Hi Martin,

I'm so sorry to hear you've had this experience. That certainly isn't how our dispenser should perform, and I completely understand how frustrating it must be when you're just trying to brush your teeth.

From what you've described, it sounds like the dispenser may not be creating the airtight seal needed to dispense the toothpaste properly, or there could be a fault with the pump. We'd really love the opportunity to get this sorted for you.

Hi Anne,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having problems. From the sounds of it, it sounds like the refill hasn't been screwed into the pump head and instead put loose into the base of the dispenser. Could you kindly try screwing into the pump head and then putting back together to see if it works?

Our dispenser works with an airless pump system so doesn't have a traditional tube going into the refill.

We also really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback on the nozzle. We do recommend holding the dispenser horizontally over your toothbrush when dispensing, but your suggestion about extending the nozzle a little further is a really interesting one and could certainly help make that even easier. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We're sorry that your experience didn't live up to your expectations.

Firstly, regarding the delivery delay, you're absolutely right that customers should be kept informed when orders are taking longer than expected. During the stock shortage, we did send email updates to customers, but we know these can sometimes end up in junk or spam folders, which is frustrating and can leave customers feeling out of the loop. We're continuing to review how we communicate delays to make sure updates are as visible and timely as possible.

We're also sorry to hear that setting up the dispenser was confusing. We've been working to improve our instructions and onboarding materials to make the setup process clearer from the start.

With regard to the dispenser twisting closed between pumps, that doesn't sound right. The dispenser should remain open during normal use, and from your description it sounds like you may have received a faulty unit. We'd love the opportunity to put this right and send a replacement free of charge. Please reach out to our support team at hello@mightymouthcare.com and we'll get this sorted for you.

Finally, thank you for highlighting the point about the star rating displayed on our website. We understand why this felt misleading, and it's something we're actively reviewing to ensure the information presented is clear and fair.

Hi there

Thank you so much for your review and for giving Mighty a try. We’re really pleased to hear you like the toothpaste itself and the look of the dispenser, but we’re sorry the pumping experience hasn’t been working as it should.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like the refill may not be fully secured into the pump head. The refill needs to be screwed directly into the underside of the pump mechanism rather than placed loose into the base of the container. Once attached correctly, the toothpaste should dispense smoothly within a couple of pumps.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, Diana. We’re genuinely sorry for the misunderstanding around your dispenser replacement and for the disappointment this caused.

When we mentioned that we don’t normally accept returns, what we meant was that, for hygiene reasons, we usually ask customers to keep the original product as a gift from us while we send out a replacement - apologies if that came across as if we were unwilling to help or exchange your dispenser.

We’re very grateful for your honest feedback on both dispenser designs. Customer feedback around stability is what led us to redesign the original dispenser to be shorter and wider, and it’s equally helpful to hear your thoughts on the colours and overall appearance too. We understand that products used every day in the bathroom should feel visually appealing as well as functional.

As discussed over email, a pink dispenser has now been sent, and we really hope this is much more suited to your preference.

Hi Jack, thanks for getting in touch - sorry to hear you're having trouble with your dispenser.

Could I first check whether the refill is screwed into the pump head rather than placed into the base? It needs to be screwed into the pump head for the toothpaste to dispense correctly.

Regarding the nozzle, it sounds like it may not have been twisted far enough to lock into pump mode. Could you try twisting it 90 degrees? You should be able to line the nozzle up with the small hole at the bottom of the dispenser, which will lock it in place for pumping.

Hi Lorraine,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you're having issues. It sounds like the refill hasn't been assembled correctly. The refill needs to be screwed into the top of the dispenser instead of putting it into the base. It needs to be screwed into nozzle to be air tight.


Our dispenser actually works as an airless system, so there isn’t a tube inside the refill. Instead, each refill has a small piston at the bottom that pushes the toothpaste upwards as you pump. You may need to pump the dispenser nozzle a few times to bring the toothpaste to the top of the refill, could you try this and see if it works? Once the air has cleared, the toothpaste should start dispensing normally. If you’re still having trouble after giving it a few more pumps, please let me know and I’ll be very happy to help further.
