Worst experience. Period. Twice they have lied about the role and pay rate. If you are a school or a candidate, you don't want to do business with them. Also unprofessional and disrespectful.

Terrible experience. Lack of professionalism. Consultant takes calls during the interview showing no respect to the candidate. When I sent complaint about unprofessional conduct, the same person called me and was just rude. If I see advert for a job, I simply ignore. No way I would ever consider working for them.

Allegria is amazing.She is friendly and straight to the point.She was helpful when I was in doubt and promptly replied. However, Not much referrals came through, actually none so far.I defined receive lots of email but they do not match my position.

I had a deeply negative experience working with Prospero Group. The management team demonstrated a lack of empathy, and I encountered a workplace culture that was oppressive, misogynistic, and discriminatory. The company prioritises profit over the wellbeing of both its staff and the vulnerable individuals it claims to support.

During my time at Prospero, I witnessed several unethical practices, including double-charging local authorities and exploiting the already overburdened social workers. Instead of providing adequate support for those in need, Prospero placed under qualified or inadequately checked support workers into critical roles, simply to fill placements and generate commissions.

One incident that particularly stands out to me involved a director from the Cardiff branch, who knowingly invoiced a local authority for a shift that was never actually worked, remarking that they 'hoped they wouldn't notice,' which, on many occasions, they didn’t. The company generates significant revenue from local authority placements, but the way these transactions are handled is both unethical and wrong.

It was clear that the company's focus was on financial gain rather than on delivering quality care or ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the young people. I would not recommend working with or for Prospero Group based on my experience.

Firstly, I would like to give a very big thank you to Allegria! My onboarding experience with her has been phenomenal. From the very beginning then all the way through the intermediate stages eventually ending up with the role offer, she has been extremely supportive & kind. Within a few days of being registered I was offered a long term placement. Since then I have had work every day.

Hi,

I was contacted regarding a tutoring role and was excited about the opportunity. I completed the online video registration and uploaded all the requested documents via the link provided.

However, I encountered an issue. I was later sent another link asking me to complete a DBS check and pay £56. This is confusing, as I already have a valid DBS certificate that I obtained four months ago. My understanding is that if a new DBS check were required, Prospero would cover the cost. I am not willing to pay for this, as it was never communicated upfront that I would need a new DBS or bear the cost myself.

Additionally, I am frustrated that I had to upload my documents twice without this process being clarified beforehand. Why wasn’t this communicated earlier?

Frankly, this process feels disorganized and misleading, and I am now concerned it might be a scam. I regret not researching more thoroughly before committing my time to this.

Could you please clarify these issues?

Registration was rocky with poor communication & unorganisation. Completely unprofessional & disingenuous staff within the tutoring department who abuse their positions as consultants. If they do not want to give you an assignment /tutoring role, they don't take your calls, ignore your reply emails & tell you they shall call you back/email you later but never do. Consultants force tutoring role upon you with disingenuity which is done over the phone.

Grace was a great first point of contact, the registration process was efficient and enjoyable leading me to take on a role that I hadn't realised I even wanted but that I really like!

A good, friendly onboarding experience and my consultant was able to provide me with work very quickly.

After recently being made redundant I knew I wanted a complete career change but didn’t know where to start or how to get into being a teaching assistant. I turned to Louis Harris who made the whole process feel stress free and made me feel confident into stepping into something I have never done. Louis has been so helpful and quick at getting me where I need to be. I feel so grateful to have had his help and guidance. I would recommend Louis to anyone who is looking into starting a new chapter.

Starting with the interview, the first consultant (interviewer) seemed promising, and genuine, but there were early signs of disorganisation: my name was input incorrectly, which could complicate documents. They promised to follow up after, but didn't (never replied to texts and emails for weeks). Every time I called the branch they always responded she's not in/ on break and will tell her to call back (which she never did). Another person then took over.
On my first day, I was tasked with providing 1:1 support for a student. Upon arrival, no one at the school seemed aware of my role, so I was given random tasks, moving between classrooms, and even assisting with lunch duties—completely unrelated to my job description. The school later informed me they wanted me back for two months to work with the same student. Hoping for another attempt, I returned, only to be unexpectedly assigned to a different student without any prior explanation.
After working for 2 days, the school informed they no longer needed me- they broke the promise. The consultant said there is nothing they can do, things like this happen a lot. Then reassured they would update if there is another job. They never did, so I had to contact them weekly but returned with disappointment. At the end my consultant became unreachable and the branch never returned my calls
One thing to emphasise is they don't protect you, makes you feel like a disposable utensil, and sides with the school if anything happen. Disappointed and very unprofessional

I had an excellent experience with the onboarding process at Prospero, thanks to Allegria. From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, kind, and considerate. She took the time to walk me through every step, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed. Allegria was always patient, ready to answer any questions I had, and provided support whenever needed. Her welcoming nature made the entire process much smoother and less overwhelming. She is a lovely person and truly represents Prospero Teaching in the best possible way. Jess Carroll,in Liverpool office. She has been amazing. Her communication, availability, response time, flexibility, support etc etc have all been 5*. She is always polite, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful and completely proffesional. A credit to herself and the company. I have put a date for this review but it is since my first contact with her and every contact with her.

With their help I was able to gain full-time employment and though there were a few hiccups with my pay at the start this was quickly resolved.
