Well, several years ago, they started well. It was a revolutionary money transfer service at that time. The distinguishing feature of Rewire, which makes it standing aside from all other money transfer services, is that there is actually no money transfer between countries. You deposit money to a bank account in your country and in your local currency, or even transfer between your account and Rewire account inside the same bank and therefore, pay minimum (just for your regular bank operation). After that, in the destination country of the transfer, Rewire makes a deposit to a destination account also in the local currency. I used this service for four years, and it has been relatively safe until now. This year, they have probably been caught by authorities for illegal operations. Indeed, this kind of "money transfer" is not actually a money transfer but cheating banks and tax organizations. Most important, there is no way to catch them unless big sums of money start flowing in and out of their multiple bank accounts. Then the question of legality can be raised. This is probably what happens this year, and they started limiting the maximum amount of transfers drastically. If you reach the certain maximum, your deposit may not be transferred. Moreover, you account will be blocked as mine. They will start looking for excuses, requesting the same documents dozens of times, asking to sign papers, and after all this is done, the same will be repeated again. But your account will never been unblocked and you won't be able to use their service anymore. So, please be aware. They started saving their a***, and all accompanied problems will be now on your part. Therefore, my strong advice is not to risk your hard earned money anymore. One fine day, you may find that the amount you sent disappears, and there is no way you can legally object and demand anything from them, because the whole service, as I explained, is hardly legal. According to my observations, everything goes to such a situation. In my opinion, we may soon hear that Rewire's management is on trial.
