Good sales
Good sales, but shocking post-sale service.
My overall experience with Motorpoint has been terrible, and I strongly advise anyone to think twice before buying here. I will never buy anything from them again.
The only positive:
The buying process was stress-free. No sales pressure, plenty of time for a test drive, and the younger staff members were relaxed and easygoing.
The reality after the sale: ABSOLUTE ZERO COMMUNICATION.
The moment you sign, everything changes. Their post-sale communication is non-existent. They constantly promise callbacks but never deliver. During my multiple visits to chase them (a massive waste of my time and energy), they tried to act polite, but you could tell they just wanted to get rid of you.
I experienced numerous issues, but here are the main ones:
Dirty car & ignored window defect: At handover, the car was dirty, so I had to return days later for a valet. I also reported a broken window button (leaving a note in the car and reminding reception). They said it would take 40-60 minutes. I returned 1.5 hours later; the cleaning was poor, and the window hadn't even been looked at. Only after I complained did they take the car and fix it in 15 minutes. It was an easy fix, but they chose to ignore it and waste my time.
Sold with a dangerous tire: Just 1.5 weeks after purchase, the car failed its MOT due to a damaged tire. Motorpoint tried to blame me, but I proved this defect was already flagged as an MOT advisory a year earlier. Only then did they agree to pay for the replacement, causing me massive stress.
1.5-month AC repair delay: When my AC broke, they ignored all my emails and calls. I had to drive to the showroom multiple times just for updates, wasting my time... They blamed the warranty company and only acted after I sent a formal complaint. I was left driving in scorching heat with no AC for a month and a half.
There were many more issues, but these highlight their complete lack of care once they have your money.
If you buy from them, be aware that if anything breaks, you will wait forever, get absolutely zero communication, and have to fight for everything yourself.
All the slogans and promises they proudly display on their posters inside the showroom mean absolutely nothing. What they write on those walls about customer service and what they actually deliver in reality are two completely different things.
The only reason I chose them was because they were local and close to me, but I strongly advise against making the same mistake. Sometimes, it is much better to drive a bit further to another dealer and be guaranteed better customer service and actual peace of mind. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Regarding the issues you've raised, it's important to clarify that repairs covered under warranty must follow a specific process. In many cases, claims require assessment, authorisation and approval from the warranty provider before any work can be carried out. While this can sometimes affect timescales, we recognise that this should not prevent customers from receiving regular updates and clear communication throughout the process.
We note your comments regarding the vehicle preparation, window switch repair, tyre concern, and the air conditioning fault. Whilst we're pleased these issues were ultimately addressed, we understand that the delays and the effort required on your part to obtain updates left you feeling unsupported. That is certainly not the experience we want customers to have.
We take all customer feedback seriously, as it helps us identify where our processes and communication can be improved. Although the warranty process involves third-party authorisation, we fully appreciate that from a customer's perspective, you expect us to manage the process effectively and keep you informed throughout.
We're sorry that on this occasion we fell short of those expectations and that your overall impression of our aftersales service was so disappointing. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention, and we wish you all the best with your motoring in the future.

Extremely slow service, poor communication
We arrived at my scheduled appointment time of 12:00pm, only to be left waiting for 45 minutes while the car was being valeted. Not sure what the point is with having a booking system if you still made to be sat waiting!!! After returning at the designated collection time, I then had to wait a further 40 minutes to complete the vehicle tax and registration paperwork.
We found the service to be extremely slow and poorly organised. Had we been informed in advance that the process would take the entire afternoon, we would have considered purchasing my car elsewhere. We appreciate that some delays can occur, but the lack of communication and excessive waiting time made the experience very disappointing.
Overall, we are very dissatisfied with the level of service we received today and would definitely think twice before returning back here

Why I go back to Motorpoint
Made an appointment to see the car with a view to buying it. Everything was ready and I was given plenty of time to look the car over. Paperwork was quick and simple as finance was sorted. Very good service from Shannon, a star of the future, nothing was too much trouble.
