Not refunding my deposit
I've had a bad experience with No Boundaries. I put down £798 for a deposit for a Surfing trip. No Boundaries cancelled that trip on 22nd March (only a few weeks before it was meant to happen) and they offered me a few options, including a full refund. I requested the full refund the same day. On 23rd March they confirmed and said that it would take up to 30 days to get the deposit back. Then, on 25 April they said there would be a delay, without giving a clear reason as to why. I haven't heard from them since then, despite emailing them on 10 May asking for an update.
It's now been nearly 2 months since I requested the deposit back for a trip which they cancelled. I really need that £798 and it's causing me a lot of discomfort not getting it back.
They also cancelled a previous trip (Ice Climbing) and took a very long time to refund me the deposit.
I have heard from friends that the trips are good, but I would be very careful putting down a deposit with this company if you are not in a position to be short of cash.

I am really sorry that you have had to chase us like this, this isn't how we like to operate at all. We have been dealing with some in-house changes in management that have meant dealing with international banks which has proved difficult to say the least. That said, I fully understand that none of this is helpful when trying to get your refund back.
I have messaged the managers of that department to see if they can get in touch with you to clear everything up, or of course, see why your refund has taken so long and to speed up the process where possible.

Via Ferrata week in Gressoney Valley.
Via Ferrata week in Gressoney Valley.
It out of season- who cares. It meant that there was a tranquility about the village and more chance to commune with nature. This is an outdoor paradise with myriad walking, climbing and skiing routes, all well sign posted.
I slept soundly, ate heartily and played hard on the varied Vïa ferratas chosen by our guide, Hervé.
A wee shout out to the two friendliest folk in the village- Mr Tourist info and the smiley woman in the pizza shop.
Overall, a great week. So good, my partner is making me wear lead boots to bring me back down to earth.
Bring on the next adventure.

Cinque Terre Hiking Italy
Had an incredible 5 day Tester hiking experience in the Cinque Terre region of Italy. The Guide, Kirsti, was incredible, very knowledgeable and great person to spend the time with. The area is phenomenal and the route can be flexible to your fitness levels. The hotel was great and breakfast was delicious, the staff always made an effort to have some traditional Italian Dulce Focaccia, for the team to try.
Communication prior to the trip could have been better from No Boundaries.
Accessing the hotel via public transport was fairly easy, we did have issues with our train tickets to the hotel, but were easily resolved. Kirsti met us at the train station in Moneglia and escorted us to the Hotel for check in. Which was very welcome.
I would recommend this trip in this region.

Cinque Terre Hiking Week
I had a fantastic experience with No Boundaries, hiking in Cinque Terre as an activity tester. Our guide Kirsti was friendly and knowledgeable, and I loved spending the week with a small group of likeminded people. Each day we walked between 18-22km along the beautiful Italian coastline, stopped off for focaccia (and an ice cream or two!) at lunch, enjoyed celebratory Aperol Spritz's, wine and nibbles at the end of each hike, and finished the day off with a team meal in our local town. The communication from No Boundaries could have been better before departure, but on the whole, a great trip.

Refund not processed after more than 30days

It is the 02.05.2023 and my refund was not processed. That’s well more than 30 days. NoBoundaries fails to meet its own terms and conditions. I have not given the consent to withhold my money for more than the period that I agreed to.
I recieved a long generic email without any reference to my order number and without any clear timeline for processing my refund. Basically, a lot of Blabla without any concrete information on what’s going to happen next.
Purchased a tester activity on 30.08.2022 for the summer 2023. I sent the cancellation request on the 19.03.2023 because I lacked the confidence that NoBoundaries will come through and they had the gut feeling that they will inform me last minute that’s cancelled.

Not sending refund
I bought two passes to use with No Boundaries on trips. Their communication in relation to details of the trips available was poor and based on this I ended up lacking confidence in the company to organise a trip. I then requested a refund for the passes, which is permitted in the terms and conditions. They acknowledged the refund request and said I would receive it within 30 days, which seems like a long time but I accepted that was how things were. After 30 days and still no refund, I followed up. They said there are problems processing payments. I've asked them to confirm when I will receive my refund and they have not got back to me.

5-day northern Italy hiking trip
I spent a week in northern Italy as an activity tester on a 5-day hiking adventure. The trip was fantastic, Kirsti the guide in particular was great! We walked gorgeous coastal paths, enjoyed local gelato/wine, and had a great time exploring this region and the beautiful villages in a small group of 5! Communication from NB could have been better before the trip, hence 4 stars, but appreciate this was for a tester experience

No Boundaries owes us £3000+ of refund, beware of long delays and "unforeseen issues"
We booked 3 trips with No Boundaries. After they cancelled our trips last minute more than 2 months ago, they still haven't processed our refund. We got an email yesterday saying that there's an unforeseen issue with their refund processing system. For the past 2 months, we have tried to be patient and understanding with No Boundaries, but this is getting increasingly unacceptable.
We are waiting for more than £3000 to be refunded by this point. I wouldn't trust No Boundaries with trips in the future, and I would advise others to not book with this company.

