I’ve been using Gametester for a while, but for the past few months, the site has been completely dead. There are zero tests available - not even the simple surveys for XP.

When I contacted support, they gave me a generic response claiming that tests are running daily and I simply wasn't selected. However, several friends of mine have accounts there too, and they haven't received anything in months either. It feels like the platform is abandoned or declining.

Giving 1 star for now. I’ll update my rating if things actually improve, but based on recent observations, I’m not holding my breath.

I love it (so far on my 1st day)! I am more than halfway to getting my 1st buck in JUST 2hrs!

Have been using the website and testing games since 2019 and it is absolutely awesome! Though it is slow at the start as you have to build up experience and credit, but once you have done a few game tests successfully, you get more invites.

I have been fortunate enough to have taken part of a lot of games that I have seen released on steam and other platforms, and is super grateful and exited to see the game in all its glory knowing that I was part of the game in some way.

Game tester is a legit website in which you are invited to a variety of tests including some of which are NDA's. However, it's not as simple as getting quick bucks. The better your feedback, the better your feedback rating, and then the more tests you become invited to!

Great platform, great company and great tests.
A little bit difficult to get invited to tests so it builds the paradox of “how can I get experience if I don’t get invited to tests?”

Aside from that I truly enjoy the given tasks so far.

I do enjoy the platform, but holy hell it is taking longer and longer to get paid each time. I am getting sick of it. I've done over a hundred fifty tests, I am in the top 10th of 1% of testers. Why do I still have to wait a month to get paid? It should be instant. Infuriating as hell.

Pay is extremely low (and always late). Basically no quality standards, so if you're a dev, run.

This is a legit company, which basically pays you for testing videogames. You have to give feedback and write a review after you've played. The only problem is that they invite you once half a year, so its not a big money, and your feedback is often rated below what you think you'd get.

I signed up for Game Tester a few years ago. Last year, without warning, Game Tester sent me an email about their new sister platform launching called Aurora. Game Tester automatically made me an account with Aurora and they promptly began giving me tasks and emails on this new platform, which feels illegal. Aurora is a site for tests not related to games, and is heavily associated with AI. This feels beyond immoral and outright insane to me.

I signed up for game tester to test games, as of today I have deleted my account for Game Tester because I don't want to have a registration with a website giving tests not even in the same universe as my interests and I violently hate AI.

Again, there was no warning, there was no "opt out" for making the account, you simply were forced to have an account with them. You can disable tasks on the Aurora website but you unfortunately can't delete your account, meaning you'll forever be stained with supporting "AI" if you just want to test games.
