I underwent a breast lift with nipple correction at Manchester Private Hospital in September 2025 under the care of Dr Shivram Singh, and my experience has been extremely distressing.

Following surgery, I suffered prolonged wound complications, recurrent infection, delayed healing, and required multiple courses of antibiotics. Months later, my wounds were still not fully healed. While I understand that complications can occur with any surgery, what I found most concerning was the management of those complications and the overall standard of aftercare.

I experienced inconsistent advice from different clinicians, delays in communication regarding swab results, and I was not provided with clear post-operative instructions at discharge. On several occasions, I had to chase the hospital for basic information about my own treatment. I also raised concerns about infection control practices during wound reviews, including gloves being used to touch surfaces and then my wounds, which I did not feel were taken seriously.

The female doctor I was seeing regularly for wound checks wasn’t wiping anything down, there was still the old dressings on the side from the previous patient. She called me in with dirty dressings on the side, put them in the bin after I was sat on the bed, she didn’t wipe anything down and continued to put my my clean dressings on top of the dirty surface.

She then touched my wounds, walked around the room, touched all the cupboards and drawers, then continued to touch my breasts again. As a result I developed severe infections.

INFECTION CONTROL IS POOR AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. VERY DANGEROUS!

During follow-up appointments with Dr Singh, I felt dismissed when raising concerns about ongoing green discharge, pain, delayed healing, and scarring. At one review, comments were made which suggested a lack of attention to the details of my procedure, and I left feeling upset and unsupported. For a cosmetic surgery patient, where confidence and body image are central, this lack of empathy was extremely difficult.

I chose to have surgery because I already struggled with self-confidence. As a result of the complications and scarring, I now feel more self-conscious than before. This has significantly affected my mental wellbeing and my personal life.

I also submitted a formal written complaint. Although it was acknowledged, I was informed I would receive a full response within a set timeframe, which was not honoured. The lack of accountability and communication has added further stress to an already traumatic experience.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering cosmetic surgery here, particularly under Dr Singh, to carefully consider the level of post-operative care, communication, and support they may receive if complications arise.

It seems that they’re only interested in you before they get your money. As soon as you’ve paid, they aren’t interested.

PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID, CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

I had vaser lipo with Dr Purbey and he have exceeded my expectations. I'm so happy with my results so far and i am only 4 weeks post op. From consultation to having surgery everything went smoothly and all staff were lovely. Dr explained everything and answered all my questions with honest answers.

Was really nervous leading up to my procedure , but the way the staff took care of me made the whole day stress free and so comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and supportive. I’m so glad I chose to get my procedure done here :) will definitely go here in the future for anything else I want to get

I am very grateful to Dr Kam Singh and his team for the care and professionalism they have shown throughout my treatment. I was dealing with a medical condition that had a significant impact on both my physical comfort and confidence, and finding the right specialist was incredibly important to me.
Throughout my treatment, Dr Singh always took the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I felt informed and supported, and I always felt that my concerns were taken seriously.
I have now undergone multiple procedures under his care and I have really appreciated the continuity of care and attention I received throughout.
I also want to say a special thank you to Lorraine, who has been consistently kind and supportive. Having that level of communication and reassurance made a big difference during what can be a challenging experience and emotional experience.
Overall I am very thankful for the care I received and would recommend Dr Singh and his team to anyone seeking a professional approach to treatment!

Mr Singh at Manchester Private Hospital has recently performed my breast augmentation and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I felt entirely comfortable with Mr Singh throughout the process, due to his expert knowledge and professionalism. I have never felt more confident in my own body and would recommend Mr Singh very highly to anyone else considering this surgery. I’d also like to extend a big thank you to everyone else at MPH who supported me!

Friendly staff felt very well looked after from going in for surgery to leaving. The after care was also excellent.

