Size

Item arrived in a big bag and all wrinkled. But the worst part is when they tranfer you to “canadian” site their sizes arent changed for Canadians. I shopped via canadian website but got irems that are 2-3 sizes smaller because they still sell UK sized items. Returning cost half of the item price. Very disappointed and will never order again.

Shoddily Packed

The last 2 orders I've received have been shoddily packed prior to dispatching. The garments, were rolled into a ball and stuffed Into a plastic bag without hangers. When received, the garments were excessively creased and looked dreadful, as if second hand, not what I expected from M&S. Regards

M&S CASTLEPOINT BOURNEMOUTH CAFE.

We had really looked forward to our first visit to Castle Point and planned to have a light lunch in the cafe there.
It was heaving, over crowded , busy, chaotic, Never mind - we argued - shows how popular it is. We chose "Toasted Cheese and Ham Toasties". , the assistant took them off us and gave us a marker for our table to deliver them once they were cooked. The Cortado coffee was weak and luke warm and over milked. We drank the coffee and waited and waited for the toasties to arrive, 20 minutes later they arrived - heated through warm, but soggy and certainly not toasted . The cheese was largely untouched and the bread was a million miles from toast.
All very disappointing - partially I think because of the cafe's popularity and busy-ness. Big disappointment - !!!

Misleading of M& S

Marks and Spencer invite you to buy a Roast and Ritual cup then use to get a free coffee. That is very misleading because you can only get one cup! When I went back today with the cup I still had to buy one!

The new and improved Mom jeans are awful

I have been purchasing the Mom jeans for a few years now, people have asked on many occasions where i got them from as they fit so well. Unfortunately M&S have decided to improve them. They are now too wide in the leg and instead of my normal size 10 mom jean i had to get a 12 which is still snug. I will be returning the two pairs i purchased. There is a saying if it’s not broken then don’t try to fix it. So disappointed with the ‘new and improved’ jeans .

Shambles and Awful Customer Service Experience
Purchased a £25 pendant specifically to go with a top bought at the same time from M&S. Pendant arrived tangled into a knot. When I inspected it there was a substantial part missing. I emailed which wasn't responded to and as I needed it to go along with top and was hoping for them to send a replacement as I was being treated for a much needed meal out by a friend, I decided to call customer services instead.

Despite already providing photos in my email I was asked to do it again which I did. The person I spoke to was polite throughout and sought advice from the manager several times during our conversation. After explaining my situation that I've just had a knee replacement, am in great pain, train station is half an hour walk away plus I would have to pay the train fare all they would offer was for me to keep broken pendant and they would give me a discount off my next purchase. Completely unfeeling of my plight and unacceptable. I wanted my money refunded fully and to not have to return it but apparently this was impossible.

I asked to speak to the Manager who was rude throughout accusing me of not letting her talk. I kept quiet for a couple of minutes waiting for her to say something then after a lengthy silence she piped in again in a rude manner 'can I talk now'. She then transferred me to another department.

The next lady I spoke to informed me if I went online I could arrange for M&S to collect the item. Perfect I thought. Went online and there was no option to do this so called them back.

I was informed that the collection option was no longer available and offered to refund me straight away 'and next time I was in town could drop it off'. I wanted clarification on how long I had as imagine in my current state that may be many months away she went off to speak with Manager again. Eventually they agreed to send Parcel Force out to collect it.

Altogether I spent an hour on the phone to them. They were not interested or understanding of my situation and I got the impression they thought I was just trying to get a 'freebie'. Yes I'm that desperate I want to keep a broken pendant.

I advise to think very carefully and choose wisely before you make an order as I was shocked at how poorly I was treated. I've been treated with more understanding and professionalism by less regarded stores. Obviously M&S couldn't care less.

What a scam the Boxing Day online sale…

What a scam the Boxing Day online sale is !
How can they sell you the goods , keep you ganging on days then suddenly discover they don’t have them . ?
Sounds like a ‘ tinpot’ stock system ! don’t stop them taking your money , earning interest then making the customer wait an unacceptable time for a refund .
What a shambles of a company

Fantastic staff

On the 4th of January 2026 myself and my wife went into Marks & Spencer’s food hall to pick up some supplies we spent £20 and we was open to. We redeem a gift card that we had given to us which was £15 but when I scanned all my items it declined my card. We had a member of staff come to our aid and her name was Jane. She was very friendly and helpful. She tried and it declined for her. She moved us to another self scanning machine tried it again four times and it failed so I paid it on another card. Jane was very helpful. I have thanked her on many occasions but I think if it comes from the store manager or supervisor in our area Jane needs to be recognised for help for customers but can I say all the staff and Barnstable and Marks & Spencer‘s are very helpful my wife is disabled and when she needs to buy something for herself clothing the staff are very helpful so well done Marks & Spencer‘s Barnstable

