Car wouldn't start
Car wouldn't start. Awkward spot, miles from home and on my own. Excellent service straight from my phone call for help. Response time was brilliant recovery there in under 15 minutes. All the staff involved were informative, reassuring, helpful and lovely to speak with. Cannot reccomend them enough. Got me started in 5 mins to get me to the garage for a new battery. Thank you Gem!

Well done GEM
Unfortunately I’ve had to call GEM on two occasions in the last 8 months, 1st time gearbox failure on my motorhome which necessitated recovery some 80 miles to my garage,the second time due to battery failure,fortunately a jump start was all that was required.
I must say each time GEM acted immediately with no hesitation. I’ve been a member now for over 10 years , covering car,motorhome and motorbike

Excellent service when I broke down on…
Excellent service when I broke down on the M5 last week. It took 2h for the vehicle to arrive, but this was made clear from the outset, is pretty standard, and I had regular calls to ensure that we stayed in touch. The vehicle was loaded promptly and the driver helped me push it into my garage when we arrived. I’ve used the service twice before, and it remains hassle-free and reassuring. Strongly recommended.

From the first phone call to being recovered a great experience. Everyone was pleasant and informative. Didn't have to wait long (all with in the specified time) the car was on the recovery vehicle. My wife having vision and balance issues M4 Rescue and Recovery went the extra mile with their help. Would definitely recommend them!

First time I have broken down in years…
First time I have broken down in years and I am so pleased that I had cover with this fantastic company. 5 stars from me, don't hesitate to buy breakdown cover with them.
Long and short, I had a tyre blowout at just gone midnight. On my own, dark country roads so I got to a lit area and used the app to call assistance. The app is excellent but maybe quicker to have phoned. I'm old! The app also tracks the responding breakdown vehicle and constantly updates you on the arrival and when he reached me, well it couldn't have been a nicer guy. So I waited one hour for him to get to me, 20 minutes for the tyre change (and a teaching session at my request so I can try myself in future) but I doubt I would as I suspect I'd end up dropping it on its axle. He really was the proverbial night in shining armour! I was on my way on a space saving tyre in no time. I just have the painful job of buying a new one this morning!
Also to say that an operator also called me to ensure that the company had arrived with me and everyone I have spoken to this morning to ensure that the breakdown guy got my positive feedback has been equally as helpful.
So nice to know these people exist. Thank you!

GEM to the rescue
Wife's car stuck in the drive and would not start. Called GEM who sent a mechanic within an hour or so who could not get it to start either. So a breakdown truck had to be called. A little bit of confusion requiring another call to Gem, resolved the problem and the truck arrived shortly after. It was not an easy job to get the car off the drive and onto the truck. I was very impressed with the way he managed it, and it was soon on its way to my local garage.
Within an hour or so later I received a call from GEM to
enquire whether all was well with the pickup.
Excellent service from all. Well done.

A win-win within a couple of days!
We recently had to call out GEM twice within one week and both times the service was excellent. My own car had developed a broken spring overnight and could not be driven so we had it towed literally round the corner to our garage. A couple of days later my wife's car broke down about 10 miles from home. In spite of very poor mobile phone reception in the latter case, the girl on the phone was extremely patient, persistent and helpful. On both occasions we received a follow up call within the hour to check on how recovery was going. Both garages arrived bang on time. Excellent service from everyone involved. Thank you!

Car wouldnt start
Car wouldnt start, I contacted GEM and was answered immediatly. The handler was super and put me at ease by explaining the procedure. a mobile mechanic was sent to us and got the engine started,[low battery], he asked me some questions about how the car is used, mainly short journeys. the battery and alternator was checked and passed OK. he recommended a good run once a week to keep the battery fully charged. A1 service from GEM and A1 breakdown mechanic.
