First off, the UI is very intuitive - not difficult to navigate, so even for first time users like me, I can find the options I need.

Second, I'm very pleased with how many different kinds of services there are and how they are organized into clusters. You just have to do your due diligence to choose the person offering the service you need - for me, it was a service so worth it and I'm very pleased with.

Third, I had a problem with my review and I asked for it to be edited so I reached out to their CSR and they replied within the hour and my problem was resolved shortly after - even tho it was a Sunday! I'm very happy with that!

Fourth - secured payment! So appreciate that, so even if there are sketchy people offering their services on the website, the app has a degree of control.

If I were to suggest some changes, it would be these:
1) An option to edit reviews. This can be limited to an x amount of time after posting so that simple things like typos or whatnot can easily be edited by the poster instead of having to reach out to CSR.
2) A still available chat history even after a different job has been accepted. Before choosing the Pet Sitter I chose, I communicated with a lot of Sitters. I was disappointed when after accepting the services of the Sitter of my choice, I was no longer allowed to chat with the other potential Sitters so I may offer my thanks in entertaining my inquiry and other questions - I didnt want to just ghosted them after they had been so gracious with me. But yeah, unfortunately, I wasn't able to chat them further in the app. Maintaining the chat history is also helpful, I believe, should the initially hired job falls through, at least the consumer can go back and review previous conversations to gauge which is the next best thing. It will also be helpful in looking for future services.

So those two factors are the major reason why 1 docked 1 star. Still a great app tho!

It has connected me with some of the most respectful and serious clients, and through their lovely pets I’ve had such meaningful and positive experiences.

As a pet sitter in Dubai, this platform has truly improved my quality of life… not only in terms of income, but also mentally. Being around animals is something I’m passionate about, and it feels like both work and therapy at the same time.🙏

I also appreciate how secure and structured everything feels. It gives peace of mind to both sides, which makes a big difference.

Compared to other apps I’ve tried, this one stands out by far. I highly recommend it.👌✨

Very good platform for pet present and service provider easy app access and find or select comfortable service.

Over all good but there was an issue with the chat as I received the notification but could not see the same in chats same happed with the backer who tried to chat with me. Couple of messages lost in the thread

Great customer support. I love working with companies that not only have an easy platform to use but also have a great staff. They resolved my payment issue and were really really compassionate about it. A+++

I have been using PetBacker for 8 months now, since we moved to Vienna, and have really nothing but good things to say about it. Easy to use platform with reliable payment options and great quality pet sitters. I feel reassured using the service. Today I was able to evaluate the customer service. I realized I had put the wrong start date for my next petsitter, I contacted my petsitter and then wrote to Petbacker who corrected it immediately.

Not a very good pet app. I've been on there for a year and a half as a pet sitter have not gotten a single job. They charge an extraordinary amount for commission and it ends up where it's too expensive for the customers.

On the map I'm clearly designated in my area and yet people contact me from areas that are far away.

Their customer service is hopeless. Since a lot of them are either from Singapore or from Malaysia they have a different way of operating. And it's very different from the US. And there's absolutely no clarity.

When I communicate with the customer, the company sends me some kind of a stupid message on email saying not to communicate with the customer or I will get restricted, but the whole point is is when the customer reaches out to me, I need to communicate with them to see if we're a match in regards to me as a pet sitter for them and vice versa. It's just ridiculous it's just badly managed. Rover is so so so so much better. And I get continuous work and make money with them and their commissions are not that high. I finally deleted the app with Petbacker because they're useless, just draining people.

I also do believe that some of the five stars that they have is from friends family and customer service reps in Malaysia to beef up there star ratings. If you look at the names they're all Indonesian names. Or most of them. Therefore, I don't feel all the five-star ratings are reputable. Because I feel that most likely some of them are not real reviews.

Petbacker in Malta for me is a disaster i have complained about a lady who works with this company as a dog trainer because she was really hopeless she is not professional at all my dog could do whatever he wants with her because she could not control him so i was really disappointed i did complain with the company but they only refunded half the amount i paid i am still sending them messages but without any reply !!!!!!