As you may or may not be aware, No Boundaries has recently had a change in ownership and directorship. While all new bookings are coming on the new account and software, the old ones are stored safely in a separate account that was set up by the previous owners and directors. We have experienced delays caused by the bank in accessing this account for compliance purposes for which we realise the inconvenience caused. We have communicated this to most of our members and we are sorry if we failed to communicate this to you promptly. We also understand that, for those who don't know us or have not yet been on one of our activities, this delay is a cause of concern and we are working around the clock to address this unprecedented situation.
After investigating the circumstances around the cancelations of your trips, I can see that one of the trips you are referring to is the adventure teams program which you withdrew from and it has not been cancelled.
In relation to the other 2 trips which were cancelled, these were both apart of our activity tester program. The tester program has been running successfully for many years, however as these are often testing new activities in new locations, there is a risk of cancellation or amendment up until embarking on the adventure which is highlighted when signing up to the program. The tester program was designed to allow members to access adventures for free through paying a deposit which is fully refundable upon completion of a number of tasks as set out in the terms and conditions when securing your place. Unfortunately, in recent times, we have found a number of people taking advantage of this program and not completing the required tasks which has forced us to review the continuation of the program.

What a scam..
My boyfriend and I booked last year 2 testing activities for this year. After we agreed on the dates with NoBoundries and booked our holiday, 2 weeks before the planned date of the first trip (Polar Expedition), they canceled the trip.
I find this unacceptable so therefore we requested a cancelation for the second activity (summer water multisports) as well. I don‘t want to plan my summer with this trip in mind and have it canceled last minute.
That being said, the cancelation of the first trip was done by NoBoundries in February and we have received no money back. When should we hope receive the money for both trips? It‘s almost May..
I would not book again with this company and unless you want to feel scammed and have your plans ruined last moment, I advise you to do the same..

No refund even tho it's the organiser who cancelled the trip
Booked a Tester Polar Adventure with No Boundaries. The aim of the trip was to "test" the activity, take notes and pictures and at the end write up an essay on how the trip was perceived. It was planned for March 5. Feb 17, so three weeks before the planned trip when I had all my travel and accomodation to London scheduled, I receive an email that it was cancelled. Right. I could see the reasoning behind the cancellation in the email, fair enough, however the late notice was a bit frustrating. I requested a refund for my booking on Feb 18. Feb 20 they say that I should receive the refund within 30 days. I mean, you can see where this is going. No refund, I reach out again. March 23, refund is "re-send". March 29, still no refund in my bank account. Ongoing.

I have conducted an investigation into this and have seen that our Director has been dealing with your situation personally.
Firstly, I would like to apologise for the cancellation of your trip, this was not an easy decision to make, but one that had to be done to ensure the ongoing success of the tester program. Since then, we have made significant changes to the program and are very excited about the upcoming trips we have planned under it.
With regard to the refund. I have spoken to the accounts team and they have advised that the refund has been fully processed on our end and is currently with our payment provider. I believe that our Director emailed you to confirm this and that he has also contacted our payment provider to request an update and tracking.
I hope this issue is resolved as quickly as possible and please be assured we are doing all we can on our end to make this happen.

Severely disorganized, and borderline fraudulent
My experience with the company has been nothing short of a nightmare. I signed up for "the Patagonia Traverse" program, but No Boundaries was not able to deliver. I requested a refund in December and was repeatedly promised resolution, but the company always failed to deliver the actual money.
It's been months since I made the refund request, and to date, it still has not been completed. This is completely unacceptable. The company is severely disorganized, and borderline fraudulent. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the way No Boundaries has handled this situation. It's hard to believe that a company like this can operate in the UK, given the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism displayed.
I urge anyone considering using No Boundaries to think twice before doing so. If you value your time and money, stay away from this company. I hope this review serves as a warning to others who may be considering using No Boundaries for their adventures.

I can see from our ongoing email correspondence that we tried to issue the refund way back in March and this was communicated to you at the time. We have sent you multiple emails as recently as 18th May trying to help you resolve this issue to which you have not replied - I would recommend checking your spam folder.
Over the past year, we have experienced significant changes internally including a change of ownership and directorship. This change raised a number of unforeseeable challenges which unfortunately did have an effect on our customers, however, we worked diligently, day and night, to try and overcome these with as little effect on our customers as possible.
Over the past few months, we have implemented new booking systems, procedures and automation to increase communication, efficiency and accuracy across all of our systems.

💙my mini adventure
I loved my mini adventure: Ice climbing, hiking and the occasional dip!!
Accommodation and host was excellent and couldn't be more helpful.
Breakfast was superb.
Good choice of restaurants within walking distance.
We were a small group and most of our time was spent with Herve our Guide and host who was brilliant.
I had an unfortunate accident which put stop to my adventure but NB and in particular Herve, were brilliant and did all they could to help.
Looking forward to the next adventure already!!

Ice Climbing & travel winner!
I booked with No Boundries on a whim. I went on a solo trip Ice Climbing in Italy for the first time ever. The whole trip was well managed, i got good communication from the team about what was needed where to be and accommodation was good for the price! i really enjoyed it.
The Ice Climbing itself was a real hoot, well managed introduction for first timers and progressed to more advanced skills by day 2. I would highly recommend this to anyone who would like to try the sport.
