The entire experience with Peru Hop was excellent. I purchased the most comprehensive package with 10 stops, and throughout every leg of the journey we were very well taken care of. The guides were consistently great, attentive, and always ready to answer any questions with detailed information.

The buses were clean and comfortable, and the drivers were professional. I absolutely loved everything about the experience!

We had a group of 16 and we booked the day prior. We were a little concerned with the long ride, but it was well worth and the ride did not seem tiring as we were able to sleep on the way. Our guide/host kept the entire group well informed and made it very memorable. Only regret not doing the sand boarding. 5* and definitely recommend

What a fabulous trip. I booked this trip last minute since my flight got moved 24 hours earlier so I needed another excursion. Taking me from Lima to Paracas was amazing. It was a day trip but a well worth it. Yes you wake up and leave before the sun rises but you’re traveling to another part of Peru that unless you have transportation, you ain’t get there. A must do. So far it has been my highlight.

issue I would like to highlight is that when we arrived at the dune, the temperature was around 30°C. Both we and several older tourists decided not to climb due to the health risks of walking uphill on sand in such heat. This was not explained to us in advance—we were under the impression that transportation to the top would be provided. Furthermore, younger participants who did go up and rode the vehicles reported that the drivers behaved in a very irresponsible and unsafe manner, which left them quite frightened. This is something that should be clearly communicated to tourists beforehand.

As a result, we had to wait for four hours at the bottom in 30°C heat, with no air-conditioned restaurants or cafes available. For us, the trip turned out to be completely unproductive, very uncomfortable, and extremely exhausting. The air conditioning on the bus was not working and was only turned on toward the end of the journey. Many passengers complained about this.

Bij vragen zijn ze goed te bereiken en er wordt zoveel mogelijk met je gedeeld qua info. De dag van tevoren een groepschat, live locatie, tips voor activiteiten en eten, etc.
Vooral Brenda en Roberto waren bij ons de meest betrokken tourguides. Probeerden een connectie te maken en met enthousiasme deden ze hun werk.

Too large of a group and some of the members were late causing us to start the dune buggies late so we missed the beginning of the sunset. I would not have done this tour if I realized it would be 40 plus people.

Peruhop ist kein Busunternehmen, sondern ein Anbieter von Pauschalreisen. Das muss man wissen. Wenn das für einen passt, kann man bedenkenlos buchen, ansonsten droht Frust.

Im Detail:

Positiv: man wird direkt an einer Unterkunft eingesammelt. Dadurch muss man nicht zu den hektischen Busterminals. Das ist super, auch wenn man sich dort unsicher fühlen sollte.
Der Nachteil ist: Es werden nur einige Unterkünfte angefahren. Wir mussten also oft zum Treffpunkt laufen. Das war jetzt nie so richtig weit, aber man sollte bereit sein morgens um 5 alleine an einer Straßenecke zu warten.

Durch das Abholen dauert die Fahrt natürlich länger. Zusätzlich werden selten direkte Routen gefahren. Manche Stops sind ganz nett. Aber wenn ich von Arequipa nach Puno will, dann möchte ich nicht die letzten 3 Stunden in einem Minibus fahren, weil der Bus in eine andere Richtung weiterfährt. Das ist nicht was versprochen wurde.

Auch wenn die Fahrer ihre Pausen wohl einhalten, wenn der Nachtbus direkt umdreht und zurückfährt, ist das eine Zumutung, nicht nur für das Personal. Als Fahrgast kommt man in einem miefigen Bus mit fettigen Kopfpolstern, in die gerade eine ganze Nacht reingeschwitzt wurde. Bäh.
Die Busse selbst sind aber meist in Ordnung, auch wenn auf einer Fahrt die Klimaanlage kaputt war. Es gibt aber deutlich modernere und bequemere Busse in Peru.

Der Fahrplan wurde spontan geändert, so dass unsere Drittanbietertour verfallen ist. Begründet wurde das mit der Erwartung von mehr Verkehr. Die Peruhop-eigene Tour wurde dann vorverlegt.
Lässt man sich drauf ein und macht das Standardangebot, wird man sich gut um dich kümmern. Will man selbst entscheiden was man erlebt, Pech gehabt.

Der PeruHop-Bus auf einer Teilstrecke war voll. Hier hat man sich sehr bemüht und auf eine andere Busfirma umzubuchen und zum Terminal gebracht. Das war Klasse und rechne ich der Firma hoch an.

Generell war das Office eine große Hilfe, so wurden uns Partnerhostels genannt in denen man sich aufhalten konnte um auf den Bus zu warten.

Die Abfahrtszeiten sind oft ungeeignet und ergeben sich aus kombinierten Routen oder anderen Anforderungen der Firma, sind aber für die Strecke nicht optimal. Es gibt eben kein echtes Liniennetz und Fahrplan, sondern nur Guides, die mit wechselnden Bussen durchs Land fahren. Das führt dann dazu, dass man nach seiner Nachtbus Fahrt um 6 Uhr morgens ausgespuckt und dann mit seinem Gepäck im Dunkeln steht.
Bei der Abfahrt habe ich den Guide gefragt ob er unser Shuttle zum PeruHop-Hostel umändern kann, statt zu unserem Hotel. Er meinte er sagt dem Büro bescheid. Bei der Ankunft am nächsten Morgen hieß es, das wäre nicht möglich. Unser Shuttle-Fahrer hat sich geweigert die 8 Minuten zu fahren und uns an der Kreuzung stehen gelassen. Das hätte die Firma wirklich kein Geld gekostet uns beim Partnerhostel abzusetzen. So waren wir 35 Minuten zu Fuß und mit Gepäck Bergauf unterwegs.

