Absolutely amazing service i feel like im in Great Britain when dealing with these 5star

A Nightmare of a Company: Avoid at All Costs

I recently purchased a £459 MINELAB X-TERRA ELITE metal detector from Regton, via Amazon.co.uk. The product was faulty from the start, and the customer service was abysmal. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, the company refused to offer a refund or replacement.
They claim, despite my 25+ years In the hobbuy, that there was no fault with It, despite me proving It In numerous videos.
BUT, the real tipping point was the absolute disgraceful lows they went too, when trying to claim It was In terrible condition when I sent It back, which It was in AS new condition and WAS and IS faulty!
They also had the absolute cheek to send pictures, via Amazon dispute centre of a detector covered In dirt and stinking etc.
I am literally shaking In shock at REGTON Metal Detectors for this absolutely disgusting behaviour and the lows they have sank too.
Luckily for me, Amazon have agreed to give me a FULL refund despite REGTON, blatantly trying their luck at making up 100% lies and embarking In shockingly bad business behaviour!

Why Minelab, a brand I have come to love and trust allow a company like Regton to sell their products Is beyong me!

They refused to reimburse me for the £19 postage that It cost for me to send the Item back!.
This is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.

I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing ANYTHING from REGTON METAL DETECTORS to think twice.

Their products are unreliable, their customer service is non-existent, and their business practices are unethical. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and shop elsewhere.

Terrible service, warranty 5 years for plastic and return back and said found plastic scratch. Why xp deus give 5 years for any plastic scratches????

Regtons offer a great service. Have the components I require at usually the best price around. Delivery via DPD is also quick and efficient. No issues in recommending Regtons to anyone.

Superb company to deal with. some off my equipment went faulty, so i spoke to them , subsequently returned it ..got a phone call when it had been recieved , they replaced it no if's or but's and it was returned next day..thanks

This has been a frustrating experience and quite inconvenient. I’m sure the products are great, this is not a review of them but an honest account of my experience.

Goods were shipped quickly via DPD. I was happy with this as I have a DPD account and use the app all the time. Probably one of the best carriers.

Got notification item being delivered on Monday. Like lots of people I work so was not going to be home. Powered up the app to select an alternative delivery arrangement. This is where the problem started. There were none of the usual options available apart pay more for a Saturday or reschedule. No point rescheduling as I’m at work in the week and Saturdays I’m not around right now as my mum is seriously I’ll in hospital so I’m with her.

I tand DPD to enquire why I can’t collect from a local collection point and I’m told that this company has disabled that feature!

In fact they won’t allow;

Collection from a pick up point (usually Curry’s)
Leave with a neighbour
Leave in a safe place
Deliver to an alternate address.

Now I do understand the safe place thing as delivery drivers have been known to chuck over the fence but why disable the others???

On speaking with the company they are not much help. They don’t allow these options as they are so hung up on “their” interests and what’s best for them without much regard for the customer. They could learn s few lessons from Smazon here.

Eventually they agreed for me to pick up from the DZpD depot. Need to take, utility bill ( who has paper bills these days?) driving licence, and delivery card. Seems a bit overkill given my driving licence had my pic and address.

So today I had to drive a 20 mile round trip to collect my parcel. Why this couldn’t be collected from a local DPD collection point I will never understand.

So I definitely won’t be ordering from this company again. Far to much hassle if you can’t be there for when it suits them.

Guys, you seriously need to review this and consider your customers needs.

Visited Regtons today (13/6/15) to upgrade from a Garrett Euro Ace to an XP Deus.
Originally bought the Garrett over the phone from Regtons and this time they gave me an excellent quote for the Deus.
I have only been detecting a short time and watched numerous items online. I feel that the information that Nigel at Regtons gave me, has put several things into perspective and will help me find more proper targets in the future. Unlike some other companies, he did not try to sell me all sorts of extras, in fact he put me off buying a couple of items, that thinking about it, I don't really need. If I have any problems or queries in the future, he will be only too pleased to answer them for me.
Regtons will certainly be my first port of call in the future.
Now to unpack the Deus and fit it into its hard case.

Having bought items from Regton a few times i have found their service exemplary. They are always quick to respond to any quiries you have. For example i sent an email to several companies concerning a detector at the same time. I had the detector in my hands before the other companies even bothered to reply. Its a pity they dont sell minelab detectors as i would rather use Regton.
