We purchased a vauxhall zafira from the NWTC Morecombe branch august 2025, and payed for additional warranty cover. Upon purchase the car seemed in great condition and even had John tell us it was a grade 1 second hand car. Upon getting the car home (40min drive) we had a check engine light appear, the car would cut out on start up and the engine would make a knocking noise. Once we raised these issues with the dealership it took several attempts talking the numerous people to get booked back in with them for repair. Once there they did provide us with a courtesy car (which also seemed dangerous to drive as it would veer off to the left 🙈) safe to say we didnt put our children in it!
These repairs took over 6 weeks to resolve, with several phone calls to ask for update as no one stayed in contact. When the car was eventually returned we still had the same issue! So to avoid the dealership as we were fed up with chasing them we payed for the repairs privately as we felt NWTC were completely incompetent in resolving the issues. Not even a year later there is another issue with the car where a sensor is causing electrical issues, luckily we found this is covered on the warranty we bought. However, we have been completely blind sided today to find out that when the car was returned to NWTC last year for the issues and necessary repairs the car needed that NWTC had fraudulently used our warranty to try and have the repairs funded making it look like us as the owners had put that claim in for the warranty to cover! This essentially took away one claim of the warranty if we ever needed it and they had used and accessed our warranty WITHOUT our permission! to add insult to injury, in light of the current sensor issue our independent mechanic had to take a panel off to access this where he found a working spare key to the car! Just showing the car clearly DID NOT go through thorough inspection before being sold!
PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Picked up our new car. Ian most helpful again, everything sorted out for us, very quick and easy,

AVOID- DODGEY COMPANY! NO RESPONSE! - Bought a car from NWTC around end of August 2025 time. Had a fault that only became apparent in winter time (a leak), as well as a faulty seatbelt that needs manually adjusting upon each use as it came undone during journeys. We texted Wayne, whom we bought the car from, before Christmas and he said he would get the car booked in after the Christmas period. Nothing resulted from this.

Unfortunately, owing to a family member becoming severely ill, it was not chased up between Feb and March. After chasing it up in March as well as April, we were met with complete silence again and the message didn’t even deliver.

After my personal circumstances alleviated, I chased NWTC back up and finally got the car booked in June. As I handed over the keys he asked what I was there for, as if he wasn’t expecting me. I reminded him of the seatbelt and car door leakage.

He said it would be done for 8 days later. It wasn’t, which I was okay with as these things never pan out as expected. However, I had to chase up every other day as no one kept in touch. Resultantly, after 13 days we got the car back. The seatbelt had not been resolved as he said he “forgot” which is just unacceptable and dangerous. He should’ve written it down or texted to confirm.

I understand the door is not formally part of the warranty, however, as it was agreed to be booked in, this should have been honoured appropriately, especially as we bought the car with these faults.

He essentially blamed us for leaving it so late, although he is the person responsible for the lack of urgency as he completely ignored us for months on end. He also said we weren’t prepared to give the car in? When I got the car back, sentimental things and money also taken from the car, not sure by whom as it was sent to multiple places. Obviously no specific blame is implied as per the previous sentence- however, the follow up was inadequate.

I found Wayne in particular to be extremely condescending, and to be frank, rude. Other people I spoke to on the phone were also rude and dismissive, and would never follow up on their promises to get back to me.

They even went as far as responding to someone elses negative review stating that it was my mother and I fabricating a fake review, as well as publicing our personal information.

If you are considering buying a car here, READ THE RESPONSES to many of the negative GOOGLE reviews to see the type of attitude this company has. I must say that the responses on trust pilot (some signed off as James Taylor) are much so more professional and appropriate- go and look at what i assume is new management- Zac Porter responses. He is the one that published mine and my mothers personal info when defaming us in a response to a complete strangers negative review.

Overall: poorly ran and the blame is then put put on customers.
