Misrepresentation, Misleading and Inconsistent information provided by Optimas sales representative. Please refer back to the phone call that was made on the 8th January 2025 - 37.52 minutes into the phone call.

What Optima do and what Optima advise people and what most people who have signed up with Optima do is after 8 months from the start of the course you will be earning a £70k salary which you can pay off early reducing the amount of interest that needs to be back back.

This is Misrepresentation, Misleading and Inconsistent because I have personally spoken to a handful of people who have signed up with Optima and this was never mentioned to them (Inconsistent, Misrepresentation, Misleading) and the student who have qualified have told me from personal experience that that is absolutely not the case at all.

Another cost that was not disclosed when I was the monthly Skillbuilder subscription which is a requirement to be able to pass the exams and become qualified. Again, I can go back to recording where the tutor very clearly states that skillbuilder is a requirement and that it is not an option.

Optima ask you what you want and then tell you what you want to hear to make a sale. Anything to make a sale.

The classes are rushed the tutors are rude to students asking questions because they tired at the end of the day doing the last classes. Very unpleasant environment.

I do not recommend.

I have been in contact multiple times and I have been declined evertime I request the termination even with the physical proof and hard evidence.

Ruby @ Student support was professional friendly and engaging to take me through what was required.

I’m writing this review specifically for anyone who is deciding on whether to go with this company or not. I thankfully did not fall into their trap as I took my time to investigate them before signing up to any of their courses.

Whilst this company probably isn’t a scam in all entirety, they provide misleading information and they lie so they are scamming people to some extent. The positive reviews are a mixture of fake/prompted reviews and reviews done early on when everything still seems amazing. Please try to not be encouraged by them.

I’ve done a lot of research into this company, read lots of reviews and blogs. I even used AI to assist me. The conclusion is that it’s not even remotely worth the money, so please try to look for other courses that won’t charge as much and will offer something similar. For the cyber security course, you only have to spend a minute searching online to know that it’s not that simple to get a job in that industry regardless of the level. A low level IT job is probably more likely with little experience.

The people that promote the courses are sales people… Sales people are charismatic and know how to sell a dream. At the end of the day, it’s someone’s business and they’re just trying to make money. They don’t care about your future. If there are churches out there that have been set up just to get money, how much more so a company like this?
They say you are saving money by joining a webinar and signing up to a course soon after however the “original” price of the course is fake. They contact you on WhatsApp and leave voice notes which is so unprofessional. Miles James will call you and tell you he is head of cyber security and a contractor getting £400 a day, but his email signature and LinkedIn will tell you that he’s just a basic course specialist. He’s a regular guy doing a sales job and lying to us to give us false inspiration and get our hopes up. The guy who delivered the webinar is also a sales guy, lying to us about his job and what he does. They come across as endearing but they’re all fake. Please take your time to research some other courses out there and just avoid this at all costs because you will enter hell if you sign up with them.

I am going through a difficult phase in my life currently—financial and personal. But the folks at Optima Training were considerate towards my circumstances and took steps to ensure my obligations to them did not add to my burdens after expressing my concerns to them.

The training was interesting and engaging, especially the brainstorming aspect of it. I thank God that Kim Brook gave me the voucher.

You could tell that both Kim Brook and Andrew Jeffery had put a lot of work and thought in organising everything. We've learned so much and bounced of ideas and questions that I was wondering about, we're all answered, by Kim and Andrew😊 I really REALLY had a good time with everyone.

Made a great day of utilising a real world scenario for Solutions Architect based solutions. Met a great bunch of like minded individuals and collectively explored services and solutions. A great community feel is what Optima provides.

the help and support you receive is fantastic. the courses are interesting and the tutors are both very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with extra help given as needed or requested. Kim Brooke in particular has been a fantastic help having had some seperate conversations and an extra 1 to 2 session which sorted out the financial setup along with other helpful advice and resources.

From starting with Optima on my new life chapter the student-support and instructors/teachers have been exceptional.

Kim Brook and Maxine Lambe go out of their way to make sure you are supported in everything you do. If you are having any problems or concerns about the workload, they are on hand to talk too and Kim runs classes to help setup your accounts, prepare you for exams and 1-2-1's to see if you require any guidance.

I would strongly recommend signing up with Optima if you are considering upskilling or a whole new career, I have to be honest when I say "at first I wasn't sure if they were just another rip-off company trying to scam you"......But thankfully it was made quite clear from the start they mean what they say, I am enjoying my learning experience to the max. And hope to be doing my exams soon.

Kim is incredibly resourceful, an excellent communicator, mentor and a skilled moderator. She’s also an exceptional mentor who provides thoughtful guidance and support to every student. She’s always responsive — whether it’s a request, a question, or a need for clarification. Her one-on-one sessions are invaluable, helping us navigate everything from the simplest to the most complex challenges. What truly stands out is the enthusiasm and undivided attention she brings to every aspect of the training. My experience with her so far has been outstanding. Thank you for making this possible.

Kim Brook is a great example of an instructor, whose approach at Optima sets a great standard in learning.

I found Kim's session are not only informative but also engaging as she has a talent for making complex topics (VPC peering and transit gateways) understandable and even exciting (as if vpc peering & transit gateways are not exciting already).

Kim Is also willing to offer guidance, share resources, and encourage growth.

Optima are incredibly fortunate to have Kim on there team and i look forward to attending classes and homework sessions in the future.

I have written reviews but I have to commend that Optima and the Team at Optima have saved and supported me from some of the worst times in my life and given me guidance, hope and belief in myself that I can actually get a job after being unemployed for 3 years after a career in I.T. for 30 years. My mentors and instructors have been amazing and I hope to deliver the Certification not only for myself but to where I can keep in touch with the people that have inspired me in the 2nd phase of my career. People like Andrew, Jack, Maxine, Danni, Amit, Charly, and of course Kim Brook have supported and taught me about the world of AWS throughout my health issues with Kidney Failure, a Mini Heart Attack and Depression, it has been extremely hard dealing with all of this and but Optima has shown me genuine care that the Team all want me to succeed and get back into the workforce and get back to full independance in my life and that currently means the WORLD to me... Salute Optima!

Did the Sunday Project sessions with Kim Brooke. She was amazing pushing and encouraging all of us. Fantastic experience gained and cannot wait for the next one.

I just completed my first cohort as a mentor and it has realy been great. The fact that Optima allows students to resit their courses or mentor to build more on their skills is great absolutely good.
I particularly love the various revision and study sessions held of almost all days of the week and especially the Study Buddy sessions on Sundays with @Kim Brooks. These sessions are extremely helpful not just to mastering skills but also building confidence especially when we do debates. Been great attending these sessions with Kim.

Since finishing my course with Optima early this year I have managed to take my CCP foundation exam so far. I had planned to take my Solutions Architect exam immediately after but life happened and I sort of went off course and wasn't consistent with my study. However, Optima has a thriving learning community with engaging sessions throughout the week. This has helped me get back on track and refresh my knowledge by reviewing key learning points and engaging in challenging tasks and projects. These sessions are being led by academy mentors, instructors and industry professionals who provide support and technical knowledge. Special mention to Kim Brook who leads the study buddy and homework sessions. Kim takes it upon herself to motivate students to achieve their set goals, she makes herself available for one-to-one sessions to provide support and resolve any issues relating to your learning journey at Optima. With her help I am back on track and set to write my SAA exams before the end of this year. I will be coming back to leave another review after my exams.
