I joined Nextdoor thinking the app would contain friendly interactions with neighbors and that was not the case.The moderators ignored my report to take down a series of posts that reveal my personal health information,contain unauthorized photos of myself and my house.They selectively enforce community guidelines based on personal opinions.Offensive comments towards others are allowed.I had a phone break and lose access to the phone number but retained the same Email.I messaged the help desk and was told my account was deactivated and would have to reverify using a different Email just to change the phone number.I had no issues switching all my banking apps yet these people act as if they are guarding Fort Knox not a gossip forum.

This app is the epitome of useless. Post an important post and it falls to show. Don’t waste your time on this app.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay off this platform!
You will find out very quickly that the local city officials have entourage on the review teams. They will censor anything that doesn't fit council agenda. There's a ton of evidence this is happening all over. Not isolated incidents, and not tinfoil-hatter paranoia. When you uncover it, maybe think about Statute 1983 (42 U.S.C. § 1983)?

It seems a lot of you are identifying with this problem, as I've seen a lot of traffic to this review lately.

The Criminal Harassment is not just coming from city officials and review teams, it's coming from random neighbors that take issue with our posts. I had to lock mine down to prevent hostile traffic and fights. Some didn't like the fact I locked my posts to prevent their hostile comments, so they took it to DM and harassed me. Very aggressive and threatening messages about me and my daughter, and to get out of town if we don't like it. These messages were presented to law enforcement who completely disregarded them, and kept both me and my daughter on the phone gaslighting us and arguing the merits of a police report, instead of just taking the F'N police report. This harassment by police is also being investigated. There happens to be a federal fraud case unraveling, involving my city and a federal support agency. This issue directly affected me, and the city officials are trying to obstruct CPRA requests for logs specific to that case. It's huge, and the corruption is very real!

What I'd really like to know, being an outcast and non-conformist: Why are we all fighting? Fighting over gender identity, or a woman's reproductive rights, RED & BLUE etc. Does anyone pay attention to the CDC, USGS or NWS? Guys... Global Warming and COVID (Cicada) are real, and the wet-bulb failure predictions for ~2050 EOL have been updated to ~2040 in light of recent weather incidents like Phoenix, Arizona. 14 years we have to figure out how to save humanity. How the hell are we going to do that with all this petty bickering and tribal segregation going on?

We all feel the 'invisible energy bubble' created by public affection. A single warm hug creates a field of positive energy. When other people within that field share their own affection, the bubbles overlap, and the positive energy begins to bounce off everything and everyone—even those not directly participating.

I dream of a world where we intentionally generate these bubbles everywhere—in supermarkets, on the streets, everywhere. Imagine the chain reaction if we all just offered a moment of genuine warmth. This type of global warming is tolerable isn't it?

I made a request to join nextdoor in Tyler,Tx.but was immediately placed on Indefinite Account Suspension.
Ironically,I'd not achieved an account in the first place to be suspended & given only multiple scenarios as to why this could have occurred leaving me to believe this particular "Hood" is governed by an overbearing "Gotcha Granny" & consequently has lost its appeal.
I handed it one star however making it a One Star Pony Show.

Account was suspended without explanation or notification. When I contacted them I recieved the same auto-generated email asking for a copy of my ID THREE TIMES. I replied three times and included a copy of my ID TWICE. I was then told the issue was resolved, but I still wasn't able to verify my account. This is a clear case of admirable service provided by an objectionable outfit.

I miss nextdoor from the older days. It use to be home owner posts. Now it's mostly business advertising or ads every third post. Most of my area are threads on porch crime, pets, lost pets, people doing unethical things.... and the more annoying of attracting stockers and harassers. I've lost track how many accounts I'm on now with this site. I've lost most of them to moves and the platform mods would rather just flat out ban the account instead of letting me move with it. Mods can be quite bias as well on my neighborhoods and people are literally afraid to post unlike reddit. What's up with nextdoor it's like it's gone down hill.

What isn't corrupt about this platform? Answer:NOTHING. Corrupt top to bottom. They use community moderators that are corrupt, give out personal information, protect their minions, enjoy having power over people and banning them, allow their personal favorites to do anything they want while punishing anyone their favorites don't like or they don't like. They hide every other comment you make and your posts and make up the reasons from vague guidelines and just try and report them because you have no idea who they are. You get kicked out if you try to post about this. Your information is not safe. People report on you all the time if you try to reveal the dishonest scammers. They are protected.

Theres a handful of things why this is a horrible company. For one its a racist white america type of whatever it is. 1 star is still too much. A No star is more accurate.

