One of the worst office rental experiences I’ve ever had

One of the worst office rental experiences I’ve ever had — I strongly recommend not using their services at all.

First of all, the sales team misled me, which resulted in a financial loss as they charged me for an extra day. Their explanation was misleading, and when I complained, instead of helping, they only called me to defend their sales team and put the blame on me.

Then, after I started using the office, I discovered I’d been incorrectly charged for kitchen services I hadn’t even used. They ignored my emails for nearly two months (or more) before finally correcting it and issuing a refund.

On top of that, since moving in I never received the building fob that would give me 24/7 access. It’s now been almost six months, and despite countless follow-ups I still haven’t been given access, meaning I couldn’t use the office outside normal working hours or on weekends. The new manager even told me he wasn’t aware I didn’t have access because he had just started — yet even after that conversation, he didn’t follow it up. My six-month contract is nearly over and I still don’t have the fob.

What’s more, while they are unresponsive when it comes to their own responsibilities, they refused to accept even a single piece of mail for me that wasn’t addressed to my company, saying they only accept company mail.

This company is irresponsible and completely lacking in commitment — do not trust them.

Your response is not accurate.

For clarity:

I visited the centre many times between July and September, met both management and staff, and was never once told that my access card was ready. On one occasion, when I had forgotten my office key, the Centre Manager even issued me a temporary card, yet still no mention of my 24/7 card. The first acknowledgement only came after my Trustpilot review, when I received an email saying it had simply been “forgotten” to inform me.

Even if, for the sake of argument, I accept that my card had been available since July, the fact remains that for more than three months before that, I had no 24/7 access at all, despite paying for it under my contract.

The reality is that I paid for 24/7 office use but was deprived of it for the entire duration of my contract, alongside other issues. Rather than acknowledge this, the company’s reply misrepresents what actually happened.

To me, their answer here only confirms how valid my original review was. It also suggests that my complaint has effectively been rejected, which unfortunately leaves me with no choice but to consider more formal steps.

We are sorry for your dissatisfaction. However, please allow me to clarify the circumstances.
As discussed back in March, you requested the start date of the 17th which we provided evidence of your messages at the time. This is the start date we provided to you.
We are aware that there was a temporary issue with access cards which was outside of our control, but we apologise for it.
Still, if you had visited the centre, we would have provided you with access whenever you needed it. The cards are now working.
We cannot accept mail unless it is listed under the company name you have with us. This is local law and out of our hands.
