I had every intention to just do the acrylic portion of the program and then return to the legacy program, however I love the new so much I am just going to continue. I love watching Demitri and Elli paint, sketch. I was not a fan of the time lapse. The new sources are exciting too! I want to do so many of them!

I procrastinated joining at first because I was a professional artist prior to joining, but I knew you can never stop learning with Art. In my first month I was blown away by what I was learning. I got a BA in Fine Arts back in the late 80’s and when I graduated, I was like, now what? How am I going to use this? I self taught myself to paint murals. I got some drawing and painting skills in school but it wasn’t until I practiced regularly on peoples walls thru trial and error Then Milan Mastery popped up one day, and I was obsessing over it. Should I? I had the $$ so I took a leap of faith. I learned all the fundamentals I was missing. The secrets, the quicker ways of doing things. Learning why art sells and doesn’t. I even painted my first abstract! I learned what to look for and try to achieve. My skills have skyrocket to another level, which is what I hoped for. You can go at your own pace, but you get hooked and fill your life up with it. Isn’t that the burn you desire? Above all else, it’s what we ache for. You can make it happen with Milan. Watch your skills grow along with your inner journey getting there. Finding out who you are as a person inside that comes out as your truth shines. It’s truly remarkable to see yourself becoming you with purpose and pride. Only regret I have, is I didn’t know about this sooner. Thank you Milan for changing my life!

When I joined the Milan Art Mastery Program in 2024, I believed I was signing up to improve my skills as a painter. What I didn’t realize was that I was stepping into something far deeper—something that would transform not only my art, but how I see myself and what I believe is possible.

Now, as I begin my second year and experience the newly expanded Mastery Program, I can honestly say it has exceeded even the high expectations I already had. I thought the original program was exceptional, but this new evolution is on an entirely different level. The depth, the clarity, the intention behind every lesson is unmistakable. I’m new to this program (1 month in). I absolutely love it. I have health issues and this is helping me work with my pain and get my mind into the right brain to help me heal my body and get out of the pain cycle. For anyone who has chronic pain and some type of health issues I encourage you to feel welcome to this program. They will totally work with you. There’s no rush, you’re on your own schedule. If you put any type of pressure on yourself to finish within a certain timeline, that will totally be self-inflicted. Please don’t do that. Please allow yourself lots of grace and time to do it on your own path. It’s totally self paced and I absolutely love it. The lessons, quality and structure are very good. it's really a great way to get yourself started as an artist. As the Milans will tell you, if you've ever had it in your heart, as a passion to be an artist, or to develop your artistic abilities... now is the time! Feel free to jump in because that's the kind of thing that just doesn't go away. There are so many people in the program who've said they've been wanting to be an artist since they were a child, Etc. I hear it over and over again where people deviated from being an artist because they were either told they couldn't do it or believed they couldn't succeed and be successful with it and maybe even they became a doctor or any other pathway that's not in the creative field necessarily (in the way they truly wanted to be). Then later on they circled back! It's a beautiful way to truly connect with your true self. I think creativity and art is a fantastic way to heal your body. That's my personal experience. Welcome 🤗 everyone is so friendly. You can make new friends too.

I graduated from the Legacy Mastery Program a few years ago. I absolutely loved the classes. The new program released and I decided to start from the beginning. I am loving it. Those new students are really in for an amazing ride. I can’t wait to see how my skills develop after this.

I've been a MP Student for just over 2 years now (Jan 2024). The reason elderly family member illness as well as personal health issues. I am thankful this is a self paced Program with lifetime access. As of 2026 the whole Program has changed. It is easier to follow along. Clearer and more concise in what the assignments are and what materials are needed. The textbook and syllabus is also clearer with more information and one could probably complete the program just using them alone. I started over after watching the first 2 videos in 2026 program. I had not gotten through all of Part 2 yet, so it wasn't a huge deal to start over. My only personal problem is when I originally joined they didn't have coaching included. So glad they changed that for others coming in now. Great Program you wont be disappointed. Just do it!

I had a panic and may have blended a little- mine just didn't feel 'bitty' in the good way and now I am completely lost in mush and feel like I'm going to spend another 40h aiming for realism and not succeeding! Did anyone else accidentally go down this path? Can I still salvage it or do I need to start again 🤦🏼‍♀️

This was my first step into Acrylic, though I've used watercolors for 7 years or so, and Elli made it super easy! I really love the merge of realism and abstract! Hopefully I can sign up for the Master Course next year.

It was step by step, no pressure, clear explanations of everything, notes with each step...I got my money's worth and I would recommend "How to paint a Beautiful Portrait Every Time."

