whenever asked for help she gives you attitude and no help at all. This hasn’t just happened on one occasion it’s always the same experience. Had an experience with her recently and when asked for her name she said that they’re not allowed to give their names out. How funny is that in the field of customer service they can’t give their names out and don’t wear any name badges. Well if you’re so scared of being complained about then suck up your nasty behavior and act kind towards your customers. Will deffo be reporting this further but she needs to learn how to behave in customer service, with that attitude of hers she doesn’t even deserve to be a poundland manager

The young lady serving was the loveliest, helpful and chatty.
