I have to admit that I was getting very frustrated with the continuing emails advising me I hadn't completed the forms. I knew I hadn't but was totally unclear about how to resolve the issue. That was until I was linked to a specific person who guided me carefully and accurately through what was needed and suddenly everything dropped perfectly into place. ONLINE FILLINGS LIMITED, don't forget the name of this company, but let me say this from the beginning: stay away from this company and never do business with them because they are operating a system that can victimize you by using the name HMRC.
About 10 days ago, I came across them on Google for VAT Registration. Seeing HMRC, I thought it was reliable and started filling out the form, but first, the payment system appeared (£70.80) and I paid, and there was no warning about a refund. While I was continuing to fill out the form, a problem occurred and I couldn't continue. The next day, because I didn't feel comfortable working with this company, I requested a refund. Since it was the weekend, they responded on Monday and asked me to fill out a form because I requested a refund. I filled it out and explained that I had changed my mind, and a few days later, SOPHIE An employee named [Name of employee] emailed me and stated that a full refund was not possible, but as a gesture of goodwill, they could only refund half of the amount. They refunded £35.40 to my bank account. All these communications were conducted via automated messages and emails. I am writing this again: stay away from this ONLINE FILLINGS LIMITED company and don't waste your money.

Online Filings is a private service provider and this is shown on our website, we provide tools and support to help customers complete registrations, but the official submission process is still carried out with the relevant government body.
In this case, your VAT registration order was started but not completed. As explained during the process, once work has begun on preparing and processing an order, a refund may not always be available in full. This is set out in our terms, and is standard for services where administrative work has already been carried out.
That said, as a gesture of goodwill, a partial refund was issued.
We’re sorry the experience did not meet your expectations. If you ever choose to use our services again, we’ll be happy to support you through the process from start to finish.

Having completed my filing on the 13/04/26 I received a letter from companies house saying it was filed late and that I could be fined, so don't know what happened there. I then used online filings again to change the address and it went through no problem

I would have prefer if I had all the information I needed for the filling to be able to speed up the process. Having reviewed your order, it appears the filing could not be completed at this stage because the company authentication code was not entered. As part of the process, you selected the option within our form to request the code by post, which is a standard Companies House security requirement before filings can be submitted.
The authentication code can take up to 10 working days to arrive at your registered office. The code is issued and sent exclusively by Companies House via post, and the delivery timeframe is unfortunately beyond Online Filings’ control.
Our team responded to your email asking how we could assist further, but we have not yet received a reply.
Online Filings is a private filing service provider, and we do aim to make the filing process simpler by guiding customers through the required steps and checks.

I have use Online fillings a few times…
I have use Online fillings a few times for different services and they have always been prompt, reasonable price and they do everything you need in regards to Ltd company with no hassle . They are also recognised by HMRC & Companies house so there a trust worthy company. For all the hassle of doing it your self and getting it wrong, companies like OF are definitely worth the cost.

Please don't use this company
Please don't use this company. A big scam 3rd party though they pretend to be a government body. You won't be refunded if you mistake used any services. Always use gov.uk website. Emailed to customer service many times, but the lady keeps replying the same. Poor customer service.

Our website, pricing and checkout clearly state that we are an independent service and not affiliated with GOV.UK or Companies House. Filing directly with GOV.UK is always an option, and many customers choose our service to save time and receive assistance throughout the process.
Looking at your case, the dissolution filing was not completed because the authentication code entered during the authorisation step was incorrect. You were given the option to have the authentication code securely sent to your registered office address and then return to continue the filing once received, however you decided not to proceed further.
We appreciate your feedback regarding customer service. Our team replied based on the information available and the Companies House requirements needed to complete the filing.

Profoundly Complicated
Having gained a Personal Code by identification at post office, then completing the input for the Company with acceptance of submission for the Confirmation Statement without use of the Personal Code followed by duplicate identification again needing use of a smart phone was profoundly complicated.

Opportunists. Sent me an email with the title "Your Confirmation Statement is due soon". When I opened the email, it was scaremongering that I had a legal obligation to submit a confirmation statement and not doing so could result in penalties, but it was for a company I have no association with, that isn't local to me, and that I have never even heard of. No mention in the email that they're not actual the official government website so this definitely falls under the 'scam' category for me.
