I ordered a blouse from Retrofete, it was cheaply made and had an ill fit. I returned it 2 days later and got a confirmation of the return a couple of days later . However, almost 4 weeks later I realized I hadn’t been refunded so I naively reached out to what I thought is a legitimately professional company . After some confusion and runaround I was told that my return arrived with a TEAR. I was literally blown away by this dishonesty and shadiness. I am not a person that would ever rip something and then send it back but it was my word against their insane lies at this point. I kept asking why I wasn’t contacted about this alleged “damage” from September 16 until I reached out for a refund on October 14. Suffice it to say they had no clear answer for me aside for some mumble jumble gaslighting jargon . At this point I will take it up with my financial institution;however I STRONGLY CAUTION potential shoppers to steer clear of this company for your own benefit . There’s plenty of beautiful clothing to be found on the web from reputable brands at a similar price point . They also had the audacity to mail the blouse overnight to me instead of a refund . Again this “damaged” blouse was in their warehouse for 4 weeks with no word from them prior to my request for a refund.

Ended up wasting $800 because customer service NEVER REPLIED, and it is the only way you can return it. And They did not let me return in store considering I live right next to it, and they said I can only email and they cannot do anything. NEVER AGAIN.

I am in shock how terrible my experience with Retrofete is and I don’t understand why this website is not being taken down, considering how they’re stealing your money.
I have sent back my purchase of 1005€ and it was delivered to the warehouse on 24th of June. Since July 27th, which is over a month later!! Retrofete is claiming they have sent my refund back and provided me with a fake transaction ID. Til this day I have not got my money back.

Please please please don’t order here!!!

The items did not fit and were not eligible for return due to final sales. The shape and the stitching did not accentuate my figure (90-64-94, size S) but were unflattering handmade me look bigger. The overall fitting was far from perfect. Not worth the investment even during sales.

I did not get my refund for a €900 euro dress and cannot get in touch with customer support. They recieved it almost two weeks ago.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

This company does not deserve even one star.

I returned my dress and have been trying to contact customer support since last Friday through emails and messages. Every single attempt has been completely ignored. Not one response, not one acknowledgment, and not even a basic confirmation that my return has been received.

To make matters worse, I have received absolutely no update regarding my refund. Being left in the dark for days after returning an item is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for customers.

A company that takes customers’ money should also take responsibility for providing proper after-sales support. Ignoring customers when they need help is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

I deeply regret shopping with this brand. Unless they dramatically improve their customer service and communication, I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering. I am still waiting for someone to respond and process my refund.

My experience with @retrofete has been extremely disappointing.
I purchased a dress for €1,394, but unfortunately it did not fit. I returned it within the allowed return period, and DHL confirmed that the package was delivered to Retrofête on 12 June 2026.
Since then, I have been waiting for my refund. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I have received no response from Retrofête. I have also contacted Global-e, which handled the shipment, but have not received any reply.
As a customer, I find it unacceptable that a company can receive a returned item and then become impossible to reach regarding a refund.
I am now pursuing the matter through my payment providers, but I wanted to share my experience so that other customers are aware. They have horrible customer service, simply there is no customer service.

beware of this company. For starters, their prices are outrageous for the materials and the quality of the product. I ordered a final sale item for a dress that retails about $400 for which I paid half price for in it came used with no price tags. It was not as pictured on their website. It had fraying all over the hems and it was not supposed to be on this particular dress. The pocket was not the same. It was clearly used washed and returned. In addition it was shrunken and I had already ordered an extra small. I sent this company plausible evidence that I received a defective dress that was used on a final sale to get no response. I paid over $200 for this used dress. It was the last one in stock. Somebody must’ve returned it used and they just sent it to me. Absolutely unacceptable even at the sale price. I want my money back.

Worst customer service!!!! I ordered 6 items, next day they canceled one and refunded me, mind you I wouldn’t have placed the whole order if that dress wasn’t available, they shipped two items to MYUS, now it’s been 10 days they haven’t shipped the rest of my order that’s worth over 1000$ they don’t reply to emails or calls or instagram DMS even looking up the order number on the website it says it doesn’t exist ! So what they shipped is on hold in MY US can’t ship it to Kuwait cause I’m waiting for the rest with zero response !!!! Unprofessional,Total scam, zero respect for people’s time and money, poor customer service, no accountability looking to take legal action against them.

