Terrible experience
Terrible experience. I had to restart my course multiple times even though I was almost finished because of obvious technical issues on their website. Customer service was completely unhelpful and felt like nothing but AI responses. I was constantly blamed for problems that were clearly on their end. The site is full of bugs, I wasted hours of my time, and never got proper support. Would not recommend.

Extremely frustrating experience
Extremely frustrating experience. After spending hours completing roughly 80% of the NY defensive driving course, I was suddenly locked out due to a failed “security check.” Due to an honest spelling mistake. I contacted support immediately and was told my progress could not be restored, meaning I would have to restart the entire course from the beginning.
I understand the need for verification, but losing hours of completed work with no way to recover progress is unreasonable when I've done majority of the course in good faith. Very disappointing customer support and an unacceptable policy. I would recommend choosing any other course provider if you don't want your time wasted.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must have been to lose your progress after investing so much time in the course. Schools are required to follow DMV guidelines, which include identity verification checks to ensure course integrity and compliance. If these checks are not passed, the system may require a restart in order to meet regulatory requirements. However, we understand how disappointing this can be.
We’ve contacted you via email to assist further. You can also reach us at support@myimprov.com if you have any additional questions.

Course navigation was clunky and difficult to move forward at times. Couldn't complete the course either due to password issues which they couldn't reset and told me I would have to re-do the entire course from the beginning. Too bad because content was pretty good up to that point.

The course itself is easy
The course itself is easy, however the constant verification system is terrible. They use both facial recognition and security questions which time out in 45 seconds. Good luck when your internet connection is weak.
I have to start from the beginning and I was 2/3 done.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the frustration caused by the verification process and having to restart the course.
For DMV-approved defensive driving courses, regulations require identity verification (such as facial recognition and security questions) to ensure the course is completed by the registered student. These checks are mandated to maintain compliance and course validity, but we understand they can be challenging, especially with time limits or unstable connections.
We appreciate you sharing your experience and thank you for choosing IMPROVLearning.
