One Day Tests - Cheltenham Anmeldelser 

Very efficient- from having the sample taken by Jenny (the phlebotomist in Cheltenham) who was kind and understanding to the results which were emailed as explained.
This was my second visit and the dashboard made comparing my current results with the previous ones very clear with guidelines for expected readings.

Very quick service and friendly

The phlebotomist was quick and efficient. I did not have to wait at all. Crucially she explained to me all about the dashboard tabs where my results would be shown and about the series of emails that would explain to me the results of each test as they came through in real time - all in under 24 hours - some earlier!
My only issue is with creating the PDF to show to my doctor but that is probably my fault as I loathe IT.
An excellent service all round with a really broad selection of tests; - I was not offered a ferritin test on the NHS because my haemoglobin was average and the NHS doctor was more concerned with my low white blood cells which I politely explained was due to a combination of hay fever, horse and cat allergy which always arises at this time of year and that I suspected ferritin levels but she would not listen to me!
Suffice it to say that thanks to you I now have evidence that my ferritin levels are very low and I shall act accordingly.
From now on, I shall regularly monitor my ferritin levels with you.

Cannot rate this company highly enough. After ordering blood tests (different company) that were supposedly possible to do at home, only to discover I needed blood from pretty much every finger and still couldn’t get enough for the sample, I gave up and decided to find somewhere that offered a proper blood draw with a nurse.

I found One Day Tests, really liked their website and the reviews looked great so I booked at the Cheltenham clinic. I saw a lovely nurse called Jenny and she was absolutely brilliant. Very professional, which immediately felt reassuring but also so personable and friendly that she completely put me at ease.

I realised I’d accidentally left off one of the blood tests I needed and Jenny added it with absolutely no fuss. Technically, she was brilliant too, one of those nurses you wish could take your blood every single time you need it done. It cleary is a skill because it didn’t hurt or even feel uncomfortable.

The turnaround was brilliant. My results started coming back the very next day, despite it being a Saturday, with further results arriving on Sunday. Having the results so quickly meant I was able to take them to my doctor, who could then progress my referral.

I will absolutely use One Day Tests for any future blood tests I need. A genuinely excellent experience from start to finish and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Convenient location with good parking nearby, very efficient service and excellent personable nurse, very good GP consultation when results came in. I will definitely use One-Day Tests again.

I decided to visit the local centre for One Day Tests which happened to be in Cheltenham,
I opted for the full blood spectrum tests.
I’m 73 yrs old and wanted a better understanding of my body.
This was prompted by a normal check up at my dentist who noticed some inflammation to my gums. She went mad when she discovered I wasn’t using fluoride toothpaste or using mouthwash. She scoffed and would not listen to my informed reasonings; given fluoride is a poison and mouthwash is carcinogenic - what couldn’t she get? Her counter argument was that you spit it all out and don't swallow it… duh!
As her patient I just said the stuff is being brushed actively through a most absorbent part of the body - the mouth area - straight into my blood stream Duhhhh!
I’ve been with that practice for maybe 18 years!
It took me just 24hrs to find a new holistic dentist and i transferred to that practice.
I was seen in 24 hours.
He suggested propolis from Beevital for the gums .., However -
He also suggested full bloods test and analysis to ensure no underlying problems like diabetes or inflammation markers…
So...Afterwards I tried my doctor practice. Telephoned them:::::
1. Recorded answer machine message 20 mins long, Giving useless options.
2. I persisted via various means and was told that I couldn’t get the blood test without a full doctor appointment and as it wasn’t a serious issue then an appointment could be 3 weeks hence. Also no guarantee that you’d get a full blood test anyway. Gum inflammation is not a valid reason. Basically, I’d otherwise have to lie with fake other symptoms!
In other words we have no real health care in UK and i wasn’t dying today so “go away”

So I went online and discovered One Day Tests and that seemed was the answer albeit I had to pay for it all.
I got the appointment same day I asked.
Simple blood extraction. No issue at all.
As we were coming up to Bank Holiday Monday I was pre warned that results would maybe take a little longer than usual.
So: Thursday - blood sample taken locally
Friday - email to me to advise that lab had received sample (i.e the next day)
Saturday - full results and dashboard graphs emailed to me.
Wow - such efficiency, how fast was that!
What does this show:
1. NHS/GP system is broken let alone outdated and also there is preset Dentist mentality. Maybe they are incentified to push Corsodyl and Colgate!
2. Self help and knowledge is frowned upon.
How dare you you question the “experts”
3. You can take matters under your control but it needs basic understanding and ability to pay for it.
Results: very comprehensive and rather exciting to see most of what my body is up to! No diabetes, no inflammation markers.
Testosterone very low. I have options, albeit at 73yrs old - as what to do about that and even that can be handled with doctors at One Day Tests.

In my opinion it was all very efficient and comprehensive and fully met my needs.
Also reassuring that nothing terrible lurking in the shadows.
If I was on Rupert Lowe’s team (!) then how great for a free health service encompassing these sort of things.
To quote MLK - “I have a dream”.
My journey toward full holistic health care carries on.
One Day Tests - totally recommended but I am humbled that I had the means to pay for it whereas many others wouldn’t be able to.
Then again we have choices to either shell out a little for our health or use money to ensure latest gizmo or consumer toy. One will be life enhancing, the other a fleeting moment,
