They keep on scamming their custommers

They keep on scamming their custommers. I have tried to get in contact with them for 4 months now with no solution in sight. They keep ignoring EU law and makes up their own rules, even their own website contradicts what they're saying. No help in sight and I am left with a dead product after a few months. WORST company ever

Terrible experience

Bought a Minisforum UM690 on 4th May 2024 from Amazon.co.uk & the unit developed a fault in August 2024.

The machine would randomly & without warning shut off.

This was a high spec machine - AMD Ryzen 7 6800U with Radeon Graphics 2.70 GHz, 32.0 GB RAM (29.7 GB usable) & 1TB SSD.

Contacted Minisforum support & they we terrible to deal with.

They would not provide a replacement unit of equal spec & wanted me to pay for a similar machine with lower spec. Scammers.

Back & forth over 8 months & no resolution.

They DO NOT adhere to their own warranty.

Have no option left now but to go to the Small Claims Court.

AVOID MinisForum.

Bad ordering and delivery experience

In October I bought a UM750L Slim, for a Windows 11 upgrade project. I compared the device to a similar model from another company - and the Minisforum came out on top. Minisforum asked me to write a review on my experience, which (apart from waiting two weeks for the product was very positive).
On the back of this, I ordered seven more on 10 Nov. The order was stated as 'shipping by end of November'. Full payment was taken on 11th Nov
Its the 29th Nov, and a shipment has been sent - but only 3 of the machines. the order status is 'partially fullfilled'. Order UK9002.
In addition, Fedex have stated I need to pay £64 import duty (machines should be duty free) for this partial shipment.
I have messaged the company five times, and used their online message system twice to ask for an invoice. But all emails are ignored, which is a shame, as for the first order they were very responsive.
Im happy to update this review if/when things improve.

UPDATE a WEEK LATER: several emails between us this week, but back and forth with me providing the Imprt Duty receipt I paid many times - including messages from Minisforum stating 'do you need to pay this, and please send the receipt' (their email incuded a JPG of my message with the receipt payment conformation). But all gone quiet now. No reimbursenment of this duty to date !
Second shipment of the same order (according to Fedex) was received on 1 Dec, and due to me on 5 Dec.
Not received, but now says Monday 8th.

So, sorry guys, still at 1 star, due to the product not being of value (given the additional import) and now nearly a month after ordering.

Minisforum refused warranty replacement — demanded illegal "depreciation" fee

I purchased a Minisforum MS-01 Mini PC, which developed a CMOS battery fault after about 6 months. I replaced the battery myself, but the fault reoccurred just before 12 months.

I contacted support, and they approved a return for a replacement — with no mention of any fees. After delays and poor communication, they received the returned unit and then demanded a £71 depreciation fee, later dropping to £50, to replace the faulty unit.

This is completely against UK consumer law, where faults within 6 months are presumed to have been present at sale, entitling the customer to a free repair or replacement.

Even worse, I later found that Minisforum's own warranty policy (effective March 1, 2025) promises a 2-year warranty for products bought through their official store — with no depreciation fees for warranty replacements of defective goods.

Their own policy states:

Customers must pay shipping for returns after 30 days, but Minisforum covers replacement shipping.

Depreciation fees only apply for refunds, not warranty replacements.

Completely unacceptable experience — poor communication, shifting goalposts, and refusal to honour both consumer law and their own warranty terms.

Formal complaints submitted to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, and visible community warning issued on Reddit and other platforms.

If you expect a company to honour warranties properly, Minisforum is not a safe choice.

Wow, what an utterly terrible experience - do not buy from Minisforum UK

Update 21st April 2025 - That's right folks...situation is still on going! Here is the current update. My returned item is still waiting at the Parcelforce pickup point they gave me as the return address, has been for over a week. They have (finally) refunded me the £28.57 for the customs charge via PayPal, but that has included a £1.70 Paypal fee, so I actually got £26.87. Thanks Minisforum for another mess up. As for the actual refund of my item, they are "awaiting the money to be transfered and then will refund me" whatever that means, I guess their "parent company" needs to send them the money to then send to me. I am sure that will also have a PayPal fee. I'll update this again in due course.

Update 9th April 2025 - I managed to convince Parcel force to delivery the item amazingly. So now I am on to the pain of a return. THEY STILL have not refund my CUSTOMS fee on delivery as they said they would - they keep ignoring me when I asked and email once a day max, if at all.
They are asking me to return the item to:
Consignee:MG + Yousaf
Address:33 Charles Avenue, Beeston, Lenton Abbey, Nottingham
Zip code:NG9 2SH
Which, if you check Google maps, is...a random house in England with no associated business :/ they also say I will get a refund once it "returns to our warehouse", which I believe is going to be Germany. I have no hope of this actually arriving with them. Their email also says "once we receive your item we will send a replacement" despite there now being 70+ email where I have said in every one that I want a refund. Honestly, I'd rather jump off a cliff than deal with these people.

