As usually the driver was in time and picked up and delivered the parcel the same day. And the communication with the driver was excellent before the collection and during the delivery. 100 percent will use this company again.

This was my first time booking Porta and I went ahead due to the reviews. I needed my 55" TV transported from my parents home to my new apartment 10-15 mins away, so not so much of a difficult task. My frustration with my experience was first, the 3 men that entered my parents home, walked straight through with wet trainers as it was raining outside. I had to stop them before they went upstairs. This is a home, not a commercial site. One suggested foot coverings, which was fine with me. I made it clear that once they take the TV to my new apartment, they will again need to wear new foot coverings as I don't allow shoes in my home and it's raining. They proceeded with the job, unscrewed parts of the TV to get it in the box for transport and packed it in the van. Upon arriving at my new apartment, one of the men wore the same foot coverings that he had on in my parents home, he had clearly not changed them as they were wet where he had walked outside, making the floors in my new apartment wet. These were simple requests, that with the amount I paid should have been respected. They then took the TV out the box, laid it on the floor and told me job done. I asked them to if they can put it on the TV unit, shocked by the fact they thought leaving a 55" TV face down on the floor was acceptable. I reminded them they collected it off a TV unit at my parents house, so it would make sense they put it on a TV unit at the destination address. They refused and said Porta did not pay them to do that? What? It completed disappointed me. They didn't find the TV face down on the floor, what is Porta paying them for exactly? They didn't put the screws back in that they unscrewed, I now had to do that? This wasn't made clear at the time. It made no sense to me as a customer using this service. I asked them to leave and thanked them out of politeness but I personally wouldn't recommend this service. I paid around £180 for a job I could have done with my brother since they did nothing upon delivering the TV and dirtying my new floors which I had to steam mop after. Porta, please make it clear on your website what the job entails and what it doesn't. I won't be using this company again.

I went to pick up a price of furniture I thought would fit in my car, realised it wouldnt so had to find another way of getting it from Taunton to Cardiff. A quick google and a couple of quotes led me to Porta. Best prices, very helpful and great communication throughout

Porta were professional about what they do. The website is simpler and easier than some others. The unboxed option is useful for awkward items.

I can’t recommend Porta Delivery enough! I had a double bed and mattress that needed delivering from Manchester to Kent with quite short notice, and I was really impressed with the speedy service and friendly staff. Mohammad was our courier, and from start to finish he was brilliant - super friendly, good at replying to messages, and really efficient. The items were delivered next day at a really good time. Thanks for all your help, I’ll definitely be using this service again!

I have shipped bikes with DHL and UPS before but Porta was by far the best experience, very competitive price but more importantly so professional, slick with excellent communication. reliable agreeable

OK so I used the Economy service so expected to wait for my rug from an Auction house.
What I didn't expect, reading the other reviews, was a somewhat below par service. However, my rug was delivered albeit 2 days late.
I'm pleased to say the Courier did turn up on a Sunday, was courteous and carried the rug indoors without complaining.
However, I happened to phone when he had turned up (he hadn't phoned before) and I had a week of texts being unanswered by him.
On the other hand Jody at Porta's was very helpful by responding to my texts, even at the weekend (They even had difficulty in contacting him).
I have advised them it would help if the drivers were instructed to keep the clients informed at all times e.g. if delays happen. (I had a couple of false promises for delivery and no messages).
The good news (so three stars instead of 1) was I had a small but welcome reduction on the final bill.
I recommend Porta's as the price seemed reasonable but be aware of the above.
