My wife and I just completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek (ACT) with Nepal Hiking Team, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.

Before choosing an agency, we did extensive research—reaching out only to companies with the highest number of excellent reviews. We contacted all of them with our planned itinerary. Among them, Ganga, the owner of Nepal Hiking Team, stood out immediately. He was incredibly responsive, patiently answered every question, offered thoughtful suggestions, and helped us fine-tune our trek down to the smallest details. During the hike, we realized just how valuable every piece of his advice was. That’s what convinced us to choose Nepal Hiking Team over the others.

From the moment we met our guide Paban at the airport, we knew we had made the right choice. Paban was nothing short of amazing—attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. He secured the best tea house rooms in advance, saved us a good spot at dinner, ensured we were eating, drinking, and resting properly, and prioritized our safety throughout the trek. His care and dedication truly made our trip unforgettable.

We’re deeply thankful to Ganga, Paban, and the entire Nepal Hiking Team for making our trek perfect, and we will definitely choose them again for our next adventure in Nepal.

We successfully completed the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trekking (12-day) with Nepal Hiking Team (NHT) from 7th April 2025 to 22nd April 2025. Two days on either side were for preparation and rest - contingency planning if required.

Firstly, we wholeheartedly convey our thanks to the owner, Ganga Thapa (Ganga Ji) and our guide, Arjun Dahal. We cannot forget our two porters (Aash Kumar Rai and Janam Rai) - who lifted heavy duffel bags from location to location, making our lives easier.

The NHT made our experience easy by lifting any burden from us, as well as answering any questions we had promptly. We were impressed by the efficient communication and organisation shown by the entire NHT. This was the cornerstone for our successful completion of the EBC.

Our health was very important to Arjun, who completed his health checks on us to ensure we were not suffering from a lack of oxygen.

Arjun is very experienced and would have confidence in recommending his to anyone thinking about trekking the EBC route. The porters, are the silent, work-horses who do all the hard work so that we can have an easier life. We really appreciated all their efforts.

We were also provided with a down-jacket, -20 degrees celsius sleeping bag and duffel bag (gifted at the end of the trek).

Things did not always go to plan. However, what was important was how well things were handled by the NHT (Ganga Ji, Arjun, Aash and Janam).

We have no hesitation in recommending the NHT to anyone wishing to complete the EBC trekking.

Had the adventure of a lifetime on the Everest Trek. Arjun Dahal are guide was brilliant we felt very safe in his hands, and had great knowledge. A pleasure to be in his company. Are porter Jeevan was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to them we achieved our goals. We will never forget the trip

As newbies to Nepal, we wanted to book with a reputable company to provide that initial security. Just because of the unknown of a new land. What we got was simply the best possible service and we quickly felt extremely comfortable in this amazing country. The Nepal Hiking Team were professional, courteous and looked to enhance your experiences at every opportunity. Customer satisfaction is extremely important for them and they demonstrated constant care throughout the 3 weeks we had with them. The 3 weeks covered trekking to ABC, a few days in Pokhara, on to Chitwan for a breath-taking jungle tour with an overnight in the tower in the jungle before ending the trip back in the bustling capital of Kathmandu. Every step of the way, they were on time, provided additional options when requested and made our stay in Nepal better than our expectations. Great rooms (even on the ABC trek), clear agenda and easy customisation of our trip. Many many thanks to Ganga and the whole team - porters, guides, drivers, hotel staff, kitchen staff and all. Special thanks to Paban and Govinda who were our guides to Annapurna Base Camp - clearly the highlight - and they made me and my partner feel at ease, exercised patience and experience and contributed to the all-round team camaraderie. We shall be back to book with NHT on a new trek next year :)

Nepal Hiking Team organised a rather complicated 30 day bespoke holiday for me and a friend: two schoolfriends now in our late 70's.

We asked to be taken ,first, up the Langtang valley, then to the Chinwan nature reserve, then to Pokhara and then to Poon Hill.

When booking something like this there is always some worry about whether you are dealing with an honest and reliable organisation but these worries evaporated when we arrived at our hotel in Kathmandu and were greeted by Ganga and our guide Ram. We were given travel bags, jackets and sleeping bags all of which were to be carried by a so-called "porter."

I should explain here that a "porter" is an unbelievably strong Gurkha who can carry up to 50kgs of baggage up and down mountains and through rivers, with the entire weight being supported on his head by a piece of plastic webbing cut from an agricultural sack; and without anyone giving him any credit for this unbelievable skill.

From the quality of the equipment it was immediatelly apparent that we were dealing with a highly responsible organisation who knew what they were doing. This impression was reinforced throughout the holiday. Ganga was always available on the phone when we had queries and was always happy to make changes to the schedule when we requested it.

