I tried Birch for about a month to…

I tried Birch for about a month to support my campaign monitoring and performance analysis workflows. While the platform shows promise and has some useful features, it didn’t fully meet my expectations in its current state.

The interface and insights are helpful at times, especially for identifying patterns like creative fatigue, but overall I felt there is still room for improvement in terms of depth, consistency, and actionable recommendations.

That said, I can see the potential, especially with the pace at which AI capabilities are evolving. I’d be open to giving Birch another try in the future after further AI updates and improvements are rolled out.

Terrible

Terrible. Platform wouldn't allow me use financial services verificaiton in Australia, didn't optimize anything while I looked at it over a few days and just didn't do what was advertised. I cancelled and disconnected. Because we spend $500k plus total monthly on ads we then get hit with a $516.30 bill AFTER CANCELLING. I reach out to get a refund and they respond say all of their privacy clauses don't require them to refund and all this other BS. Stay away from companies like this, when you don't use a service, got proof of not logging in and not using it and they send you an email saying this they are just trying to rip you off.

To clarify what happened: during the billing period (Oct 18–Nov 18), your connected ad accounts spent over $51,000, while your plan limit was $10,000. That triggered $516.30 in overage charges. These charges are outlined in our Billing page and in the terms you agreed to when signing up.

We know this is not the outcome you expected, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. The overage system is designed to keep accounts active rather than pausing them, but you always have control to disconnect ad accounts or upgrade plans to avoid this.

We are using this tool for automated reports delivery in Slack and some alerts to Slack. This tool is great.

Disappointed by the lack of reliability…

Disappointed by the lack of reliability and support

We've been using Birch to streamline our ad launches, but unfortunately the tool has been buggy and unreliable. Last Friday, due to yet another malfunction, my assistant couldn’t launch the creatives as planned — I had to spend over four hours doing it manually myself.

This defeats the purpose of using a premium service like Birch. For a platform positioned as high-end, we expect professionalism, consistency, and robust support. Instead, the only compensation offered was a 10% discount — a token gesture that doesn’t begin to cover the time lost or the operational issues it caused in my business.

Really disappointed. I hope they take these issues seriously moving forward.

The issue you experienced was due to a publishing bug that temporarily affected campaign launches via Bïrch. While it didn’t result in any direct cost or performance losses, we understand it caused a frustrating manual workaround during those few hours. However, it is important to note that our engineering team fixed the issue within four hours - outside their regular hours - to minimize disruption.

We also want to clarify that a 20% discount was applied, not 10%, as a gesture of goodwill. We take your concerns seriously and want to reassure you that reliability and strong support are - and will remain - top priorities for our team.

Good Tool to Manage Ads

As an engineer

As an engineer, I think Bïrch is overpriced and not really worth it. The software itself doesn't offer much functionality and, in many cases, isn't applicable. I've personally tried it and found that it doesn't fit every country or scenario. For instance, many Asian markets prefer purchasing products via Messenger and chatting directly with an admin, something that Bïrch doesn't handle effectively. Its features are rather limited. If you understand Meta's rules clearly, you can achieve similar results without paying anything. Bïrch doesn't actually help you acquire customers or provide meaningful analysis—it simply automates conditions like duplicating or increasing budget when ROAS > 3, or pausing ads below certain thresholds. Considering all this, the Pro version should realistically cost around $29 to $39 per month, certainly not as high as $99.

We understand Bïrch may not be the perfect fit for every market, but many users see strong value in the time saved, results improved, and decisions made easier.

On pricing, we benchmark against the impact we bring to businesses at scale, but your feedback is truly appreciated and helps us keep improving 🫶🏼

We are in the women's clothing industry. The rules engine is powerful and reliable. It helped us significantly reduce wasted ad spend while improving ROAS. The support team is always quick to help if any help is needed. I highly recommend it!

The system is buggy and support is non exsistant

The system is buggy and wouldn't allow us to upload client data, Luckily we were on the trial, and Support is almost impossible to find and I was able to contact someone who had no clue about anything to do with their system. The help menu doesnt cover things like trouble with integration and youtube videos are limited. I am thankful for not being on a subscription and feel this product has along way to go. 1 star is deserved ,.Meta and Google were the issues I had

They are very unfair

They are very unfair, guys, similar to a scam. I subscribed to the service because I thought it was interesting. I did not have time to test and work on it and I went on working on my own strategies directly on Meta. Not only they billed me for (NOT) using the service, but they were pretending to get a very expensive extra fee for my spending done OUT of the platform and without using it either one single time !!! I lost 200 USD for doing nothing.

A very bad way to engage clients.

Please be carefull about terms and conditions. If you decide to cancel yearly subscription after some time, it will be hard to get money back.