Practice and getting some basic tools and guidelines

This is my second portrait with oil.
I plan to do all five references given in the class.

Glad I signed up for Milan Art Institute. Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have taken every art class possible provided by local colleges and through out my pre college academic years. I am rather impressed with Milan Art. While the bulk of it is repeat for me I am just jumping ahead to the more advanced stuff. Everyone’s style is different. The only one thing I don’t like is how they belittle water based media such as acrylics or water colors. They heavily push oils. Not everyone is comfortable nor has a good set up to be able to use oils. My apartment doesn’t let anything flammable thus not able to use oils at all. I’d use them in an instant if it wasn’t for that restriction.

Milan Art knows how to sell their products and teaches you how to make art work that sells. Their style is very unique and many artists continue onto a successful career. My parents too taught me art = poor and I know now that, that is a lie taught to keep people from entering this field. Art has never been easier with the digital era making online sales around the globe possible. Coupled with the ability to have other companies make and print high quality prints for you without you having to do anything. I’m diving back into the art world in my 40’s and wish I stuck with my art career and developed my image more heavily. I lost my self to the working world like everyone else and decided to step down in hours at work to the bare minimum financially and use my spare time to proceed with this program.

I am not finding the coaching particularly helpful. They tend to push the Milan Art style on you and belittle anything not made in oils. Many people paint with acrylics and other mediums and do quite well in those mediums. Not everyone needs mixed media art. I’m glad I did not waist another $400 a month on the coaching.

I like the idea that you can work at your own pace and if you exceed the time frame of the 2 years for the program that’s fine. You can continue working in it at your own pace. Life happens, they know many people are working and do this on the side as a hobby and understand that. Everyone proceeds at different speeds in the program. I’ll grind a lot all at once and work on multiple paintings at once then slowly finish them as time allows. I can do this program around my work schedule which is helpful with a rotating random schedule with no set days off. Just means I can’t commit to anything with a set schedule which makes set days of the week classes or appointments more challenging.

I do plan on continuing with the program until completion. I thought I’d be a full time artists but my schedule is allowing part time to hobbyist at best. Two days a week are set aside to this program. I’ll do a main lesson on one day and a side bonus lesson on the other time frames. So long as you do one a week you’re fine. Yes, you can work ahead but how long can you watch tv for and actually remember it? The schedule is a bit confusing and bonus lessons are basically art lessons in higher detail where the main lessons are more loose and just give a basic coverage of the assignment.

I never noticed it before but now that I use pintrest as my art source, I am seeing most of the art on etsy as pintrest photos but painted uniquely. Once you see this you can’t unsee it. I’m using royalty free sites like unsplash or pixabay to be safe. You can also use ai to generate photos but you’ll run into the legal question eventually “does ai own it or do you?” despite it being open source. Another thing you can do is go to places like istock and buy a royalty right to a photo and be safe that way. In your early practice days I’d say it’s fine but as you grow your career you want to consider legal laws to try and avoid a penalty strike against your name by another author.

I'm glad I signed up. I'm doing the cheapest program option and that's very affordable. I'm glad I'm getting back into art as I was that kid that enjoyed art class back in kindergarten. They teach you to work 9-5 jobs and there's nothing else. No, don't fall for that and do what you want to do.

What an excellent class. It was jam packed with meaningful education and literally helped build my understanding of the basics from the ground up. If you are new to painting or even if you know a couple of things but don’t know how to piece it together then this class is for you.

I love learning and following along with these classes, hopefully one day I can join the mastery program. Thank you for teaching upcoming artists!

I purchased the class, "How to Paint Portraits that sell, vol 2", after reading some reviews and seeing their comments that this is beginner friendly and they would explain techniques along the way.

I purchased the listed supplies and was ready to start and found the following:

1. The artist NEVER explains the color they are using . Even folks that were on the live kept asking what colors she was mixing and the response was "i am using straight paint."
2. When they DID say the colors, they were not in the list of needed supplies. A beginner wouldn't know to use burnt sienna because it was never listed.
3. There wasn't any real instruction, more of just a demonstration and an advertisement for their mastery program.
4. She asks that you dont draw on the canvas and trust blocking it out, but only says what part of the face is in the middle of the canvas. The proportions were never explained and I think proportions are a HUGE part of portraits that sell lol.

Cinnamon Cooney on YouTube is a GREAT example of how to learn how to paint. She explains everything as she goes - and it's free.
I expected this paid course to be along the lines of that, but better.

I actually wanted to purchase the mastery program because I love the Milan Art Institute style and I'm intimidated with oil paints, but the cost doesn't seem to be worth it if you're not really learning techniques with explanation.
