Warranty not honored for SCARPA boots after less than two years

I purchased a pair of SCARPA Zodiac Plus GTX boots from Oliunìd in November 2024. The boots were purchased specifically for me and have been used normally for their intended purpose, hiking and trekking.

Less than two years after the purchase, the sole started separating from the boot at the heel, on both boots.

I contacted SCARPA, and they directed me to deal with the retailer. I then contacted Oliunìd and provided the order confirmation and photographs of the problem. Oliunìd forwarded SCARPA’s rejection, stating that SCARPA considered the problem normal wear and attributed the separation to the way I remove the boots. The warranty claim was therefore rejected.

I strongly disagree with this assessment. The boots have not been technically examined, and I do not remove them in the manner described by SCARPA.

What is particularly disappointing is Oliunìd’s position as the retailer. I purchased these boots from Oliunìd expecting not only a high-quality product from SCARPA, but also a retailer that would stand behind the products it sells and properly support customers when a premature problem occurs.

Based on this experience, I would not advise customers to assume that Oliunìd will stand behind the warranty of a premium product if something goes wrong.

I am publishing this review so that other hikers and trekkers can take this experience into account when deciding whether to purchase from Oliunìd.

Garanzia non riconosciuta per scarponi SCARPA dopo meno di due anni

Ho acquistato da Oliunìd, nel novembre 2024, un paio di SCARPA Zodiac Plus GTX. Gli scarponi sono stati acquistati appositamente per me e sono stati utilizzati normalmente per la loro destinazione d’uso, escursionismo e trekking.

A meno di due anni dall’acquisto, la suola ha iniziato a staccarsi dallo scarpone nella zona del tallone, su entrambi gli scarponi.

Ho contattato SCARPA, che mi ha indirizzato al rivenditore. Ho quindi contattato Oliunìd, fornendo la conferma dell’ordine e le fotografie del problema. Oliunìd mi ha inoltrato il rifiuto di SCARPA, secondo cui il problema sarebbe dovuto alla normale usura e il distacco sarebbe stato causato dal modo in cui tolgo gli scarponi. La richiesta di garanzia è stata quindi respinta.

Non sono assolutamente d’accordo con questa valutazione. Gli scarponi non sono stati sottoposti ad alcuna valutazione tecnica e non li tolgo nel modo descritto da SCARPA.

Ciò che mi delude particolarmente è la posizione assunta da Oliunìd in qualità di rivenditore. Ho acquistato questi scarponi da Oliunìd aspettandomi non solo un prodotto di alta qualità da parte di SCARPA, ma anche un rivenditore che fosse disposto a sostenere i prodotti che vende e ad assistere adeguatamente i propri clienti quando si verifica un problema prematuro.

Sulla base di questa esperienza, non consiglierei ai clienti di dare per scontato che Oliunìd sosterrà la garanzia di un prodotto di fascia alta qualora si verifichi un problema.

Pubblico questa recensione affinché altri escursionisti e trekker possano tenere conto di questa esperienza quando decidono se acquistare da Oliunìd.
