Online Bill Payment System appears to be compromised. I am on my 4th credit card due to fraudulent activity. By using a Virtual credit card number for each website, I have traced the issues to Ohm's website.
I called Ohm Electric, and they stated they will look into the issue. How long does it take to correct a website?
The BBB has complaints on BBB.org dating back to Sept 2025. It appears that customers have not been notified and that the website has not been repaired.
I am writing to report serious security concerns regarding online bill payment through OhmConnect.
After consistently paying my bill online, I have experienced unauthorized, fraudulent charges on the credit card used, typically occurring a couple of weeks after each payment. These charges have appeared from random businesses in locations like Canada and France.
To confirm my suspicion that this issue was linked specifically to my online payment with OhmConnect, I recently used a virtual credit card number designated exclusively for OhmConnect transactions. I can now confirm that the most recent unauthorized charge, originating from France, used this unique virtual card number.
This pattern strongly suggests that the credit card information submitted through your online payment system is being compromised.
I request that you immediately investigate this serious security vulnerability. I also need to understand what measures will be taken to protect my payment information moving forward and how I can be reimbursed for the resulting fraudulent charges.
I just purchased a home and moved in on 11/13/2024. I contacted SCE to see if I was eligible for any rebates for the Google Next Thermostat. They advised was not because I have a OhmConnect account associated with my address. SCE advise I needed to contact OmhConnect an unlink my account. I called OhmConnect several times and emailed them several requesting to cancel my account. So far zero response. I would love to start a class action suite again OmhConnect. Would anyone like to join me?

I purchased solar from OHM 1 yr n a few mo ago. I went over n over my contract w salesman multiple times b4 I purchased. I was told 85. For 1st 18 mo. Then went up to 118 or so after that. At no time did they ever advise me I had an over 6500.00 TIP pymt due prior to mo. 18.
These guys r rip offs. Typical salesman. Jack said he'd be there anytime to help me after purchase, i can't even get him to text me back. All their office can say is I had that big balloon pymt due n that's why my pymt went up prior to mo. 18. Well their salesman never even went over then. Ive never heard the word TIP Until I just looked it up myself on Dividends website. don't buy from them!!!!

I think this is a scam. I had my handyman yesterday pull out my refrigerator I attempted to plug in the device but to no avail and since I never heard back from anyone I have to pay him again to push the refrigerator back in

Can't get a "LIVE" Customer Support Rep or 800#. Says it's not connected but my fridge is plugged into it. Says I'm not connected via wifi but again Noone to help me and the minimal slip of paper instructions or assumption we all are internet / wifi savy....

I just signed up for the OHM service and received the free OhmPlug. I followed the set up completely as it said. I plugged my stand up freezer into the plug. The next day I went to my freezer and it was not on. I unplugged it from the Ohmplug and back into the outlet and it came on. I tried plugging the Ohmplug into several other devices and appliances and nothing would work while plugged into this device. I am not sure how this plug is supposed to work. I also decided to purchase 6 more of the plugs prior to finding this out. I would also like to find out how to get a refund for the ones that I ordered and paid for.
they approved and turned on my Electric for my Garage and shop and sent me a Welcome letter and the contract but few hours after got message saying they would not provide Electric to my Garage because it wasn't a residence, at first they transfered power from another home on the property which was not suppose to be touched and that Company charged them with a $300 early termination fee and OhmConnect said they moved it back it was too late they still got stuck with termination fees and they had to go to a different company to get service restored

I've been on a bit of energy kick lately and started using ohm connect. You can't save too much through them, but they still save me a few bucks every month - which is definitely better than nothing!
My provider just sold my brand new renewal contract with just few days over 30 days notice to Discount Power. Shopping around and calling providers to gauge service response. I have been in a bot queue for over 5 min to ask questions about their service. If I can’t even get through to a human now, what’s it going to be like if I am a customer? Similar problem with GoodCharlie. But at least bot told me there was a 10 minute wait. My current provider, Varsity Energy was excellent, local CS and answered on 2nd ring. Too bad they are selling out their customers! …After waiting 10 min in line, Ohm bot just said I could leave msg. Next!!

Have seen no real legitimate benefit and the "opportunities" or events to save on power are completely at random and they will text you like 5-10 minutes prior to it starting. So... Don't be in the middle of anything.
They also give no indication for how long the events will last. 5 minutes? 10? An hour or more? No clue, they just let you know when it's done.
I imagine there is a schedule they go off of but for whatever reason we are not privvy to that information.
Can't speak for anyone else but I am rather fond of having a schedule or at least some notice for things that can affect flow of my day. Especially working from home.
For whatever reason though they seem to run it like a middle school game of red light/green light and that just makes me anxious and angry.
Will probably "spin the prize wheel" to burn up my points because the no notice "schedule" has killed my streak and I guess thats how you "save" by basically gambling for prizes, which seems questionable at best. Its like my power bill has awful loot boxes. Cool.

My bills are lower. However, I was injured in November and had unexpected expenses because it, making my December payment late. When I called to discuss the customer rep was cold and informed me of the date my electricity would be cut off. They have a very short period of time before they'll cut you off and I have a senior citizen on an electric concentrator living in my home. Disappointed I made this switch now.

Ohmconnect determines your reduction target based on your historical electricity consumption, primarily using a 10-day average. While this approach initially seemed reasonable, it became problematic over time.
The primary issue surfaced when my initial efforts to reduce my electricity usage resulted in a substantial drop in my 10-day average. Subsequently, when Ohmconnect tasked me with further significant reductions in electricity usage, it often felt nearly impossible to achieve. I had already disconnected or adjusted everything possible, and my home was operating at peak efficiency.
Moreover, as my 10-day average dropped significantly due to my initial savings, subsequent OhmHours felt less rewarding. The reduction targets didn't align with the new baseline, leading to frustration. Essentially, it seemed as if I were being penalized for successfully conserving energy during the early stages of my participation.
In the long run, it became challenging to see how I could continue to benefit from Ohmconnect without resorting to extreme measures like turning off my air conditioning on hot days or living in perpetual darkness. While some users may discover ways to consistently save, it can be exceedingly challenging for those who have already made substantial changes to their electricity consumption habits.
To compound matters, Ohmconnect frequently offered me "prizes" in the form of additional money for successful referrals. However, this approach did not align with my personal values. My initial intent in joining Ohmconnect was to reduce my electricity usage to save money and help the environment, rather than actively promoting or convincing others to follow suit. For me, the true value of the platform was rooted in my own energy-saving efforts, not in recruiting others to participate. The constant encouragement to refer friends and family felt like a diversion from the core mission of energy conservation and didn't resonate with my objectives.
In conclusion, Ohmconnect presents a commendable concept with the potential to encourage energy conservation and reward users for their efforts. However, the platform's reliance on 10-day averages and the diminishing returns on energy-saving efforts over time can make it frustrating for users who are already conscientious about their electricity consumption. Furthermore, the heavy emphasis on referral incentives may not align with everyone's values and goals. I am not able to redeem my current watts with my android smart phone. Ohm claims it doesn't recognize my device, then fails to send me a page to enter the code it sends to my email. I have messaged them about this issue but received no help. In the beginning it worked, but no more...

It's a stupid program. Once you dial your energy use down you will lose all your points which could have been converted to money. They start subtracting credits once you can no longer reduce your energy...you have all your lights out, no fan or ac, no tv...you are sitting alone in the dark because you cannot save any more energy and then they dock you 60 points.

Very unreliable service. Several times now, I have had a scheduled ohm hour and my devices fail to turn off. On the website it says my devices are “preparing” while the live ohm hour event is taking place.