Wow, where do I begin?! As a 23 year old trans woman, I underwent a breast augmentation with moderate profile 435cc teardrop implants over the muscle with Ms. Antoniadou in April 2025 in order to alleviate part of my gender dysphoria and undergo my first gender affirming surgery. To say the entire ordeal was an experience with ups and downs is an understatement to say the least, yet the team at Manchester private hospital, including Ms. Antoniadou, my coordinator jade, and my nurses Carla and Abena, where an absolute dream and consistently went above and beyond to do everything they could to ensure I had the results we had envisioned from the beginning. From the consultation to the discharge, I cannot fault a single one of the staff for their fantastic bedside manner and professionalism.

My initial surgery, I did suffer from very rare complications within the first 2 weeks, including an incision site infection and hematoma. This was no fault of my surgeon nor myself as I followed strict post op protacol, it was purely the way my body reacted to an invasive surgical procedure as somebody who has never been under the knife before. The way my nurses, coordinator, and surgeon addressed this was remarkably professional, compassionate, and respectful. Being someone that struggles with gender dysphoria, the process was an emotional one for me, and they handled it brilliantly. Once the infection and the swelling cleared up after immediate care, the breast started to settle, and now looks phenomenal.

The other one however 4 months after the initial augmentation, I noticed had started to bottom out and I felt was laterally displaced. This was very slight, but for someone like myself, the asymmetry was noticeable. I pointed this out to my surgeon, and it was addressed promptly, acknowledged and explained to be a case of the pocket stretching over the period that they were severely swollen in the first few months, leading to a pocket that was to wide. I was offered a complimentary revision surgery to address the aesthetic issue, which was included in my 2 year post op care package. I underwent capuslorrhaphy in January 2026 and come nearly may time, they look absolutely incredible.

I may have had some complications, but this was a result of nothing else other than how my body reacted to an Intense change, and the practice addressed it with upmost sensitivity.

From beginning to end, I was educated on everything; what to expect, what could happen, and given very clear instructions. These people, especially Ms. Antoniadou, are miracle workers, and honestly have saved my life and improved the quality of it for the better. I have never felt more in my own skin that I do now, and it is all thanks to them.

I cannot recommend Manchester private hospital enough for your cosmetic needs, you will forever be in good hands. I especially recommend Ms, Antoniadou for transgender breast augmentation as she absolutely knows what she's on about and how to achieve desired results. Her tailored approach is bespoke to every patient. I can tell this as while my type of placement and implant type might not be what's considered the most "common", (I.E round, under the muscle) it has absolutely achieved the result I set out for, which was a nice natural looking breast augmentation. Especially on my broad frame, placing the teardrop implants over the muscle, allowed for natural movement that mimics the feel and look of natural breasts, whilst also giving a beautiful sloped look. They don't even look like implants, and if no one were to see my scars, I doubt anyone would think that they were a result of cosmetic surgery.

This practice is fantastic, and may I ever want to enhance any other parts of myself in the future, they will be the first i will go to. They are worth every penny spent.

Both surgeons, Dr Purbey and Dr Singh are amazing and I am happy so far with my results. I would fully recommend both of them as surgeons. Their care and attention is amazing and they are both extremely friendly and make you feel at ease.
The hospital itself in Manchester is tired and definitely needs a refurb.
The staff are lovely.
I did feel a bit rushed to be discharged after my 2nd and 3rd surgeries (I had 3 surgeries in total for my lipodema).
Following my final procedure I had a lot of blood loss and called the emergency helpline the day after being discharged but was told it “was normal”. Despite me challenging this and saying it didn’t feel right and I was in a lot of pain I was told it was fine and would get better over the coming days.
Fast forward a few days later and I went to the hospital for my post op check up and explained my pain to them and my difficulties in breathing as well as other symptoms. The outcome was that I was told to book in for an echo on my heart and was sent home.
I called my GP the next day and explained my symptoms and was told to go to a&e. The outcome after many X-rays, scans and blood tests was that I was anemic due to the amount of blood id lost during my final op. The disappointing part of this is that had a simple blood test been done by the doctor during my post op follow up I could have been treated much earlier. I’m still not fully recovered nearly 3 months later. I did raise a complaint but the way they have handled it is awful.
In conclusion, if everything goes well and you don’t mind having your surgery in a slightly dated hospital then go for it. However if anything goes wrong and you dare to complain then expect every excuse possible for the not to take ownership of it or admit fault. Given the price I paid for my surgeries along with a 2 year aftercare package it’s really sad that they can’t even apologise for what’s happened and compensate me accordingly. I do however reiterate that both surgeons are absolutely amazing and I would use them again if they were worked for a different organisation.

