£115 Wasted – A Complete Disappointment
⭐ 1 Star — £115 for 15 Minutes of Disappointment
We paid £115 for two adults and one child to visit the Paradox Museum in London. Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing and overpriced attractions we have ever visited.
We took our 9-year-old son because we thought it would be a fun and unusual experience for the family. Instead, we went through the entire museum in around 15 minutes. For £115, I simply cannot see any reasonable value for money.
The exhibits were extremely underwhelming, and I left feeling that the whole experience was far more about clever marketing than providing a genuinely enjoyable attraction.
We also paid an additional £4 per person for the so-called “Zero Gravity Room.” This was particularly disappointing. It is essentially a small rotating room where you stand inside while the room moves around you, creating an illusion. The experience lasts only a couple of minutes and, in my opinion, was nowhere near worth the additional cost.
We were also charged £2.50 for the cloakroom, on top of the already very expensive admission price.
London has so many excellent museums and attractions — including many that are free — that offer far more for families. Spending £115 here was something I genuinely regret.
I felt completely ripped off and left extremely frustrated. We did not have fun, we did not feel that we received value for our money, and I would not recommend this attraction to anyone.
If you are considering visiting, please think carefully before spending your money here. There are countless better ways to spend £115 in London.
⭐ One star. Extremely overpriced, underwhelming and, for us, a complete waste of time and money.
Not very impressed with the Paradox…
Not very impressed with the Paradox Museum. The place wasn’t very clean, and there were far too many queues for each small attraction. The so‑called gravity room was especially underwhelming — you can get the same effect simply by turning your phone upside down. The same basic principles were repeated across other rooms, so nothing felt truly unique or surprising.
The whole museum is very small for the price they charge. Without queues, you could easily finish the visit in about 20 minutes. I left disappointed, especially after seeing their excellent marketing videos, which make everything look far better than it actually is. In reality, it’s worth maybe one‑third of what I paid.
We've all wasted money before but…
We've all wasted money before but considering the total price after the hidden supplements charged on arrival you'll feel quite foolish for trusting the social media advertising! The annoying nagging voice you've been ripped off will echo in your soul as you walk around this underwhelming, small makeshift playground! Considering the Science Museum is just down the road for free, please save your money!
Almost as bad as the Glasgow wonker experience
Absolutely rubbish. You could walk around this within a few minutes.
Very underwhelming, wouldn’t recommend at all especially considering how expensive the tickets were.
They even used lazy AI posters throughout the ‘experience’!
They’ll also try to charge you for add ons which should have been included.
Not worth the price Average price of…
Not worth the price Average price of £28 per person and had to pay £4 more for the Gravity section
Bought photos , digital photos blurry
I would like to know if any customers actually go back a second time
Very disappointed
Underwhelming
We paid £65 for two tickets. We walked around the whole place in ten minutes. The exhibits were not as advertised on social media and we were at least expecting a few wows! It was very underwhelming. And we left very disappointed. We did not pay for the zero gravity experience luckily as actually it's a spinning hamster wheel at least 1mph "fast" the whole place is very over priced and I wouldn't recommend to anyone and will not be returning.
Hugely overpriced for what it is
Hugely overpriced for what it is. It takes less than an hour to go round. Yes its 'fun' but quite a few exhibits were under construction. I wouldn't visit again or recommend.
A rip -off
A rip -off. As soon as I walked in I realised this was a waste of money. You can walk through in ten minutes. It was as if it had been put together with odds and ends from a jumble sale. People walked around confused and trying to explain to their children what was supposed to happen. There was a lot of "is that it?" I walked through several times just to get my moneys worth but it isn't worth a fiver.
Done in 20 minutes
Done in 20 minutes. Very dated. Not worth the money. Would not recommend.
Don't waste your money
It was not worth the money I went as a single person £50 quid for all attractions . they don't tell you that you really need 2 people otherwise there is no one to take all the pics for you with your phone as this is what then gives you the illusions
so most of it did not work
the zero gravity room I had no Idear that it's just a slowly rotation padded room that you move around in and it's only the camera that creates the actual illusion 🤣 I would not recommend this as a single entry not value for money 💰
Overpriced and underwhelming, a waste of money
Paid over £50 for 2 tickets, what a total waste of money that was. The place is small, busy and you are constantly waiting to get close to exhibits in order to take a photo.
It took us 20 mins max to see it all, you also have to pay extra if you want to go into the Zero Gravity Room.
Dont waste your money, not recommended. Over priced and underwhelming
Weak attraction
Weak attraction. Gimmicky. Poor value for money. Hidden additional costs not clearly delineated and not worthwhile. Staff polite and welcoming.
Disgraceful service
I wish I had read these reviews before booking. I have just tried to amend our time of visit to come 1 hour earlier due to travel changes, outwith our control. I didn't want to cancel, just come an hour earlier. Nope. No flexibility. Disgraceful. By the sounds of it I'm not missing much anyway but £50 odd wasted. For a tourist attraction in London, very poor show.
This place could be really cool
This place could be really cool, but unfortunately it’s overpriced and way too small for the amount of people they let in. Lots of queuing to take pictures of said illusions, which are ok, but look so much better in the advertisements than they are.
We paid £95 for 3 of us and were in there less than an hour. They also charge extra for the zero gravity room, which should be included in the price.
It’s just a real shame that these types of places are so greedy and need to get as many people through the door as possible! It’s all about profit rather than providing a great experience.
Really really poor experience
Really really poor experience, it was so overpriced it's absolutely tiny I was through it in 15 minutes. The staff did their best but it was absolutely rammed and there is nothing there worth seeing it's really hard to take any pictures because there is so many people. It's not worth the money at all. At the very least they need to halve the amount of people in at any one time
Thieves stole my money!
Thieves stole my money!! a glitch in the booking system reset the proposed date and incorrectly booked the wrong dates. After calling customer services to explain, all they could suggest was buying the tickets again as they could not amend or cancel the tickets as per their policy!! In this day and age, to not be able to amend the dates especially with their system error is disgusting a just pure robbery of £51. DO NOT GO NEAR this company.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Honestly, I was really disappointed with our visit to the Paradox Museum in London. The whole place is tiny and absolutely not worth the money they charge. For the price of the tickets, we expected a much bigger experience, but you can walk through the entire museum in no time.
It feels like the whole attraction is designed purely for taking photos rather than actually enjoying interactive illusions in real life. Most of the “illusions” don’t even look like illusions unless you’re viewing them through your phone camera, which makes it feel less impressive and more like a staged photo opportunity.
We also made the mistake of paying extra for the so-called “zero gravity room,” which was a complete rip off. It barely moved (about 1mph) and again, it was just another chance to pose for pictures rather than something exciting or immersive. Definitely do not waste extra money on that add-on.
We booked this visit for my boyfriend’s birthday, expecting something special, especially after seeing how amazing it looked online and all over TikTok. Unfortunately, social media makes it look far better than it actually is in person. The reality is underwhelming and nowhere near worth the cost.
Overall, this place is massively overpriced for what you get. Save your money and spend it on something genuinely memorable in London.
Do not waste your money!