Liz the manager in marks and Spencer…

Liz the manager in marks and Spencer Liffey valley is an utter disgrace of a person and manager. I buy 4 wine glasses last week and try returning them today because one was missing. The manager informs me that there was sticker at the very back of box at bottom saying it was faulty item. I asked why it was on shelves with other normal items when I bought it, she very rudely tells me that’s just what they do. I tell her I just want a refund and she told me they don’t do refunds on faulty items. I just couldn’t understand why the items were on same shelving at other store items. I turned to tell my daughter and husband who were standing behind the queue stand why I couldn’t get refund and Liz then calls security guard called frank to tell him I’m getting irate and to keep and eye on me!!!! In front of who queue! After I bought new glasses and didn’t get a refund I passed frank and jokingly asked him did Liz tell him to keep an eye on me and he laughs and says don’t mind her. So I ask Liz why she set a security guard on me and she says “you were shouting and getting aggressive”…. Not one person in the store heard or seen me get aggressive. Then shouts across at frank to ban me from the store and not let me back in the store!!! Everyone around me were laughing at her behaviour. She was aggressive erratic and clearly not able for her job.

M&S Broccoli Cheese Bake - Avoid

I have been an M&S food shopper for many years. Mostly it is ok, but I think standards are beginning to slip.
I purchased Broccoli Cheese Bake yesterday and we ate it today as part of our meal.
The broccoli was as hard as nails, unable to cut even with a steak knife!!
So basically, I paid £3.50 for the cheese sauce, which is all we had with our salmon.
I know vegetables are better el-dente - but so hard they cannot be cut or chewed is really not acceptable.
Avoid this product if you value your teeth!!

DISAPPOINTING!

I ordered 2 items which were due for delivery on 25 and 26 November. The first item was delivered early on 23 November. I had made sure before I ordered the items that they could be delivered before I went on holiday on 27 November but this has not happened. I got confirmation that the second item had been despatched on 22 November and would be with me by 26 November. The second item, a Christmas Tree, has been delayed but I was not notified of this. Furthermore, I was made to call Customer Services on 3 separate occasions without a single useful suggestion being put forward. I spoke to Kanye, Aya and Anathy, none of whom were able to assist. I requested that the order either be delivered to my neighbour or be delayed until I returned on Tuesday, 2 December but this was refused. This delay was not of my making but yet I am being forced to pay the consequences by being stressed the entire day before I go on holiday and have my order cancelled which would put me at a financial disadvantage if I ordered the item again. After this debacle I am unlikely to re-order from M&S. I have been a loyal customer for over 40 years but this will change because I cannot trust Marks & Spencer to either keep to their commitments or offer an acceptable alternative. Truly disappointing. I can see most of my Christmas shopping being done at John Lewis instead! The order No. 301-0060832-6959909 should you choose to investigate!

Endless cafe issues

I visited M&S cafe in Stevenage yesterday. Still NO improvement. Never enough terminals working (only three yesterday). Again and again there are problems, with no sight of any improvements. Staff simply shrug their shoulders, albeit with an apology and a smile. But that doesn't help if you are old or disabled. Long periods of standing need to be avoided. After all the purpose of a cafe should be to give a short break between shopping, instead of a 'sprint' to avoid the inevitable queue.

Poor quality Denim

I find it difficult to find nice jeans that fit on the waist. I was very pleased to find that Marks & Spencer‘s jeans did fit on the waist. They also did skinny and slim etc. I bought four pairs two slim two skinny. They looked nice and felt nice and were a good fit. Sadly after a few washes the material looked thinner and the bottoms and knees soon bagged after probably six wear and washes. As much as I like the fit it is not economical to replace them every few months. And you can almost see the weave which makes them look cheap.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I've been driving for over 30 years, and this is the worst insurance company I've ever used. Stay away from them.

Helpful staff in Winchester cafe

I would like to comment on the young barista in the cafe of the Winchester branch of Marks and Spencers. He went out of his way to be helpful to me when I visited the cafe with my toddler grandaughter today. After I had ordered, he invited me to find a table while he organised for my tray and a highchair to be brought over to us. A small gesture but not one I have experienced in many other places. And, he carried out his tasks in a friendly, engaging manner.

Marks is getting to be a joke they are…

Marks is getting to be a joke they are trying to claw back ther millions lost by putting there prices sky high , I spend About £300 A week in ther But no more As the food certainly is not worthy of the prices they charge

Even there mark downs are about 30 Pence of original price Shameful
