This is quick trip through 3 countries, but it is an excellent use of time and very well-planned. It is a nice balance of travel, scheduled tours and free time. The travel time on the trains and the cruise ferry provided enjoyable sightseeing.
Derek is a terrific tour leader. He is well-prepared and thoughtful. He is knowledgeable and curious. He goes the extra mile to answer questions, solve problems and anticipate needs.
The local guides in each city were pleasant and entertaining.
The accommodations are very comfortable in stylish hotels that are in good locations. The included breakfast buffets always had ample selections and high quality. The included lunches and dinners were at nice restaurants that easily handled our group of 11 guests.
We will highly recommend this tour to friends and family.

Our trip was amazing! Every day our route was clearly described and all the attractions were indicated. The staff at Nordic Visitor communicated extremely well by answering questions and replying to emails promptly. We will definitely use Nordic Visitor for future travel.

Our guide, Asgaard (sp??) was superb. All of the hotels were comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent.

Iceland is so different from anyplace else we have been-Beautiful, rustic and wild.

Our consultant Simona Chylova was always responsive, polite and knowledgeable. She made it easy for us say "Yes."

We had a great experience on Nordic Visitors 8 day Natural Wonders of Iceland. Driving the Ring Road around Iceland provided an excellent overview of the natural wonders of Iceland. The customer service provided by Nordic Visitor was outstanding from start to finish. We had major delays with our flight and baggage getting to Iceland and Clarence did a great job of adjusting our airport transfer and Sky Lagoon reservation based on our delays. He always responded quickly to my inquiries.

Each day of the trip was unique and interesting. The Hótel accommodations were nice, the dinners were all delicious and there was a nice schedule/pace each day starting at 9am or later on a couple of days. Plenty of toilet stops along the way. Our guide Reynir was great although we did have trouble understanding him sometimes, especially at the beginning of the trip before we grew accustomed to his accent.

My one suggestion would be to include a stop or two at a geothermal pool or two along the way or to add it as an option late in the afternoon. I did go to two city pools that were in walking distance of our hotels.

I would highly recommend this trip. Just be warned- Iceland is a very expensive country!

We have just returned from the Nordicvisitor Highlights of Norway 10 day tour. Our guide, Anna, was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable, well organized, no silly jokes, just a very well rounded personable guide that presented everything in a well thought out format. Our driver, Jan, was also exceptional and got a lot of praise and high marks from our small group. Hotel accommodations were very good, the food was excellent, especially all the terrific breakfasts and fish dinners. Anne Grethe was extremely well organised, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly as were the 2 bus drivers. Despite the wet weather we all had a great time.

Anne was a great guide. So friendly and knowledgeable. A joy to be around. It was obvious Anne has a great relationship with the restaurants, hotels, and tour sites. And the bus drivers were great too. Professional!

Jens was an excellent guide. He was friendly, organized, and knowledgeable. His being a native of Norway added much to our experience. One of us had a knee injury from 6 months ago and he very kindly pointed out elevators and ramps.
All of the sights and local guides were wonderful. The printed material and tips that we received before and at the beginning of the tour enhanced our enjoyment. The extra airport taxi arrangements were flawless. There was a very good mix of structured and “down” time. The breakfasts and other restaurant meals were delicious.
We would confidently recommend this tour.

Also, loved coming on the “shoulder” season- even though we had some rain. We did not battle the summer crowds.

Booking was easy. Sara helped with a couple of questions prior to our tour. Private transfer from the airport was perfect.
We had a van mechanical problem one day that was resolved without a need to change itinerary…