I would choose zero stars if that was an option. I made a purchase with retrofete of two dresses. Neither worked. I returned both in the same box/packaging I received them in. My return was within the guidelines to receive a full refund. They claim I only returned one dress and kept the other. Neither dress worked for me. Both too big. They are lying to my credit card company stating they never received the one dress even though they were returned together. They provided fictitious email correspondence with me. They never reached out or replied to my countless emails. Now I’m disputing and they are taking this stance to rob me of over $500! BUYER BEWARE. no purchase is worth buying from this scam of a company.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering from Retrofête.

I purchased a dress for a wedding and experienced significant shipping delays with little to no communication from the company. The dress ultimately arrived after the wedding had already taken place, making it completely unusable for its intended purpose.

Because of the lack of communication and the numerous complaints I found from other customers regarding delayed orders and refund issues, I initially opened a dispute with my credit card company.

When the dress finally arrived, I immediately returned it unopened. Retrofête confirmed receipt of the return and instructed me to allow up to 10 business days for my refund to be processed.

The refund never came.

When I followed up, I was told Retrofête could not issue the refund because there was an “open chargeback” on the order. However, my credit card company advised me that the dispute had already been resolved. I have now been caught between conflicting explanations while Retrofête continues to hold my money.

What concerns me most is not the delayed shipment itself—shipping issues can happen. It is the lack of accountability, the inconsistent information, and the failure to honor the refund process after receiving the returned merchandise.

As someone who spent years working in luxury retail, I find this level of customer service unacceptable. Customers should not have to chase a company for answers after returning merchandise in accordance with the company’s own policies.

I am still seeking a resolution and will update this review if Retrofête ultimately issues the refund.

In my opinion, Retrofête is one of the most overpriced brands on the market right now. The quality and pricing are completely disconnected from reality. Many of the pieces look cheap, overly flashy, and almost costume-like rather than elegant luxury fashion. A lot of the embellishments look like basic sequins instead of refined couture craftsmanship, and honestly some designs resemble things you could easily find on AliExpress for a fraction of the price.

The pink mirrored dress for $2,450 USD honestly feels like a joke 🤣 and what makes it even worse is that many looks are not even sold as full sets everything is separate, so by the time you complete one outfit, the price can easily reach $1,000+ for quality that simply does not justify it.

There are so many other brands nearby and online creating beautiful, feminine, luxurious pieces with far better fabrics, tailoring, and customer experience for the same or even lower prices. That’s why people should really think twice before supporting companies that feel more focused on draining money from clients than actually delivering quality and caring about their customers.

Personally, I would much rather spend my money at brands like Self-Portrait, where the dresses actually feel elegant, timeless, and worth the price.

Please be very cautious when purchasing from this company. Once you place an order, it appears to be extremely difficult if not impossible to return items and receive a refund.
They received my return on May 19, and as of June 4, I still have not received my refund. To make matters worse, they charge a $15.00 return fee, which makes this situation even more frustrating. Additionally, no one is answering phone calls or responding to emails.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding doing business with them.

I absolutely love Retrofête—the material, the style, the colors, and even the prices. Everything was just perfect! Whether you’re shopping for a wedding guest dress, a wedding party, a birthday celebration, or any special event, this is the best place to shop.

@Retrofête is a complete Mickey Mouse operation. Zero customer service, impossible to get anyone on the phone, and they didn’t even ship my order within their own stated timeframe. Never buying from them again, way too many better brands out there to deal with this level of incompetence.

Very bad experience . I sent numerous emails and left many voicemails regarding an issue with order , never heard for them back . Be very cautious when ordering . They do not respect customers ( complaints ! )

terrible store that does not respect customers! they regularly send me damaged goods and do not want to refund! I returned it to them the last time and I see on the track that they received the damaged dress, but they won't even respond to the email

This company and website is a shame. Still waiting on my refund for an item that never came please save yourself time and money and do not order
