MyPocketSkill is a great way to earn money whilst working on your own terms and hours, and as a bonus, the staff are very helpful and friendly in helping you secure a booking! 10/10 would recommend to anyone starting / in uni as you can balance this with your studies

Amazing concept for quality, affordable tuition. We have found a fantastic saxophone tutor for our son on here - Isabella (Izzy). Great platform getting young people earning and developing their soft skills too. My son; though only 11; can't wait to offer tuition on here in the future.

Never got what I paid for despite escalating the fact. Some photographers are complete amateurs and deliver poor quality work

I am very satisfied with this platform and highly recommend it to everyone! It is easy to find clients here, and all the people I have worked with have been wonderful and easy to collaborate with. MyPocketSkill is also a great way to earn some extra money. The team is very supportive and focused on making the whole process smooth and comfortable.

Took 2 months for this site to pay me. As a service claiming to provide a quick and easy way for young people to work and earn money I think this is unacceptable treatment. To make matters worse, I had to chase them up at least 5 times for them to actually release the payment for the job I had completed months before. Many treat the parents and student users well, but certainly not the young people working to provide the services they offer - very poor.

I worked on this platform for a few years and I have had a wonderful experience!
The MPS team is readily available and supportive throughout your journey, regardless of how young or experienced you are. It has been very valuable to earn on MPS, while still being able to focus on my studies.
I highly recommend it to young people who want to work flexibly, want experience and want to earn money.

I’ve been working on this platform as a young platform since its early days and it’s amazing to see the way it’s gone from strength to strength. The platform provides a safe space for young people to earn good money in a variety of fields with clients who have been checked by the platform making it safe for young people. If I’ve ever had a problem the MyPocketSkill team have always been fast and efficient in helping me and resolving it quickly. I totally recommend this platform for anyone…. Client or Young Person. If you’re looking for someone, at a good price too, to tutor your child, help out with your social media, photograph an event, and more there is such an amazing array of talent on the platform. And if you’re a young person, there are so many opportunities that the platform can give you to earn money from skills you have already whilst doing so in a safe environment.

Invaluable in getting my son into first choice uni to study biochemistry. My year 13 son had weekly tutoring in A level biology (from a medical undergrad) and chemistry (from a chemistry undergrad) weekly from September 24 to June 25. The platform is user friendly and straightforward and the two tutors have been fantastic. Always on time and well prepared. My son looked forward to the sessions and benefited hugely from their tutoring. Highly highly recommend. Particularly great as he has dyslexia which makes revision more difficult. The weekly sessions meant he stayed on track, gave him support with particular topics when needed and gave him loads on past paper practice.

Great support from admin staff, friendly clients, and useful resources provided for tutors for the financial education programme. Note that it can sometimes be difficult to find clients (especially in the summer!) and there can be problems regarding payments, but otherwise it is a good tutoring service.

I was really excited about the whole idea. I paid for an hour arrange the teams meeting etc. however I feel that the information I was given and communication was not actually great. The whole process was about money and not what I wanted . I was offered advice that I already knew and all they did was look at my social media and tell me to do new videos , reels etc. I don’t feel that it was worth the money I feel it’s very misleading I paid for the hour never even bothered doing the meeting as I felt it would be a waste of time. Luckily I didn’t sign up for the package. It’s not a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend using the services. The company just kept asking me to sign up too the online package for the month very pushy unprofessional. I would avoid at all costs

My Pocket Skill is a fantastic way to connect customers with perhaps smaller budgets to young people who are starting out in their profession. We were matched with an exceptionally talented photographer who did a stellar job photographing our wedding ceremony. And I would not hesitate in using MPS again. And I am reccomending our photographer wherever I can.

As a digital marketer for a year on this platform, I had no idea what to do or where to go. But the MPS team walked me through it all and now I have the confidence to take these skills even further into so many different industries!

My recent experience with MyPocketSkill has been frustrating from start to finish. The platform claims to support young people and families, but when something goes wrong, there is zero accountability.

After completing the verification and booking process, a lesson was cancelled without any notice or explanation. I reached out for support immediately, but no one responded for days. Despite this, the platform still took the payment — and instead of resolving the issue, they sent me an automated email asking me to rate the lesson… a lesson that never even happened.

To make matters worse, I was never refunded, and when I finally did receive a response, it was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Rather than owning the mistake, they passed blame onto third parties and even told me to review their community guidelines — which felt like a way to deflect responsibility rather than offer a solution.

There is a clear lack of professionalism, manners, and customer service. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially for a platform that promotes itself as trustworthy and youth-focused. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before relying on this service.

This is such a fabulous website and has helped my daughter immensely. The young tutor we chose is perfect for my 11 year old daughter. She finds it easier to connect with her and enjoys the lessons!

We signed up to mypocketskills to find a tutor for our 6 year old. We put a post of what we're looking for. Receive a see of messages took a while to sort though but found a nice young lady, she did a great job, I would recommend.

Easy to use and useful

It's a great wait to make money as a young person with a plentiful amount of opportunities. I would give it a 5 star review if the £25 cash top-up that is offered was truly given.

When the time came to book a photographer for our Wedding Party, I came across MyPocketSkill. I posted a brief quickly, asking for a local photographer who would be happy to pop to the venue for a few hours. Mo, our photographer, got in touch straight away and offered a fantastic price. The whole conversation was facilitated by MyPocketSkill and once I had booked, I paid the money to them, to release to Mo once the job was done. The whole thing was a breeze - I felt everything was really safe and secure, and we definitely hit upon a talent wishing to gain experience whilst saving us money in the process. Would completely recommend.

Very good platform for finding young people with skills to do a job. In our case we found a videographer and they did a fantastic video of our wedding!