I have used Nordic Visitor twice. Once for a road trip for my wife and me to Scotland where we rented a car and drove a good bit and a second for a three week trip by train ferry and auto to Scandinavia. Jana from Nordic Visitor helped us plan the recent trip to Norway, Sweden and Denmark. What I really like about the company is their ability to customize an itinerary to suit your preferences and also the local expertise they bring to make good suggestions for consideration. They have standard programs but definitely do not push them on you, Jana was willing to speak and work on multiple iterations of the program til we got what we wanted. She listened to our preferences in terms of speed of travel and ability to spend time in the capital cities but also ample time in the countryside (Norway and the fjords after all) and in the end we had a great plan that matched the percent of time we wanted in each location. They never force anything on you and are very happy to plan around your needs and preferences. Also Jana was great in discussing why she made certain recommendations that might differ from our initial suggestions, and in our case Jana's suggestions were smart ones. She also was able to look ahead to certain scheduling issues at key destinations, and as a result we avoided some unexpected shut downs that could have screwed up one of the key parts of our trip. I find the value they provide is worth the price. Everything was organzized quite well for all the logistics, and I like the info packets they send with ideas for how to spend the day but with many options to chose from. Some their suggestions are not a focus in guide books so are helpful. Their staff favorites were worth considering too and the restaurant guides they provide are helpful for planning dinners. The hotels I will add were all in excellent locations. All in all I think Nordic Visitor offers good value for the service they provide and am a satisfied client

Dave our guide and Robert our driver were fantastic. Really made us feel welcome. And they were a delight. The tour was spectacular and we look forward to booking again!

First of all Clarence and the entire team at Nordic Visitor made the trip so stress free. We did the self- driving trip and it was a breeze. They had everything laid out for us with preprinted certificates and there were absolutely no hitches on their end. The thing that surprised us the most was the 24/7 call center or emailing our coordinator during our trip. We had a number of last minute changes mainly due to the weather for the day. They were on top of the changes, no questions asked and suggested alternatives. They really acted like our trvel partner/friend during the entire trip.

Now for Iceland. This was a bucketlist trip for us but it turned out to be a huge and amazing surprise. The food was amazing, the locals were so friendly and the neverending sites were off the chart. We have told all our friends and families that this is a must do trip. Can't wait to come back and explore the rest of Iceland!

My recent "highlights of Scandinavia" tour with Nordic Visitor was perfect from start to finish, largely thanks to an incredibly well-planned itinerary and our phenomenal guide. Every day offered something fresh, but what truly elevated the entire experience was our guide. Derek's communication was flawless from day one—always clear, proactive, and highly informative, meaning we never had to worry about logistics or timing. What was appreciated most was how our guide went above and beyond during our scheduled free time. Instead of just leaving us to wander, Derek provided tailored recommendations and personally led extra excursions. For example, when we had an hour layover between trains on the Norway in a Nutshell portion of the trip, he took those interested in a short leg stretcher hike. In Copenhagen, the trip included tickets to Tivoli Gardens for use during free time. Derek offered to lead those interested to and through the part. This was a huge time saver since we didn't have to spend time navigating the public transportation to the park on out own. To top it all off, our guide's expertise shone brightest during the fjord cruise. Derek knew exactly how to navigate the crowds and secured the absolute best viewing spots on the boat, allowing us to take in the majestic scenery comfortably. Between the stunning landscapes and the top-tier guiding, this was a five-star experience through and through. I cannot recommend this tour—and our wonderful guide—highly enough!

Our travel agent, Jana, was easy to work with. She fulfilled our requests and planned a great “Norway in a Nutshell” trip for us. The information we were provided with regarding our itinerary, lodgings, and transportation was well done. The recommendations given for activities and restaurants were also great! We were a group of 6 Canadian woman and had a great experience with Nordic Visitor! Our travel consultant Jemima was extremely helpful in tailoring our 'Norway in a Nutshell' tour with our many special additions and requests. While Jemima (and her colleagues) respected all our requests, she would also offer great advice on what would work and what wouldn`t. Importantly, the consultant team always responded quickly via phone and email to all inquiries. In addition we also received regular detailed reports on the areas in Norway we were to visit. As the trip grew closer the info sent became more targeted, which all felt reassuring. The voucher system worked extremely well. I printed them all out and wherever I presented them we received great service from the sub-suppliers, i.e. local hotels and tour companies. It all worked seamlessly. The cost of all this service is not cheap, but we felt it was very much worth it. Highly recommended.

Beautiful country and Snori was a great guide. Particularly the stories about his pastor grandfather and a visit to his country church,

We had a great tour of Scandinavia using planes, trains and ferry's. All planned by them. It worked really well all transfers were easy and most within walking distance of the hotels.
Had a couple of small issues but were fixed within a couple of hours. Plus they give you things to do and see when at the location you are going to as an extra value. Will use them again. Brilliant.