Communication has been great, kept ringing me to check on me in-between my aftercare appointments. Surgery went well. I'm only 3 weeks in but I'm over the moon so far! Great place and lovely staff! Dr nassir did my surgery and she was amazing, advised me on sizes recommended etc too :)

I had VASER liposuction with Mr Kam Singh and overall had a really positive experience from start to finish.
From the initial consultation, he and his team were friendly, professional and open and honest. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt comfortable asking questions and understanding what to expect.

On the day of the procedure, I felt at ease. Mr Singh and his team were reassuring and everything felt well organised.

The aftercare was also really good. If I ever felt unsure, I was able to speak to someone, which was reassuring. I was also able to go in during recovery for reassurance when needed, and the team were always approachable and willing to help
I would recommend Mr Kam Singh and his team to anyone considering VASER.

I recently had an extended tummy tuck and VASER liposuction at the Manchester Private Hospital with Mr. Faisal Ashfaq. Even though it will be a few months before I see my final results, I am absolutely delighted with how things are going so far. Mr. Ashfaq explained the procedure clearly from the start, and the results speak for themselves — he and his team did an incredible job. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Martha, who cared for me immediately after surgery, was amazing, and Trisha, who looked after me post-op, was fantastic. Their professionalism and support made the entire experience smooth and reassuring.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I am very grateful to the whole team.

From the start, this was a wonderful and positive experience. I had chin lipo with Dr Singh and after only two months I have the biggest confidence boost, with hopefully even better result in more months to come. I chose MPH because their reviews were glowing and I'm happy to add to the positivity, cosmetic surgery should not be a rash, cheap impulse decision and MPH make sure you understand what you're getting into before you go ahead, everything is sensible and explained well. Aftercare has been fine, I healed so well I didn't need any assistance in my experience. This has been an investment into myself and 100% worth every penny.

From start to finish the service was very professional. Dionne was very helpful with any questions I needed answering.

Mr Khalil Has done an excellent job, the results speak for themselves. I would highly recommend this private clinic.

I had a good experience on the day of my surgery but have been having some issues with healing and scarring since. The scarring in the area where I had surgery is quite bad, including what appears to be a raised, possible keloid scar. I have sent 4 emails over the past month and have received no response. It is really disappointing as I had a good experience until now. Because of this lack of post-op care, I just can't recommend this hospital. What is the point of paying so much for surgery when they don't even bother giving you proper aftercare? I paid £5,000 to be scarred.

Update to my review:
The email provided is the one I have emailed 4 times in the last month and received no response. My surgeon promised me a scarless procedure... so no, I didn't expect this level of scarring.

From my first zoom consultation to my post opp appointments I knew I was making the right decision with choosing Manchester Private Hospital.
I had an open rhinoplasty with Mr Khan in February, from the moment I walked into the hospital on the day of surgery I felt so cared for. I explained my fear of needles and they handled this so well, making me feel comfortable every step of the way. The surgery went really well and I had very little pain afterwards. Upon leaving I was given a booklet with all the information necessary for my recovery.
All the staff at Manchester Private Hospital make you feel so cared for and welcomed the second you enter the building, from the receptionists to the surgeons themselves.
Mr Khan has done an amazing job of my open rhinoplasty, it has healed really well and for people that don’t know I have had surgery, they can’t tell due to the work of Mr Khan being so good. I couldn’t recommend this place more !

Dr Khan did exactly what I asked for, I couldn’t be happier with my rhinoplasty. Unbelievable results. The whole team were amazing on the day of my surgery, I was very well looked after.