No real customer support. Can't set up 2nd home account easily. Very frustrating site!

Very biased on who they restrict based on who complains. Then they want your DL to verify who you are to reinstate! No! Who are these people?

When a user doesn't like or agree with your comment they will report it. It used to be the comment was flagged and hidden. Then comes the suspensions, it's always a week or two they always say it's because the comment is disrespectful. Now someone is going back months and reporting my comments. I am now suspended for a month because I said the border was open under Biden. No one complained four months ago. There is a guy who said he reports Republicans and it makes him happy when they are permanently suspended. It must suck to be an adult and not be able to move on past comments you don't like. He has to be the big shot and in his mind he's saving others from comments he disagrees with. Most of us like to have conversations even if we don't agree but this nut job thinks it's his calling to control what people think. It's arrogants at it's finest. Women can't report a crime or someone suspicious without this douch calling them racist. This site is useless and does nothing like it was intended to. But atleast the CEO is making $42 million a year. I just read alot of the reviews. The people that want to delete your account permanently I want you to know it is not easy. A couple of years ago I was getting suspended more than I was allowed on so I told them, in writing, to delete my account. Finally I received an email back saying my account was deleted but they were keeping my posts and comments because they considered me a "Domestic Terrorist" I volunteer for the Trump Campaign and the RNC but you know more. Face it Nextdoor you hate Republicans and you hate Jews. You've showed exactly who you are. The party of tolerance is no more.

Disabled account for no reason at all! Didn't even get a chance to use the app they disabled it for suspicious activity but I did nothing wrong!

As a licensed contractor, unlike most fake wannabe on Nextdoor, I have 3 businesses accounts on Nextdoor and paid $450 per month for advertising for years. I can post 3 times per week promoting each business. The day I responded to a political post and the WOKE/CANCEL/Nextdoor DK disagree with me, my account was suspended for 5 days. No more Next...

I shared my laser art, a candle holder that I wasn’t even initially selling. I was just sharing, and that was removed by a volunteer moderator. I shared a Christmas song I wrote with mountain scenery in a slideshow on YouTube and that was removed as well. New friends I have made on the platform literally had to message me because nobody wants to talk on the platform because the volunteer moderator will come around and ban the posts. I am going to move the two groups that I have formed on Nextdoor over to Facebook and I’m going to start limiting my posting on that platform. It goes beyond limiting free speech. This platform literally has excessive moderation by inexperienced volunteer moderators and in the end the user feels like a toddler who has been put in timeout. It’s really sad because it’s such a good concept, next door. But with the over moderation, I am just not getting it. I am sorry that I will have to leave this platform. A one star joining the other 59% of people who have posted the same. Next-door, do better!

Update. Tonight after receiving a message from another next-door user saying that she also experienced over moderation, next door chose to ban me from their platform. I say good riddance I will not be back. I have never seen such a poorly managed platform in my life, I will stick with Facebook.

I had a very slim amount of good interactions ( 2 specifically) on the nextdoor app. I posted 3-4 times and EVERY single time I was bombarded with negative responses by people who clearly hadn't read my posts and just needed an aggression outlet or other comments by people 30 mins away from my neighborhood so their input was not relatable. I've had my responses altered for the goal of lack of whole context,so I come across as sharing incomplete information and unreliable in my voice to my neighbors. The scammers gang up ( at least 5) gather together in the comments to push a person out of that is standing for the rights of their community. It is a gathering page for ill intended people waiting for prey to aimlessly wander in. It has totally missed the mark in regards to bringing community together.

Nextdoor is a community of bigots and racists hiding and fanning the flames of hatred. Stay away. They also have monitors who turn of your ability to reply or post. An extremely biased website. Don’t support this nonsense.

Just the worst. Only for people to complain, I had a post at Christmas asking for donations to fill backpacks for local homeless kids and the mods deleted it for "personal fundraising" Shouldn't the whole purpose be to help neighbors?

I’d give zero stars if that was an option. I posted a very heartfelt plea to the community to offer ideas how to assist a family during a horrific time. As usual, there are the naysayers who need to know every grueling detail before committing to being supportive. I explained that compassion and support of a mother and child shouldn’t have, ‘conditions’. It got out of control. People can be cruel sometimes. I closed the post to further comments to protect the family from reading the nasty, judgmental comments. Today I discovered that MY ACCOUNT has been suspended indefinitely because of some things they did not explain. Nextdoor.com , in my opinion, is nothing more than a tightly controlled website that censors your every word.
