Angola was a wonderful destination: beautiful natural sites, wonderful cities, interesting culture. The itinerary was a perfect mix of all the elements and activities that one would want to do in Angola. Logistics were very well handled, including domestic flights and bus rides (even if some were long and bumpy, since we were warned in advance). The hotels were fine - completely satisfactory 3 star hotels. Group meals were very good - well researched and appropriate for everyone. The Angolan tour partner Eco Tur was exceptional - their guides were knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and expert troubleshooters. They did a stellar job of coordinating our itinerary and getting us from place to place. Lex Hes is an excellent Tour Leader, adding value to the program with his knowledge (especially of wildlife) and his good relationship with the local tour provider.
Angola is a “new” destination, so that makes it all the more impressive that this trip was delivered so expertly. Great job, Miru, Lex and Eco Tur (especially Paul, Bruno and Kikus). I’m so happy that I did this trip with you!

Great itinerary, great leaders, lovely hotels, fantastic food and, Morocco is a spectacularly beautiful country.

beginning with our stay at The Okura in Tokyo, our second journey to Japan under the guidance of Miru was flawless.

Variety of locations and accommodations.

We had a wonderful well-rounded experience of Morocco. We liked the mixture of bigger cities to quieter ones.Shirley and Madoni were great guides finding us wonderful places to eat and we stayed in some of the most remarkable places. Our favorites were the Sahara and Chefchaouen but we still couldn't believe seeing Spain so close. All the adventures through the medinas were amazing and I wouldn't want to do it without a guide or map! We also enjoyed the Roman ruins at Volupilis and it may have been Beni Mallel but we stopped at a Kasbah to climb to the top and then ate at a independent women's co-op where they were making life on their own. All our experiences were truly enriching. Even being pampered at Kasbah Tamadot was a wonderful treat in the middle to rejuvenate!

This trip covered a lot of ground, from the Saharan desert to the Atlas mountains to the central plains to the coast, exploring the peoples, histories and cultures of each in turn. I believe we experienced as much of Morocco as one possibly could during a trip of this duration. Travel with Shirley Campbell is always a delight. Even though this was the first excursion to Morocco that she has led, we benefited a great deal from her knowledge and preparations; perhaps on future trips a means can be found for her to present a lecture or two along the way. Highly recommended for an explorer's first visit to a fascinating and beautiful place. And the food was spectacular!

Everything was just first class. With our group size, all the decision making was taken out of the trip which led to just having fun and enjoying the adventure. Convenience was at a premium. Boats came to the resort shore, food was on the table and delicious, and buses comfortable and spacious. Sam was particularly knowledgeable, communicative and always thinking about us and our comfort. He was amazing! I particularly liked that we donated supplies to a local school - the highlight of the trip. Loved it!

The attention to detail was perfection. MIRU thinks of everything and allowed us to have complete trust in their ability to host and lead us on this journey was unmatched.

I can't say enough about Sam, he truly LIVES his passion and that simply spills out to his guests. The knowledge and the passion are of course, amazing, but his empathy and concern for not only our planet and animals, but the crew he was hosting was just phenomenal. I'd go anywhere with Sam.

The trip was totally organized, smooth and exceptionally beautiful. Sam always gave a thoughtful recap of the day and let us all know what was upcoming for the next events which always seemed to be mind blowing and exceptional. The extension of the Puma tracking was one of the most unbelievable wildlife encounters I have ever experienced. The hike through Patagonia was breath taking and so well organized. Then the trip to Antartica was the trip of a lifetime.

My experience was everything that I had hoped for and much more. Our guide, Sam Riley, was perfect for this adventure. He was well prepared, very knowledgeable and a true delight of a human.

It was magical--the trip of a lifetime! Miru (and our guide, Sam) was exceptional at not only planning the most exceptional, amazing trip to Antarctica but also creating two pre-extensions to accommodate our specific goals and dreams, including Puma tracking and a week long hike on the W Trek in Torres del Paine in Patagonia. We loved every minute of this perfectly orchestrated trip to Paradise!!!

We enjoyed our Antarctica adventure very much. The Quark Explorer ship’s crew were educated and knowledgeable regarding the history, geography and all forms of animal and aquatic life. Our guide, Sam Riley, was extremely well-versed in the all aspects of the Antarctica experience as well as an excellent photographer. We enjoyed his lectures which included photos of the trip. He was always available to answer questions and make sure all our needs were met. I would HIGHLY recommend joining a trip with Sam as a guide.

What can amazing trip! There were multiple changes with our flights but Miru took the stress out of those changes. We appreciated the advance communication and the detailed itinerary. Our lead Sam Riley was fantastic; I was concerned about the excursions but he put us completely at ease and we didn’t miss a thing. His local hiking crew in Patagonia were also amazing

Two words: Sam Riley. Absolutely stellar guide in every way. Smart, organized, caring, engaged, fun, inclusive, astounding depth of knowledge, top notch people skills. Sam made every adventure memorable. He made us all feel safe and energized us to be our best adventurers. His love for nature was infectious, his endless scientific knowledge was inspiring. We would travel to the ends of the earth with Sam Riley.

I loved this trip bec. we got to see three quite different locations. It was wonderful to see Gorongosa and have the access we had to special activities. I was also quite pleased with Chicari Camp- better than I expected. Great to travel with Rich and Chris, who added to the local guides vast knowledge.

Excellent guiding by Miru leaders and local guide. They optimized each of us viewing an animal/ bird.Well planned itinerary that left us wanting to stay longer at each location. Maximized opportunities to view wildlife everywhere offering early morning, midday & evening options. Would go again!
