Great sunglasses ruined by a simple error.
I have some Out Of Piuma cycling glasses, and whilst there is a lot that I like, they’re not without their faults, one of which makes them quite unwearable.
I love the style, the lightweight design and the quality of the lens. The overall package feels very premium, and the style is up there with the likes of Oakley, 100%, Julbo and Scicon.
However, I think that the polarising is sometimes too strong. When cycling in sunny conditions on dry road with damp patches, I find the polarising makes the puddles jump out at me, similarly with metal grids in the road. It can have the effect of making my eyes feel like I’m wearing spectacles with the wrong strength lens in, and can induce fatigue on the road. Also, in some light the polarising makes my computer screen very difficult to read.
But the thing I most hate, and which is the reason I don’t wear them any more, is that the frames have a big fault. There are no rubber socks on the arms. This means that the glasses are constantly moving down my nose and I have to push them back up every few minutes, very annoying on an 80 mile ride. Also, the lack of any rubber on the arms also means that the hard plastic arms, when worn with a helmet, can hurt my ears after a while and become very uncomfortable.
Such a shame that a very good looking and premium feeling pair of glasses can be let down by such a simple but obvious flaw which would cost pennies to rectify.
Back to wearing my Oakleys I’m afraid.

Regarding polarization, we understand that in certain specific situations the contrast created by polarized lenses can feel quite pronounced for some riders. Your feedback is very helpful and we'll make sure to pass it along to our product team.
About the temples: thanks for pointing this out. While the Piuma comes with minimal temples to keep the frame extremely lightweight, we also offer alternative options you might find more comfortable.
Such as our Adapta temples, that feature a silicone end tip and are fully adjustable, which can significantly improve stability and comfort.

I prodotti sono superlativi, qualitativamente ottimi e stilisticamente molto belli. Ma quello che mi ha colpito di più è stato l’altissimo livello del servizio clienti, cosa sempre più rara da trovare in un’azienda, al giorno d’oggi.
Ho avuto un problema con una maschera da sci, acquistata qualche giorno prima, da un rivenditore terzo, ma ho preferito scrivere direttamente a loro su whatsapp (di domenica). Dopo un primo messaggio automatico che mi diceva che il servizio clienti era attivo (giustamente) dal lun al ven, la mattina seguente mi hanno scritto loro, per chiedermi di cosa avevo bisogno (e già questo mi ha stupito), dopo aver verificato il problema mi hanno immediatamente proposto l’invio di una lente di ricambio, senza pretendere che passassi dal rivenditore e senza neanche chiedermi di esibire la prova d’acquisto (che naturalmente avevo).
Appena ci siamo accordati hanno provveduto a spedire il giorno stesso e ho ricevuto il pacco il giorno dopo.
Il tutto sempre con toni cortesi e disponibili.
Queste sono le aziende che sanno meritarsi la fiducia dei clienti e il successo commerciale.
