After completing the Remote Job Academy programme and landing a remote job within a few weeks, I can honestly say it was worth every penny!

I checked out the reviews below first and saw some haters (you get that everywhere)- those haters simply didn't do the work and expected results to magically happen. This programme isn't some magic wand that gives you a job on your lap- it's a coaching and mentoring programme that only works if you put in the work.

If you're the kind of person who wants a shortcut and quick fix, this isn't for you. But if you're the type who simply needs some expert guidance and advice and willing to put in the effort, you'll get a remote job for sure.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but given the amount I invested in this programme, I feel it's important to share my experience.

I chose Remote Rebellion / Remote Job Academy largely because of its advertised 21-day money-back guarantee. Spending $2,517 on a career programme was a significant financial decision, and the refund policy gave me confidence that, if the programme wasn't the right fit, I would have the opportunity to get my money back.

Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

I came into the programme genuinely excited and committed to making it work. I worked through the programme material, attended the coaching calls, engaged with the community, and spent countless hours researching remote companies, refining my career direction, and applying the advice to my job search.

Despite my efforts, I didn't feel the programme delivered the level of value I was expecting for the investment.

When I realised the programme wasn't meeting my expectations, I raised my concerns respectfully and in good faith. Rather than making a decision on my refund request at that point, I was encouraged to continue with the programme for several more weeks so we could revisit the discussion. I agreed because I wanted to give the programme every opportunity to change my experience, and because I was reassured that "it's not about keeping your money."

After those additional weeks, my experience hadn't changed. My refund request was still declined, and I was offered just $600 back on a $2,517 programme. The reasons given for refusing the refund relied on additional metrics that were not part of the published refund eligibility requirements (on their website and in the terms & conditions) that had influenced my decision to enrol in the first place.

For me, the advertised money-back guarantee created a level of confidence that simply wasn't reflected in how my refund request was ultimately handled. Had I known that this would be my experience, I would never have enrolled.

I appreciate that the programme may be valuable for some people. However, based on my own experience, I cannot recommend it. If you're considering joining (especially because the money-back guarantee gives you peace of mind), I would strongly encourage you to think very carefully before making such a significant financial investment.

I cannot highly recommend Remote Rebellion enough for anyone looking to change their career and pursue a lifestyle that finally suits their dreams. I joined Remote Rebellion at a time I felt completely stuck in my career. After 15 years as a data analyst and several toxic full-time roles, I was determined to find a healthier, more flexible remote opportunity. Also the platform itself is fantastic, there’s a huge library of high-quality resources I haven’t even finished exploring yet, but I’m sure I’ll return to it if I find myself remote job searching again in the future, to be prepared for the the next chapter in my career.

I joined Remote Rebellion for the obvious reasons: strategic revisions of my resume/cv, assistance identifying remote job sources, and expanding my network. Not only did they deliver on these services, but I got something I didn't even know I needed - a sense of community.

As a Premium member, I signed up for the service that included cv/cover letter review and alignment, 1:1 coaching calls with remote work experts, access to weekly group coaching calls, and a collection of online learning materials, resources and networking spaces. I high recommend starting with the learning modules in the Remote Job Academy course to understand the RR approach and ground yourself in the job search methodology. While the course and 1:1 coaching sessions were incredibly helpful to my process, I was pleasantly surprised by the value of the community as a whole.

As a senior professional who is pivoting away from a +15 year career in higher education, I am a natural introvert who prefers keeping their head down and their eye on the prize. I signed up for Remote Rebellion this Spring in the Collective Program. The course Michelle put together is extremely valuable. I learned so much and it helped reinforce the confidence I needed during my job search. But even more so, I found value in the small group calls with other rebels and Michelle. Misleading, they do not deliver on what they promise, they do all this just to gather leads.
