I’ve had good experiences staying at Outsite historically but recently have found locations to be deathly quiet, no other members around and so no benefit to actually staying at an Outsite. That’s a shame but meh - my recent experience, however is simply not ok.

I’m a lifetime member travelling with another lifetime member. Because of a medical emergency the trip can no longer go ahead. I’m exploring my options whilst trying to see if it’s possible to get my booking moved/future credit. I guess the agent got sick of my questions because she went ahead and cancelled my reservation without my confirmation or consent!

Beware the lack of customer care. I know I wont be using them going forwards with the same frequency and confidence.

I've used Outsite a couple of times, and is a decent option for solo travel, however i was frustrated with them last time I used them

I booked room for a week with a 10% discount code, which changed the usual cancellation policy (got rid of the option to cancel basically)

I couldnt make the trip and explained what happened to them but they refused to move the booking or let me cancel.

I was a lifetime member and this just feels a bit of a short sighted decision to me

Happy to have found outsite. Really competitive price for digital nomads alike with plenty of common space to use and share with. Have stayed in a few other coworking/ coliving places around the world and can say this is one of the best. They are flexible and I was able to meet people there during my short 10-day stay, which is why I'd prefer over a typical hotel or private apartment when travelling solo.

What follows is my only experience with outsite.

So I booked an expensive place in one of their locations. Booked expensive plane tickets.

Week before the check-in date, I get notified that there is an issue with the hot water, and that it will not be resolved by the time I arrive. They offer full cancellation.

I tell them, if it's only a few days into my stay, it won't be a problem.

4 days later, same message. Issue with hot water, will take a few weeks to resolve. So well into my stay.

I make use of the cancellation. Luckily they offer a full refund, so no cancellation fees.

The customer service was adequate. The reason I am giving a single star, is because I still have paid for the expensive tickets, I had to book another accomodation, 4 days before check-in, increasing the price enormously.

In short, Outsite cost me 500 euros, and I didn't even get to go. I also do not comprehend how they can rent out a room that's still not finished.
