I have been using this service a few months now, I've tested a few games and done a few surveys.

Only 1 game test I didn't get paid for and that was due to sound quality of my headphones, there was alot of cracking.

I understand why I didn't get paid for this playtest.

Generally I've had a really positive experience I've been paid out pretty fast usually within a day and paid directly to my PayPal after I choose my payment method.

Games vary between 30 minutes and a few hours.

All payment rates have been reasonable and around the minimum wage for my area.

Only one survey I haven't been paid for but it was just before the holidays so I expect a longer delay in getting the payment.

I have been getting new tests and surveys on a weekly basis.

I will continue to use this service as I get try exciting new games and get paid for it.

I am currently a tester for this company and they have been up and down for the first year or so, it took some serious time until they started sending surveys every 1/2/3 days which are at a first come, first server basis, if you're not fast, you won't get in, there is limited slots per survey/game test, people need to realise that this is a testing company, it's not going to be fully consistent, it's as per and when. I am more than happy with their surveys and questions, the playtests are thorough, require minimum effort and all they ask for is a small criteria, they were very inconsistent at first, but over time they can and will bring more opportunities your way if you're willing to show them you're going to give them results, I was luckily interviewed by (I think) capcom, I was video interviewed and was rewarded for an hour's conversation, not test, conversation about the Resident Evil series, which I am quite a fan of, and I cannot be more proud of it. People need to stick to their guns and be quick, give effort and results in their tests, only then they would be given more opportunities moving forward. Fact.

Never received a play test or payment for anything but was constantly giving out data in surveys then hearing nothing.

I did game testing for around 2 years with this company.
Is it legit? Yes they do pay you to test games.
Is it a lot? No, it's not a lot of money. Nor is it worth your time if you're doing it for money. I just liked playing the games. However, they like to play games themselves.
On the first time they didn't pay me. I thought okay, maybe it's my fault.
The other 2 times I made sure to check every block. I noticed they don't like to pay you for being too critical of the game. They send over absolute garbage games and want a good review that's says it's good and you should not change anything. The excuse they'll give is that I didn't do a survey or didn't do something else even though I had proof.

I now play games for a company that plays games via console it's a lot better and pays substantially more. They have some strict NDAs but worth it. .
I'd stay away from Playtest Cloud.

I signed up for playtest cloud 16 days ago and have already made a lot of money. You literally play games (entertainment), then say your thoughts and opinions, its that easy.

I’m really enjoying this at the moment I done my first game test it was good I used my headphones and I was giving my opinion on the game within 3 hours of me stopping playing I had $11 in my PayPal account

PlaytestCloud is legit. They do pay you for doing their tests. However, there has been times when they had not paid me. When I did emailed them about it, they will have excuses saying that either they couldn't hear me talk, I didn't complete a survey, video didn't upload, etc. I've even sent them a screenshot of a game issue but they still refused to pay. Based off these comments, I'm not the only one they did this too.

Similar to others before me, but I will say: they took me in fora test, I did it, trying to give best feedback, both technical and emotional, uploaded the video. After I was going to city and receive an email where they were saying "you are not eligible for playtesting" and "we can't provide any information about our choosing parameters"

I wrote them an email asking for explanation but they still didn't answer.

This is my experience so far.

This company is a JOKE. Want you to test games, and then come up with every excuse to not pay you. Says my voice was muffled.

After months of waiting I finally got a game test. They say you have to play for an hour and talk. I played and talked. There was no timer so I actually played longer than I got paid for and then they didn't pay me. So I worked for them for over an hour and answered surveys and then didn't get paid a cent.

They will find every reason not to pay. I played for an hour a horrible game game checked the recording was fine now they telling me my headphones not working.

They won't pay even if you fulfill the contract. I have tested 4 games and only was paid for 1. They keep saying I'm not talking enough, but I spoke throughout the time. Not all players talk for an hour straight. I played and reacted authentically. There is no constructive criticism and no way to get feedback through the process. I do other studies for others and get compensation. I am now feeling that they are taking my data, still using it and not paying for the data. Don't waste your time.

I signed up for this site not too long ago. I was under the impression that I would be able to test games and make money. Sounds easy right? Nope. If you don't qualify as the "demographic" for the game you just don't get to test it out. It's honestly been nothing but a waste of time so far.

If you like to fill out countless surveys for free everyday answering stupid questions about games you haven't played becouse everyday they send new games, and then do an hour playtest and 20 minute survey to be told you haven't talked enough. When in fact I pointed out many bugs and problems but developer probably backed out of paying them and it falls on you. In cases like this playtest cloud should shell out their own money and pay. They were supposed to pay me 8.50 for 1 hour of gameplay, overall it took me around 1 hour 30 minutes becouse their survery at the end was long too. Its a joke. First time I had it happen to me, but I noticed the game was very buggy and badly designed and pay for 1 hour was really $hit. So I suppose it was a scam developer. I will refuse to play any $hity playtests like this from now on. It really takes ages to get a playing playtest and then when they don't pay you it's just a fůck¡ng joke. Disgusting. I would not recommend. Care to say I talked a fùcklng lot like 50 minutes you expect me not to shut my for even 1 second paying 8.50 and then doing 20 minutes survey. Maybe you canceled my recording becouse it mentioned it pays only 8.50, scumbags. I might remove this review if you pay me my money right away. Fools 🤮

Used to be great a year ago but now they waste your time and don't pay making up excuses after waiting months to get a test which usually lasts an hour to get denied. Used to get a weekly test atleast but now it's a joke. When you confront them, it's more bs excuses. Don't bother folks, there's way better companies out there who value your time.

I saw this website on a Business meeting I really liked the thing that also Teenagers can make their first money.

These people have refuses to pay me for two times. Seriously after playing one hour? Second time, I have played for 3 days.. then refused to play due to the change of location. They never reply if such a customer inquiry is raised. Have stopped playing

I’ve been signed up for 8 months. I’ve never gotten a paying job. I’ve filled out countless “prescreen surveys”. Not eligible, or full. I emailed them, asked why I get no jobs. They said, I’m free to stop whenever I want. Oh wow, thanks for the permission to quit? Or do you think I’m too stupid to realize I can quit? Either way that comment was rude.
