What have they done to PG Tips tea bags.
The tea bags are thinner and weaker, not so much leaves but tea dust, they use to be my favourite cuppa, now I’ve lost the desire to drink this tea, it’s so weak like drinking a cup of hot water.

Please PG give us back the great tasting tea bag we had before.

Instead of paying more for an improvement, we are paying more for less in the box with a massive loss of the original great flavour.

After drinking only PG Tips pyramid for many years. Thought I’d picked up the wrong box, only to learn they’ve stopped doing the pyramid bags.
The new bags are tasteless. Going to try another brand. Another customer lost.
Why they chose to change the bags & quality, is beyond comprehension when they sold so many.

I only ever drank PG Tips for many years, it was in my opinion the best tea bag going. This new blend is dreadful, I think they're using the floor sweepings rather than tea.
The only flavour I can detect is a slight taste of cheap perfume, it doesn't even brew to a decent colour.
Yet another loyal family who has switched from your brand.
I can never understand why companies change their products, it usually means it's become inferior, that is certainly the case with PG Tips.

The new square teabags are awful, as is the change to the actual tea… need to find a new tea after being a loyal PGTips family for years!

last year I was paying under £4 for 240 pgtips n the company put the price up to about £5.25 then they dropped the quantity down to 210 tbags bt still charged the higher price n now they are putting 240 bags back into the box as it was in the first place bt claiming 30 bags free unbelievable do they really think they're customers are dumb enough not to work it out
I for one will not buy pgtips no more even though its my favourite tea on principal

Bye bye Pyramid bags - we miss you so much. We are not going to put up with wishy washy tea with no flavour, so have already changed brands to Yorkshire, and have got used to a different taste. A lovely strong cuppa though.

The new bag and blend is not as good as the old pyramid one. Ive started to buy other brands and suggest Unilever makes both types available.

The new tea bags are absolutely awful. Weak and a strange taste. Have used PG all my life but will be trying other brands from now on.

I stock up on my PG Tips Tea when it's on sale so I'm only just now using the "new version." I am beyond disappointed. My daily tea ritual is not just soothing, but it helps wake me up each morning. With the new tea, I immediately noticed it was "weaker" in flavor. In an attempt to get the same strength in the brew, I've now started adding an extra tea bag to the teapot. It's still dissatisfying. In the spirit of thrift, I will finish the four boxes which I purchased, but then I'm switching to Yorkshire Gold. If the company is listening, please restore the original tea!

Drank pg pyramid for years this new brew is tasteless I've changed to twynings breakfast

Have just started using these flat square ones as luckily had several boxes of pyramids in reserve. Like most people on here I too find them bland and wishy washy! Been drinking pyramids for so long and loved them, never bought anything else. Why oh why did they have to change such a good product. Apparently it cost millions in research too. I only drink tea so now on hunt for a decent cuppa. So disappointed.

We are shocked to learn you'd stopped making Pyramid tea bags. The small square ones taste nasty and are definitely not worth the money because 209 bags are going to the charity shop for the staff to use if they want them. If they don't they can bin them.

Why take something away that clearly many, many thousands of people in the UK alone love? Why? There is no way on this earth that we will be buying anything from PG Tips ever again. Pyramids or no pyramids, it's a simple choice for anyone who has active taste buds and who loves a cup of tea.

I agree with all the other negative reviews, as well as a bad taste the smell makes me feel sick. Never buying your teabags again unless you go back to pyramids.

Another lost customer I’m afraid; I’ve drunk PG tips tea for years and wouldn’t consider any other brand, but the new flat bags, and different blend, taste really insipid and weak. Bring back pyramid bags and the lovely, strong flavour! I’m reluctantly trying other brands now.

What can I say that others have not said?Well being a generation brought up on pg tips this new owner have ruined the British cuppa,the taste is vile,the bags are useless, yet you pay more and get less,the company moto is you will grow to love it?no we will not,we know what we like bring back the original flavour, I even took the time to complain and got blocked 🤣i wasn't even nasty I said basically what I said here how can a ex ceo of shampoo know anything about British tea?how can a European company understand the UK market and the tea drinkers?they don't,loss of sales is never good for any company but will that push them into changing the blend back?no it won't sadly, pg tips has been a generation tea for many years,as someone with autism you have now ruined my tea,I will not buy pg tips ever again it may not seem a huge loss but I buy alot of tea even my adult children use to buy this brand..give the UK residents what they want BRING BACK THE OLD BLEND

Completely agree with the recent reviews about the tragic decline in PG Tips teabags. I too have been a regular PG drinker for years and can’t believe that someone has decided to ‘improve’ the product by making it just the same as any other bland teabag. The reason we’ve all been loyal to PG for years is the strong, bright flavour with a unique ‘tang’ from the old pyramid bags - now entirely gone. Another loyal customer lost. PG - PLEASE rethink! Look at the number of us moved to write here…you’re losing us in droves!

Can only agree with others on here regarding the taste of the new PGtips tea bags. Absolutely awful! Been a PGtips tea drinker for over 20 years. What do I do now? Why oh why can't things be left alone?!

Holy, crap! What the heck happened to the best tea ever? We’ve been drinking PGTips for decades. This last time we ordered a bag of over 1,000 bags and it totally sucks. The bags are completely different as is the taste. We needed 2 bags for a litre of tea. Even with 4 bags it is still tasteless. We will never buy PG, again.

I have been using Pg tips Pyramid for years,such a great cuppa, now you have charged to square teabags the taste is not the same, they tear so easily,please being back pyramid teabags as they are the best, I'm not a happy customer.

I've been drinking PG TIps for at least fifty years, even after moving back to the US where I now pay quite a lot for it. When the doctor told me fifteen years ago that I had to stop drinking tea, I laughed and found I was allowed decaf. The only one that was good was "The Tasty Decaf", PG Tips. Now I am the disgusted owner of 140 of the new formula tea bags for which I paid quite a lot and which are going into the bin. Dreadful! If I wanted straight up orange pekoe tea (Chinese), I'd drink American tea, but I don't because I detest it. The new bags have barely a pinch of tea in it, which is decidedly orange in the cup. Barely tastes like anything and that's terrible. Clearly I am not the only person who is not happy, so I hope the company listens and brings back the old formulas, especially The Tasty Decaf by making it tasty again. And lastly, these new bags are awful. Too big with barely any tea in them. Bring back the perfect little pyramids. There was nothing wrong with PG Tips, except the terrible idea someone had to sell it to Lipton!
