We have found this service as invaluable really as have not needed to once chase or complain, have always been informed of delays and with the weekly updates has really been a very good experience.
The initial sales process with New Home…
The initial sales process with New Home Solutions was positive. Everything after offer acceptance fell well below expectation.
Sales progression was poorly managed
- I had to chase for updates throughout
- Communication was delayed, often not until late afternoon
- Information was inconsistent and changed without explanation
- Three agreed exchange and completion dates were missed
When these dates were missed, there was no proactive call or update. I had to follow up myself to understand what had happened.
Advice that made things worse
I was advised to reduce my sale price to speed up the transaction.
I agreed on the basis it would accelerate exchange and completion.
What followed:
- The buyer’s mortgage needed to be amended
- This added roughly two weeks to the timeline
Result:
- Lower sale price
- Longer process
This should have been anticipated before advising a price reduction.
Lack of ownership
- Emails were often forwarded as “FYI” with no commentary or action
- I had to prompt basic tasks such as chasing solicitors and progressing the survey
- The process felt unmanaged, with the buyer dictating pace
I escalated this to management and requested a change of sales progressor. There was a short improvement, but no lasting change.
When I raised further complaints, these were not addressed by management.
Impact
- Significant delays beyond the original six-week expectation
- Considerable personal time required to manage the process
- Ongoing uncertainty caused by repeatedly changing dates
For comparison, the sales progressor on my onward purchase was proactive and drove the transaction forward. That contrast highlights what was missing here.
Overall
A disappointing experience. The lack of control, missed deadlines, and poor communication meant I had to manage much of the process myself.
I am now escalating this matter to The Property Ombudsman.
I would not use New Home Solutions again based on this experience.

We’ve had a really positive experience throughout our house sale, and a big part of that is down to Helen Dyson.
Helen has been an absolute asset to the process from start to finish. She’s been proactive with updates, consistently chasing all parties to keep things moving, and stepping in to help navigate and negotiate when needed. In what can be a stressful and uncertain process, she’s been a calm, reliable point of contact throughout.
Her communication has been clear and timely, and it’s obvious she genuinely cares about progressing things and getting the best outcome for everyone involved.
We’re really grateful for all of her support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

We have recently sold our house with New home solutions, and can honestly say we have received outstanding costumer service with the whole team but especially Karly who has been so friendly and informative throughout the whole process updating my self and my partner daily! Our house sold within days of been listed with new home solutions and we couldn’t be any more great full with all the help we received from Karly explaining everything so simply making the whole process so much less stressful.

Bloor Homes Assisted Move
I used New Home Solutions as part of an assisted move in conjunction with Bloor Homes. My property was listed with them as well as two local estate agents, yet they were the only ones who generated consistent viewings and ultimately secured a sale.
Although the buyer’s solicitors proved to be quite challenging, this was completely outside of their control. Throughout the process, Helen Dyson was incredibly proactive and persistent in following things up, helping to keep everything moving and ensuring we successfully reached completion.
Great at the start then start guessing what happens next!

No information
No communication

Such a shame I do not know why they stopped communicating.
They even changed the price of my house without telling me… I found out online! That was an unpleasant surprise!
In addition to this shockingly poor performance when entering my home onto Rightmove no one could find it! You would have had to have known the FULL post code! Not even adding in the area code could you find it with miles added could you find it. Unbelievable!
I do not understand why the first class customer service went to silence?
Use this company at your peril.