Update 7th April 2025 - Still no item delivered, still no refund, an example of their email this morning:
"Thank you for your letter.

We apologise for not replying to you in time. Sincerely hope that we can have a friendly negotiation via email. Please be assured that we will definitely refund for you. Your refund is in progress with us."

Update 3rd April 2025 - Their customer service team have asked for my address multiple times, my customs invoice twice, so they aren't really reading my emails. They have finally admitted they put an incomplete address on the shipping label at least. However, they have told me that I will not recieve a refund until DHL (Shipping co) do an automatic return to sender - this could take literally months, so I will be without my money because of Minisforum mistake for a long time. Furthermore, they just asked me to call the shipping company to ask them to return the item to sender...they are asking me to do their job for them lol (and I can't because as far as they are concerned, I am not the rightful recipient of the parcel due to the wrong address on the label). Joke company.

Original Issue:
Wow. What a terrible experience. Issue is still ongoing so will update as it goes but do not buy from Minisforum UK.

For one, it isn't UK, it is in Europe, item shipped from Germany. When I purchased the item it said "Free Duty Shipping". Item was shipped by DHL and handed off to Parcelforce. I waited a week and the item hadn't arrived before noticing a Parcelforce link in the DHL tracking which I followed. The link advised there was customs charges and it had been held up. Upon noticing this, I contacted Minisforum to find out why there is a customs charge needed to be paid. They responded by saying I need to pay the customs charge and they will refund me - this is not proper business practise which leads me to question the legitimacy of their operation.

I paid the customs charge, only for Parcelforce to advise they can't deliver the item because the wrong address was used (no flat position). I checked the invoice to see if this was my mistake but no - my address is clearly labelled. My issue now is that Parcelforce won't allow me (the buyer) to change the address, so it will never be delivered. DHL did the first leg of the delivery from Germany, so now I will be relient on Minisforum contacting DHL, to rearrange delivery through Parcelforce - I am not hopeful that this will work out.

Which leads me to the god awful customer service. I have been trying to communicate with them through the entire process by email. They have frequently ignored the contents of my emails, have refused to refund the customs charge until the item is delivered (which it can't be), and the broken English in the emails leads me to believe there is a communication barrier.

Never again will I give this company my money, and I suggest you don't either. If you want a Minisforum device, go to Amazon or another vendor. But for me? I'd rather just buy another brand. This company have no idea what they are doing.

Don't use the Minisforum EU shop!

Don't use the Minisforum EU shop!! Terrible delivery service and stubborn customer service!!

Unfortunately, the DHL delivery couldn't deliver my package at my shipment address, because their status update notification didn't work and I missed the parcel by just half an hour. They left my place without handing out the parcel or leaving a note behind. I strongly assume that the driver didn't event try to deliver the parcel at my place... Such a terrible delivery service.

I immediately contacted the Minisforum support, since DHL is returning the parcel back to the shipper and refusing to return it to my place. I haven't heard any words from Minisforum support yet. Not even an automatic support ticket, stating that they're handling my case. It's a bad sign and a terrible experience for all customers, since Minisforum depends on a unreliable delivery partner.

I regret buying their V3 3-in-1 tablet from their store **a month ago**, ordered on 16.12.2024! I should've gone with Microsoft Surface or somenthing else...
---
**Update 28.01.2025:** Still waiting for a delivery or refund!! Customer service only stalls the refund process.
**Update 10.02.2025:** Customer support is writing me "templated" replies back, with no refund possibilities. No DHL delivery status updates whatsoever. Still waiting for the delivery....
**Update 13.02.2025:** I demanded the cancellation of my order and a full refund of payment. They stall and avoid the refund!!!! IT'S UNBELIEVABLE!! I've ordered the product on 16.12.2024 and still waiting for the resolution of this issue!!
According to the EU law, a company has the obligation to fully refund, if the delivery has not been successful within 30 days of ordering it.

Ordered a V3 in the black Friday…

Ordered a V3 in the black Friday sale's. They ship from Hong Kong which I didn't realise until after placing the order, there were no problems though, once dispatched (a week later which they state) I could track the parcel and received updates from FedEx and minisforum by email closer to the delivery date. The V3 was incredibly well packaged and is an awesome product, I'm using it to write this review now.

Apart from not holding stock in the UK the only other thing that would be nice would be if the screen protector was factory fitted.
