I subscribed for the Study Hall - it was a great tool for studying and specially for taking mock tests and getting familiar with the timing.

The application process is unfairly ambiguous; they don't tell you how much it matters to have as many key words as possible in your application; all anyone says is to be honest about your experience and you will be fine. Well, it became very obvious very quickly that AI is reviewing the applications and rejects those that don't have enough key words. It would be fine if they told you this up front, but they don't and it caused me to waste a huge amount of time.

My experience with PMI was great because it combined practical learning with globally recognized best practices. The resources were comprehensive, the community was supportive, and the networking opportunities allowed me to learn from experienced professionals. Most importantly, the knowledge I gained was directly applicable to real projects, helping me improve planning, stakeholder communication, risk management, and overall project delivery

The exam is challenging and gives you an opportunity to be fielded with questions that simulate actual project management experiences. I think this will help all that are certified to become better project managers.

I think the study material, the easiness to register and the Hall pass material were all great to prepare for the real exam. Very instructive material and a lot of information to learn.

My experience stems from the application process. After a some confusion regarding the number of years experience required for a masters degree, the process was very straight forward after that. My application was then randomly selected for audit, however it did not take as long as expected. I went on the pass the PMP exam, taking it for the first time.

Preparing for and taking the exam was a journey that challenged me both mentally and professionally. Studying required discipline, consistency, and perseverance, while the exam itself tested not only my knowledge but also my ability to carefully analyze lengthy, scenario-based questions before selecting the best answer. At times, the process felt overwhelming, but it reinforced the importance of critical thinking and staying focused under pressure. Looking back, the experience was incredibly rewarding, and I'm grateful for the knowledge, confidence, and growth I gained throughout the journey.

Applying and scheduling the exam was fairly straight forward. The biggest issue I had was the grammar/formatting of the questions. I am a slow reader, which caused frustration due to having to reread questions 4-5 times and still not fully comprehending it. I was prepared that this may be an issue because there were questions like this on the practice exams and heard about this from others that have taken the exam. I recommend purchasing Study Hall as a study companion.

This was a hard one exam. Took me 3 tries to get it but I finally did it!

I am pleased with how the website is organized. It’s easy to navigate, and I am rarely confused about where to find what I need.

Overall everything was ok but because of the exam changes I had to wait for 2 hours 30mins waiting on the queue.

It was a great learning experience. I have five other certifications. First time I heard about the PMP Certification was in a signature block of my company’s head-office Project Manager. When I started preparing for the certification, I felt it’s worth. The more I was going through the exam practice questions and their answers, my belief was getting stronger that this is something very valuable. It is going to equip me with skills I need in my job. The content of the certification is great. Something very close to real life challenges. I feel confident after passing the certification.

I recently passed my PMP on the first attempt, Above Target in all three domains. If you're considering it, here's the main thing I learned. This exam is not about memorizing answers. It tests whether you can make the right decision in complex, time-sensitive situations. Real project work demands exactly that & it's what makes the credential worth something.

PMI Study Hall was the most valuable prep resource I used. The mini and full-length mock exams set realistic expectations for question complexity and genuinely trained my decision-making, not just my recall. If you're preparing, treat it as essential.

The logistics were smoother than I expected. Exam scheduling through Pearson VUE sits right inside the PMI platform, so everything happens in one window, and the rescheduling option took real pressure off during prep.

To be fair, the application process takes genuine effort. Documenting your experience properly is demanding. Looking back though, that rigor is part of why the certification carries weight.

After 15 plus years in delivery and governance, this is one of the few certifications that changed how I think, not just what I know. Highly recommended.
