complete Scam !!

Cheap seat with a flashy website.
Seat sent directly from China and can be ordered from Amazon for a fraction of the price.

When I got the seat it was extremely poor quality. When asking for a refund the company will try various tactics like offering to refund half the cost. Bare in mind that the actual cost is a fraction of that so they will still me making huge profit.

Have had a long battle with the company. And even got their return address and sent the seat back but now being told that I'm not entitled to a refund ???

The bank account is from Hong Kong and the website appears to .co.uk imitating that it's a UK company.
Who knows where the person running this scam actually is.

They company even started to send me emails stating that they wouldnt give my money back unless I deleted my previous review on here which I did as a test but obviously they didn't follow through.

The company is also known as MiniPilote... The reviews are very similar on their trust pilot.

Interestingly they tried to charge me twice a few months apart. Obviously I flagged it and the bank and authorities are looking into it but shows that they are scammers.

Do not use, I feel silly writing this but this website is a scam. You pay for what you think is a premium seat but get Chinese junk. When asking for a refund they offer you a partial refund or a full refund but told me I had to ship it to America. (I got quoted £30 for this) I can see they operate similar websites with different names. Do not use.

Do NOT buy from this company. I bought one on the basis it said it fit all bikes to then receive it (weeks later) and realise it doesnt fit my partner's bike, no where near! I contacted customer services within the returns time but was refused a return/refund. I quoted consumer rights but they didn't care. The lady then said they would partly refund me, but months later i am yet to receive anything..AVOID!!

Absolutely over the moon with this seat and the price too. Customer service from Minirider was really good too, quick responses and really great communication throughout. Looking forward to getting out on the trails with the wee one!

Terrible company. Cheap generic product from China. Not even branded as Minipilote. Very difficult communications to try and get a refund. Returns end up going to Hawaii!

Also made the purchase that promised a free gift which was a 48 hour % off voucher that you can't use.

Total SCAM

The seat is unsafe for a toddler, which was not made clear upon purchase. After purchase they have been trying to upsell me a safety belt, sending me harrassing emails multiple times a day. They are now refusing to let me return the item, despite emails requesting the return address over several weeks, with increasingly far-fetched excuses as to why they cannot give me the return information (eg they can only send during office hours - and then don’t send it during office hours). This company is an absolute scam - don’t waste your money.

The quality of the item is dire I wouldn't use it . I wish to return the product so asked for address to do so. It is now 10 days later and they still will not give me the address for return. They also didn't send me all the items I ordered . Be aware that they do not reply effectively to email and AS SOON as you order an item they say it isn't possible.

I ordered a product from MiniRider, the transaction went through to a company in Hong Kong, after carefully checking their advertised measurements and fitting guidelines. Despite my frame falling well within their stated dimensions, the item did not fit at all.

I contacted them within the 14-day return window and explained the issue clearly. Instead of honouring my statutory right to a return under the Consumer Rights Act (as the item is not as described), they repeatedly deflected responsibility and refused to offer a refund. Their only response was to offer a “goodwill gift,” which doesn’t address the fact that the product is incompatible due to misleading advertising. Regardless of whether or not the item was compatible, they are still obliged to offer a refund even if I have to cover the shipping costs myself.

I provided clear communication and multiple photos, and they acknowledged receipt — but still no refund or proper return process has been initiated. I’m now left with a useless item and no resolution, despite being fully within my rights as a consumer.

I had been looking at kidrideshotgun seats for a while.. they are a little pricey so looked for some alternatives.

MiniriderUK appeared one day and I saw the price was a bit cheaper.. similar product - promises to fit 99% of bikes.

When I placed the order - I received an email a few days later - shipment from China - Alarm bells started to ring.

The website disguises itself as a UK company and you'd expect items to be stocked and shipped from the UK.

The payment details show a Hong Kong account.

Surely Enough a few weeks later I received my order - packaged in a box with no branding and generic pictures.

I have since found the exact same item on Aliexpress for £20 in the same box - this is a rebranding exercise in which they can't even be bothered to brand the product.

My fault - maybe i should have done my research.

Then, I noticed that the Item wouldn't possibly fit on my bike due to various cables in the way and also the product measurements make it impossible. (shorter that the kidsrideshotgun which i have now got on my bike)

The real issue comes when I stated that I wanted to return this item... Minirider UK are refusing to let me return this item and will not provide a return address or details. Stating that it would be too costly to return to their centre in Norway(?) not even sure they have a facility there.

Then they repeatedly told me that their returns policy is clear and that they do not accept returns - which is absolutely nowhere to be seen on the website. the website clearly states returns are accepted within 14 days.

All in all - I have been scammed with a cheap product based on a slick website. And against UK consumer Law they refuse to provide any form of return details.

I have raised a Charge back case with my bank in hope that i can get my money back.

Horrible "company"

Please please please don't buy this product.. they state it fits ALL types of bikes. I can assure you it doesn't. And heaven forbid you want a refund. They won't give it to you stating it's your fault. The company reply at 2-3 o'clock in the morning. They won't provide you with a return address. The product arrives late..Please please please don't use this company. I'll be going to trading standards

Can't tell you how it actually performs as it doesn't fit my bike despite saying fitting all mountain bikes and the company are refusing to allow me to return the product as they don't offer refunds for false advertising apparently. The seat arrived late and recieved constant fear-mongering marketing about how the product isn't safe without the upsell seatbelt. Taking the issue up with trading standards instead.

Before our parcel arrived I borrowed a similar style seat from friends (bought through Halfords) who were away.
Our son was violently sick on 5 consecutive days about 6 mins into each journey. Not a fault of the seat itself I hasten to add but clearly not what we need for the nursery and school run - you should keep this in mind before you purchase though as this is not uncommon. (Our son is great in a rear seat but we need 2 seats on 1 bike to get the kids to school and nursery.)

I was keen to contact them immediately to initiate a return with 30 days as per their website.

I have received 2 emails asking me why I want to return and then another asking how the weather has been as perhaps rain caused the vomiting (wtf?!?)…. Anyone in Europe in the last month will know we are in the middle of a very intense heatwave!

The company appears very reluctant to initiate the returns process.

I haven’t opened the parcel but I have checked the packaging, sent through Yun Express a shipping company based in China.

As much as this may look like a wholesome independent Uk-based local seller, my suspicion is that this is part of an enormous Chinese based company.

If you are after something like this go and look in cycle surgery or Halfords or any of the other reputable UK based cycle shops. That way you know it has met all the safety requirements and can have it fitted to your bike for free. Additionally if you change your mind, you know you can get a refund.
I suspect I have just kissed goodbye to £50 🤦🏼‍♀️

As far as I can tell there is only one genuine review on this page. The others, and those on other platforms are fake.

This company is a scam through and through. The marketing images are photoshopped with logos and don’t come close to matching the shoddy product which eventually arrived, dropshipped from China.

The quality is appalling, and it arrived in a generic unbranded box. Clearly a cheap knockoff of a previously well-designed solution. Cost £80 for the model with handlebars. Have now found the same on AliExpress for £20.

As one other reviewer has stated. There is no way I would let a child ride on this.

Customer service lied directly when I presented images of how the product delivered did not match their marketing.

Avoid like the plague.
