Extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience
I purchased the SketchUp Student Subscription from MC2 Design Ltd on March 31, 2025, and sent my student ID right after. Trimble emailed me saying I could start using the software, but when I logged in, it showed "No products yet."
I contacted Trimble support and confirmed I was using the correct email. They told me the issue was with the entitlement, and only my local reseller (MC2) could fix it.
Since then, I’ve called MC2 several times. First, they told me to reinstall the software — didn’t help. Then they told me to delete some files in the Registry Editor and restart — still didn’t work. After that, every time I call, it goes straight to voicemail and no one gets back to me.
It’s been over a week, and I still can’t use the software I paid for. I really need it for my study. This whole experience has been super frustrating and honestly unacceptable.

Regarding communication, and support we have helped you try and sort your issue out on several occasions. With all due respect you are not our only customer so when you call and reach voicemail, please leave a message with your details and a brief explanation of the issue. This will allow us to look into your case and get back to you as quickly as possible., but when you call and do not leave any messages, we are unable to help.
We have cancelled your subscription. As soon as Trimble confirms the cancellation, the refund will be issued.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Great experience
Everything went smooth and fast. Meeta was of great help through the process. Thanks to the MC2 Design I can now use the Sketchup. Great customer service and kindness. I will definitely renew my subscription with MC2 Design for my next four years of university.

Terrible
Terrible, we purchased a not-for-profit sketchup licence and discovered the following year that, although money for the renewal was taken from our account, we didn't have a licence. When we contacted MC2 about this, they were awfully slow to respond initially and then they stopped responding even after chasing. Now the charity has lost out and has no easy recourse seven months later.

Regarding your payment, please note that for automatic renewals, both the initial purchase and the auto-renew option need to be selected. In your case, the auto-renew option was not initially selected, so the renewal was not processed automatically.
As soon as you contacted us, we issued a refund for the renewal payment. Therefore, we are unsure about your comment about the charity losing out.
