Benchmark in customer service!

Benchmark in customer service. Had an issue with a powermeter, couple of calls and emails later, all within 24 hours of first contact, I have instructions to send my faulty out-of-warranty device to have it replaced. A week after shipping it out I receive a replacement device. And I live outside the US.

Wow. Just wow. I am yours truly, dear Quarq, for the rest of my days.

Your sales representative was extremely helpful when I encountered an issue attempting to do an online transaction
I was very impressed by his concern and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that I got what I wanted

Horrible Customer Service

My Powertap hub, G3 cap stopped working. Tried to engage with customer service to warranty but since its been over a few years and i cannot produce a receipt although the serial number is quite evident on my photos that i sent i was turned down. Emails back and forth for 2 weeks to CS took days a time to get responses. When this was with Saris they would take care of their customers and i have used the hub based power for over 10 years, now Quarq and this is what i get, not even a discounted new hub cap unit. I have a new Tarmac that i was considering purchasing a spider version PM but i am seriously considering going with Dura Ace crank arm based PM rather than deal with this company.

We are sorry you are experiencing frustration while working with our customer service team. We did not receive any sales data from SARIS, so unfortunately the only way we are able to confirm that a product is within the two-year warranty period is through proof of purchase. There are other troubleshooting and service options available that we would be happy to talk through with you. I can see from your email chain that we have be responding to you regularly since you first reached out last Thursday. For a faster resolution, it may be best to reach out to us at 1-800-660-6853.

If I could give them a higher rating I…

If I could give them a higher rating I would! I had a set of PowerTap P1 pedals and I had them in for repair once at PowerTap. They fixed them and they seemed fine. Recently they quit working (left pedal) again. I contacted Quarq who now owns the PowerTap design. I spoke to Rebecca on the phone and explained what my P1s were doing. She immediately said to send them in for warranty work! She sent me a shipping label, I packed them up and with in a week they were back, with one exception. They sent me brand new P2 pedals which are fantastic. I couldn't be happier. Thanks Quarq.

I am pretty impressed with the Quarq…

I am pretty impressed with the Quarq team and their willingness to carry the ball on problems. I have PowerTap pedals which have been far from trouble free. The most recent issue is after not using them for 8 months the cap on one pedal was frozen and would not come off even using semi destructive means.

The Quark team happily took over.....

As to PowerTap, I think they have caught a break. The cycling community has fairly low standards for vendors and quite honestly, their reputation was outsized IMHO