The guide, Ram, was clearly a top man in his profession: our Langtang hike was frustrated by terrible weather and landslides. which destroyed bridges and the return path. Many people in Nepal perished but Ram was cleverly able to find a route back for us which involved a day climbing above the landslides and then half-sliding back down again along an improvised route. At all times, Ram, being aware of my advanced years, was ready to catch me should I fall!

Transport between the different locations was always efficiently arranged including a flight from Pokhara back to Kathmandu.

In conclusion, I have no hesitation in recommending Nepal Hiking Team for a safe, reliable but adventurous trip to Nepal.

I have booked the EBC and back through CholaPass trek with NHT. Prakash Sapkota has been my guide. I think he did an outstanding job in explaining the treks, sharing the stories of the mountains and subtly weighing and assessing my general health condition. He was friendly and dependable. Manaslu Circuit Trek was one of the best experience of my life! I went during June where the weather was fantastic everyday. Special thanks to Ganga for calming my nerves.

Let’s start with ‘outstanding’ and work up from there.
From booking, pre travel, on arrival, transport, staff, guide and porter. Everything was amazing. They anticipated our needs and exceeded our expectations by a long way. Extra blankets, no problem, you want to change itinerary, no problem, you want specific food, no problem (even up a mountain!).
When I needed assistance they sorted it, assisted me and continued to assist my friend.
Absolutely brilliant service from Mr Ganga. Paban is an amazing guide and Ram, our porter, is unbelievable.

Our Everest base camp trek was postponed for a year and a half because of COVID-19 and I guess for us that was a good thing because we had time to research for a different and better company. After contacting many different agencies it was a very easy choice - Nepal Hiking Team! Ganga (the manager) responded promptly to all of our questions and emails! We were given all the necessary information prior to our trip which made things run smoothly from the very beginning!

Bhim, our guide, was FANTASTIC! He was knowledgeable, extremely funny and very cautious and helpful! We had the most wonderful time trekking to EBC and because of Bhim I had the confidence we would make it despite the little obstacles with altitude sickness and uncontrolled weather!

All lodges were great (keep in mind that the higher you go in the mountain, the less amenities) and the food everywhere was delicious!

I highly recommend the company, our perfect guide and the whole trip! It is well worth it and don’t think twice!

I can't say enough good things about Nepal Hiking Team. I was very impressed with the services provided by the company which exceeded our expectations. We did the 14 day Everest Base Camp trek and from the beginning to the end, the whole team’s commitment to customer service was outstanding. This was evident starting with Ganja’s email communications on the status of our tour with the ever-changing COVID restrictions and continuing even post-trek on the required PCR testing requirement in which Ganja arranged for the test to be performed at our hotel.

The trek to ECB was both the most challenging & most rewarding thing we've ever done. Our experience was enhanced by our guide, Arun, and porter, Derba, who both went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and accommodated our every need. They allowed us to hike at our own pace and were never in a rush. We always felt safe and immensely enjoyed our ECB trekking experience due to their guidance, expertise and professionalism.

Nepal Hiking Team is a fabulous company and I highly recommend them to other hikers.

Ganga was absolutely fantastic - reliable, helpful, always accessible. Nothing was too much trouble. I spoke to several other operators, but Ganga stood out hands down. We wanted to tailor our itinerary and go off-the beaten track. We managed to get to places we would never manage to with a standardised tour. Our hiking guide Hari was a particular gem.

I love how the company employed locals and had organised channels for giving back to the communities that the tours operated through. If you want to have a really local experience and support the local people, this really is the best option. Could not recommend it more highly. We had such a great time.

Having recently completed the Everest Base Camp Trek with the Nepal Hiking Team, I would just like to say, what an excellent team they were.
From our first meeting at the airport in Kathmandu until we left 18 days later, nothing was to much trouble.
Our Guide Raj, and the two porters for our group were excellent, always providing the best service without complaint and a smile, he was great company too and an excellent photographer. Some of the best photographs of our journey were taken by him and shared with the group.
The accommodation and food provided from beginning to end far exceeded our expectations.
This was an amazing adventure made even better by the Nepal Hiking Team, we were made comfortable, welcome and happy all along the way and nothing was too much trouble for Guide Raj.
If you're considering a visit to Nepal, I would highly recommend this company and all it's wonderful staff.
Whether it's one of the many treks available or just a guided tour of Kathmandu, you won't be disappointed.
We also had a guided tour of some of the most important temples in Kathmandu and Raj was knowledgeable and again great company.

Great trip!! A little nervous at first when I landed but was greeted at the airport by Ganja. The trek was amazing. I went solo and had an excellent guide Surya who took good care of me, I still keep in touch with him. I was felt safe and that I was in good hands. it was great after an all day trek to get to the lodge and have every arranged for me as I was wiped out. I did start feeling a little sick on the way down not on the way up so I knew it wasn't altitude sickness. So I told Surya I might need an extra day to trek back to Lukla and he notified Ganja who then changed my flight and arranged it for me. Everything went as smooth as possible. Definitely recommend using Nepal Hiking Team.