Das ist jetzt nicht die alleinige Schuld der Firma, wir hätten schon am Tag vor der Busfahrt auf die Idee kommen können und nicht erst bei der Abfahrt, oder selbst ein Uber bezahlen. Aber wenn jemand seine Abfahrtszeiten ein paar Stunden im Voraus ändert, erwarte ich auch, dass man dann etwas flexibler ist, Lösungen zu finden.

Wer sich keine Gedanken machen will und einen englischsprachigen Ansprechpartner will, kann buchen, vorausgesetzt er will auch alles andere mit PeruHop machen (was nicht schlimm ist, da die Touren gut sind und nicht teurer als andere Anbieter, außerdem hat man seine Gruppe dabei.

Wer kann bucht sich seine Routen mit einem anderen Anbieter mit richtigen Liegesitzen und schläft in bequemeren und moderneren Bussen mit flexibleren und verlässlichen Abfahrtszeiten und ohne die Frustration Nachts durch eine fremde Stadt zu laufen oder seine Touren verfallen zu lassen.

I took my mom to Peru to celebrate her 60th birthday, and using Peru Hop was easily the safest and most convenient way to explore beyond Lima while seeing so many of the country’s major highlights. Our route took us from Lima to Paracas, then on to Huacachina, Arequipa, and finally Cusco.

The journey itself flew by thanks to the comfortable seating, relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of well-timed rest stops—plus some fun, unexpected experiences along the way. We especially appreciated the seamless, “white glove” service, from hotel pickups to the clear and consistent communication we received from Peru Hop and our tour guide before the trip even began.

Our guide, Julio Cesar, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly patient, attentive, and communicative with every passenger, making sure everyone felt cared for and included. His knowledge and upbeat energy brought each stop to life, and he made every moment—whether on the bus or during evening activities—more engaging and enjoyable. Thank you to Julio and the tour group family for making the experience that much more special!

Had an amazing 3 day? 2 night trip to Huachachina and Paracas.

The bus was comfy and on time and being a solo traveller it was particularly good that they picked me up and dropped me off at my accommodation in Lima.

Our guide Bo was kind, funny and very informative. He gave us lots of information about Peru and its history. He was also happy to take photos.

A truly memorable trip and I would recommend Peru Hop to anyone. Excellent value.

It was really great! The guides are super nice and really imformative.

The organization was really well done, and our tour guide, Boris, was excellent in telling us about Peru and providing updates on the next part of the adventure. The only downside was the lack of working air conditioning on the bus. All three bus rides we took were really hot and uncomfortable, which made us dehydrated, fatigued, and soaked in sweat when we arrived at our destinations. I could see the other bus riders reaching to ceiling vents and fanning each other to cool down, so it seems everyone was too hot.

Ich habe die Strecke Lima nach Cusco genommen mit allen Zwischenstopps. Das Angebot ist gut mit den Ausflügen abgestimmt. Die Guides auf den Bussen (z.B. Sergio, Josie, Juan Carlos, Roberto) haben viele Tipps gegeben und sich unheimlich bemüht, alle Fragen zu beantworten und uns Land und Leute näher zu bringen. Auch der Abhol- und Drop-Off Service war super.

Tomamos el tour de La Paz a Copacabana y fue increíble, pasaron súper puntuales por nosotros a nuestro hotel, nuestro guía Andrés en todo momento estuvo atento de todos los pasajeros, nos explicó detalladamente todo en dos idiomas.
El tour a Copacabana y la isla del sol estuvo hermoso. Definitivamente recomiendo tomarlo con Perú/Bolivia Hop.

I loved PeruHop. As a solo traveller, having someone there who you can contact if you need help with anything is really reassuring, and their buses were always on time and organised. I had a pre-booked seat for each leg, and Miguel always made sure to remind everyone of what number they had booked so we sat in the right places. I had Miguel for every journey except one, and I only have really high praise and so much respect for him. He's such a lovely, friendly person, is always willing to go above and beyond to help you with anything & he really had a positive impact on my trip. I had Roberto and Brenda for one leg of the journey, and they let the people with reservations on first which I think was a good way to do it.
The overnight buses were also really comfortable and the blankets are a really nice touch. I'd use PeruHop again in a heartbeat

Peru Hop is superb value for money. Flexible travel to many of the main spots a traveller to Peru would want to visit. Their recommendations all worked out brilliantly for a family of 7 aged between 18- 54. We experienced the culture and a beauty of Peru and several exciting activities including sand boarding, white water rafting, and quad biking and our guide, Lizbeth was amazing 🤩
Regrettably, we’re heading home soon but our son is staying on and travelling to Cusco and La Paz with Peru Hop.
