Marvellous Escapes Anmeldelser

Easy to book, very flexible to amend hotel or number of nights. Quick to respond

So far the booking experience has been fantastic. Christian has been a pleasure to work with and has made the whole experience really exciting

We had already decided on the places we wanted to visit throughout Switzerland, including travelling on the Glacier Express, GoldenPass, Junfraujoch & Gornegrat railways. We contacted Marvellous Escapes and spoke with Hayley for advice, a workable itinerary and an indication of price.
There were no high-pressure sales tactics at all, Hayley had listened to everything we wanted and put together a fantastic itinerary that included all of our ideas while staying within our budget.
Before we travelled, we received a comprehensive folder containing all our travel documents - flights, train journeys, day trips, panoramic train reservations, cogwheel railways, funiculars & cable cars. Hayley also advised us on how to get the maximum value from our Swiss Travel Pass and pre-booked most of the excursions. Having everything clearly laid out in printed form meant we could simply follow the instructions each day without having to work anything out ourselves.
We have just returned from our incredible 17-night Swiss adventure, staying in six different locations, all seamlessly connected by train with activities planned every day.
Everything ran perfectly - you could say it was as reliable as Swiss clockwork!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marvellous Escapes to anyone. In fact, Hayley is already helping us plan our next adventure!

Great service throughout

The service was exceptional and catered exactly to my requirements. Laurie was knowledgeable, polite and professional and managed to deliver everything I wanted to within my budget. I couldn’t have planned such an amazing holiday without her.
I would definitely recommend Marvellous Escapes to everyone.

I rarely write reviews but wrote one at booking stage as it had been a seamless experience and I hoped the trip itself would be as good. We are now back and I can say with certainty our expectations were exceeded! The organisation and in trip support were exceptional! We needed to move 2 of our transfer times during the trip. I contacted Marvelous Escapes on the WhatsApp channel provided, had a response within 2mins and within 5mins everything was rearranged. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is organised with professionalism and feels very personal. They are 100% vested in making sure their customers get what they are expecting and more. Laurie organised our trip for us, gave us so many recommendations and really went above and beyond. Paul answered our queries on the WhatsApp during our trip so definitely a big shout out to both of them personally. We will most certainly be using their services again in the future.

This is our first time using a travel agent and the first time we have gone to the continent by train rather than flying. We hoped Marvellous Escapes would sort it all out - and they have! Olivia was very helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble in making any adjustments we requested to a proposed itinerary. It is helpful though to have a fairly clear idea of what you want as once started the process runs quickly in order to secure your desired bookings. Hopefully the holiday will run as smoothly as the booking process.

Excellent rep, Laura

Laurie was knowledgeable and professional with the whole process from initial enquiry to version 3 of the trip which we have booked.

Switzerland Discovery
After making an initial enquiry, Christian called to discuss our trip. He created a busy, personalised itinerary from our requirements and his suggestions and recommendations. We received step by step instructions to help the trip go as smoothly as possible.
We received physical document as well as digital for travel, hotels and tours. Christian called a few days before travel and was able to answer a couple of queries we had.

Laurie planned the perfect rail trip for us from London to Bergen via Hamburg, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Oslo and Flam. Every hotel was lovely, close to the station and town centre and offered the most amazing breakfast buffets. The timings and connections all worked well and the Norway in a Nutshell was perfect climax to the trip. Certainly the holiday of a lifetime.

Olivia was so helpful and understanding of what I wanted for our trip to Switzerland and Italy. Very patient when I asked for a few changes and very knowledgeable of the areas and gave helpful suggestions.

Laurie was fantastic at booking & advising us on our Switzerland holiday. She’s a credit to your company. I’ve wanted to do it for years & so glad I went with this company
Many thanks

Olivia made an itinerary based on our friends' requirements, and then altered them to suit their wishes. We joined in the trip and she was very efficient and swift in sending details to us.

Christian designed my 2week rail trip around Poland and on request alter schedules to my specification. The trip had everything I wanted, the tours of the cities and locations visited were interesting and informative thanks to the excellent guides allocated to me. The Hotels were comfortable and excellently located and travel arrangements were straightforward and comprehensively laid out in the documents accompanying the trip.I had an excellent holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending Marvelous Escapes to anyone. Many thanks, Terence.

My family and I have just returned for an amazing tailor made rail trip to Switzerland. Everything was perfect and we all had a great time! Many thanks to Paul and his team for making our holiday very special

Second time we’ve booked through Marvellous Escapes and their service is still excellent.
I received a marketing email about their Italian trips, saw the one we wanted and in less than 24 hours they had devised the perfect trip for us tailored to everything we wanted.
Highly recommend Marvellous Escapes and if you get Hayley as your travel consultant, I can guarantee she will give you the best customer experience.

A fabulous lady called Hayley booked our trip and was very warm and personable and knowledgeable. It made us feel very confident booking our trip.

All the staff were very helpful and made the trip to Inverness on the overnight Caledonian sleeper an experience to remember. The choice of hotel was great and the tours to Loch Ness and the Isle Of Skye were magic, with very good guides. The flight home on Easy jet was marred by being charged an extra £60 for a bag that most airlines would have classed as cabin.

Excellent communications from the team, lots of ideas and happy to change things as new ideas came up.
Can’t knock The personal service I feel we were given. No pressure tactics to buy just decent people offering a decent price on a top banana holiday. What’s not to love.

The personalised service was great. Laurie's guidance was invaluable. She put together a package which incorporated all my requirements and within the budget I had set. Looking forward to the trip in January.
