Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, and we’re genuinely sorry for the experience you had with us. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to wait several weeks for your iPad and to have to chase us for updates. We also appreciate your kind comments about our staff and the way you were treated in-store.

We would like to sincerely apologise for the confusion and delays with the communication. We understand that being told your device was ready, only to then be contacted and told otherwise, would understandably be frustrating. This was not the level of communication or service we aim to provide.

When we opened the iPad for the battery replacement, we found an underlying issue with the motherboard circuit where the battery connects. This meant that we could not safely proceed with simply replacing the battery and needed to send the device to our central workshop for further repair.

Our workshop repaired the circuit and returned the device to us, but during our testing we found that, after the battery had been fully drained, the iPad was not accepting a full charge correctly. Because of this, we sent it back to the workshop again for further investigation. Additional parts were required, and the technicians carried out extensive testing to make sure the device was working correctly.

Unfortunately, testing this particular fault was very time-consuming because the device had to go through repeated charge and discharge cycles, including charging from 0% to 100% and then draining it again to properly verify the repair. This is why the repair took considerably longer than originally expected.

We also understand your frustration regarding the updates shown on our website. We use a separate system for our Level 3 and motherboard repairs because these repairs are handled by a different department and workshop. Unfortunately, the website system we use for customer updates does not automatically receive or display the detailed progress reports from the Level 3 department. This meant that the information shown online did not accurately reflect the progress of the repair, and we apologise for the confusion this caused.

When we were finally advised that the device was working correctly, we contacted you to let you know that it had been repaired and that we expected to receive it back by Tuesday. We also explained that we would carry out our own further testing before sealing the device and returning it to you.

During the final testing, however, we discovered that the iPad had the same issue, working intermittently. As we were not satisfied with the result and did not want to return a device to you that we were not completely confident in, we made the decision to reverse the repair and return the device to you rather than continue with a repair we could not guarantee.

We appreciate that, from your side, this resulted in a very long and frustrating experience, and we are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and time this caused you. While we did everything we could to investigate and resolve the underlying issue, we recognise that the communication throughout the process could have been much better.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused, and we appreciate your patience throughout the process. We are also grateful that, despite your experience, you recognised that our staff was friendly.

We’re sorry to hear that you have experienced further problems with your phone, and we’re sorry that you feel this way about your experience with us.

We would just like to clarify a couple of points from your review.

If you have a problem following a repair, you do not need to have your receipt. You can simply bring the device into our shop and provide us with your name, and we can look up your repair details on our system. We have never required customers to bring their physical receipt in order for us to assist them or locate their repair.

Regarding your screen replacement, we fitted an Original Samsung Service Pack screen, the same type of genuine Samsung part used through Samsung's own repair network. We also use the appropriate original Samsung adhesive when fitting these screens, designed to maintain the device's original water-resistance characteristics as far as possible after repair. However, no phone should be considered completely waterproof, and water resistance can be affected by age, previous damage, wear and tear, or subsequent repairs.

When you previously raised concerns with us, we asked you to bring the device back so that we could inspect it properly and see what we could do to help. Unfortunately, you did not bring the device back, and the phone was subsequently dealt with by another repair company.

We are still happy to see the device if you wish to bring it into us. We can inspect it and see what we can do for you, particularly if you are concerned about the current screen issue or recovering your important data.

We’re sorry that you have been left unhappy with your experience, and we would still prefer the opportunity to help rather than leave the matter unresolved.
